- winhubjam, on 10/26/2007, -0/+15Thank you Tristan for speaking the truth. Too many so-called Christians in this nation have become complete "lay down artists" when it comes to engaging in the culture war and taking a stand for Jesus Christ. It makes my blood boil when I see weak believers bowing their knee to the god of political correctness. This is why the enemies of God are getting bolder in ther attacks against the Church.
- mortification71, on 10/26/2007, -1/+15Jesus told his apostles to sell their coats to buy a sword each, when he sent them out to preach the second time. Before his crucifixion he asked an apostle to bring a sword with him, as he knew he would be set upon in the garden of Gethsemane. Why? To wreak vengeance? No, vengeance is Gods. To attack unbelievers? No, not even once. It was to DEFEND THEMSELVES, not to “Live by the sword” as he told Peter who was about to go on a rampage. Jesus also said "I came not to bring peace but a sword". He said that he came to divide people from those that follow him and those that don’t. Jesus whipped people in God’s temple and upturned the tables of those believers who were behaving horribly. The Bible says that he will come again at the end of time and slaughter all the enemies of God. “Jesus the pacifist” is a politically correct invention used to neuter Christians. Prince of peace he certainly is, but his peace is not the “hippy socialist peace” used by God’s enemies to disempower believers. His peace is doing everything within our power to reveal Gods truth to an evil world. His truth causes peace to believers and total discomfort to haters of the truth. To listen to the words of Jesus we need to physically defend ourselves (no rampages), smash the tables of the hypocrites, speak the truth without ever apologising for it and not be afraid to offend truth-haters. We too may get crucified for it. Nobody ever got crucified for being a doormat for the wicked (or got to heaven for that matter).
- bone2pick6, on 10/26/2007, -0/+13This commentary hit the nail on the head! It is in line with what our Lord tells us.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV) 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. - onemidnight, on 10/26/2007, -0/+12Christians tend to hide their fear and/or apathy beneath a mask of professed compassion, understanding and love.
What they don't understand is that, Scripturally speaking, true compassion, understanding and love compels one to stand up for the truth at all times and at all costs. - inactive, on 10/26/2007, -0/+12This article is right on.
- KerouacCat, on 10/26/2007, -0/+11The NEXT time the WORLD sees CHRIST they'll see HIM with FIRE IN HIS EYES.
- Sandy1000, on 10/26/2007, -0/+11Tristian has it dead on!!! That idiot priest in San Fran looked like a complete and total moron for pretending he didn't "notice". What kind of special idiot doesn't notice such blatant and obvious mockery? He should be defrocked for incompetency and stupidity if nothing else! Look, if you're right, then stand up and be proud of being right! I don't care what kind of names I get called if I know I'm right. It's only when I'm unsure and unsteady that I begin to weaken, but I know for a fact that NOBODY gets to the Father in Heaven unless and ONLY they come through the saving blood of Christ and thankfully Ann Coulter knows that as well and she ain't afraid to say it and live by it! Won't the rest of the meek and weak Christian believers look like idiots during the "award ceremony" when Christ hands out the crowns and awards for all those bold enough to have done the work of the Lord and Ann gets so many of them she won't be able to carry them! All the rest of us will have to sit back and look down at the ground and wish we had had the gumption to stand up for the One who laid down His life for us but cowered in fear of name-callers from the hell bound crowd instead. I'm motivated now Ann! You have some competition for those soul-winning, crowns now girlfriend.....
- mistym90, on 10/26/2007, -0/+10Great article, we need many more like it!
- inactive, on 10/26/2007, -1/+11Bill Jack, a speaker for World View Academy, has some good advice. He said that Christians are too often hard hearted and soft headed, when they really need to be hard headed and soft hearted.
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -1/+8When Might is Right
Wrong is Right
And out goes the light
And there's no moral compass in sight
And we can't find our way home
When Wrong is Right
We all of us get tight
And we drink all night
And we're filled up with fright
And we've got no home - TeachX3, on 10/26/2007, -0/+6This is an absolutely fantastic comment, AMEN!!
- inactive, on 10/26/2007, -0/+3...and stop being "so heavenly-minded" that they're "no earthly good at all!"
- Sunking278, on 10/19/2007, -0/+2Ann Coulter was right this time around, but I'd hardly call her a great Christian by any means.
