- radiofrequency, on 11/28/2008, -3/+8When it comes to interpreting the 2nd Amendment, a gun in every American's hand is what the founding fathers wanted.
FTA: "Once upon a time, the Bill of Rights restricted only what the federal government could do: States were free to restrict free speech, conduct unreasonable searches and impose cruel and unusual punishments. But nowadays the court says that because of the 14th Amendment, adopted after the Civil War, states must respect virtually all the rights set out in the Constitution." - chickenbig, on 11/28/2008, -2/+6I guess if Mr. Daley can ignore the law, then so can the citizens of Chicago. Go out and buy some handguns and tell him where to stick his ban. If he tries to take them away, sue him. He will lose...

- Dimensio, on 11/29/2008, -0/+3Do you have any rational arguments, based in actual fact rather than the hyperbole that you have presented, to offer?
- johndavidjack, on 11/28/2008, -0/+1No, no, I'll just saw off the barrel of one of my old shotguns and create a 'hand cannon'...
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -6/+7Ah...to some liberals, the Constitution is more of an advisory document, not a set of foundational laws for America.
- inactive, on 11/28/2008, -4/+4Nothing got fixed. I was talking about liberals, not Democrats or Republicans. And why pick on Republicans? It's the Democrats who control Congress. But, the majority of the blame is laid upon the political party that controls Congress, which is... - heystoopid, on 11/28/2008, -4/+4And the corollary that pertains to all Republicans , the Constitution is a meaningless obsolete document meant to be ignored whilst head is face down in the money feeding trough and the bountiful overflowing treasury full of cash is to be looted down to the last bent brass penny .
There fixed it for you . - inactive, on 11/28/2008, -3/+2Must buy mass quantities of lucky cigs and colt 45 to pass out (my Dad actually did this).
- heystoopid, on 11/28/2008, -4/+1Wankers many abound at the mere mention of the "G" word , for all supporters of said lethal product throw logic out the door with the wife and baby and tend to forget that three point five million die annually whilst they lovingly caress their steel teddy bear oblivious to all the killed and maimed dying from it's original design intention then say these words to salve their troubled conscience "people are the problem not the gun and kiss their ever lethal steel icon yet again and stroke its butt " and then go back to reading the ten commandments at the church Sunday School as though nothing has happened without a care in the world .
So very tragic indeed .
