- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Chelsea was an underage minor. Cheney's daughter is an adult and has written a book. She talks about her life publicly. I think it was a fair question given the views of Cheney's base.

- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'll take your point under consideration in this case. If I had a gay daughter I wouldn't want anyone giving me any crap about it, and I would Love her no matter what. Perhaps the GOP should drop this whole Red Herring issue and get real. It really isn't anyone's business what goes on in the 'bedroom' of two consenting adults. People who think it's a sin should let it be between them and their God. There are far more important issues. Live and Let Live is a wise view in many circumstances. Too many have forgotten that.
- freff, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4The Republican party regularly aligns itself with groups like Focus on the Family who constantly criticize family arrangements like what Cheney's daughter has, and claim that it is an attack on the traditional family (as they see it). So, the question is, does Cheney, who depended on the support of Christian Evangelical groups like Focus on the Family, and regularly courted them during the 2004 election agree with their thinking? Or are THEY out of line with comments that they've made about Cheney's daughter's family arrangements, and similar ones.
And, if Focus on the Family is out of line, why is Cheney's administration still working closely with them? Simple question, and although it's a personal one, it's a relevant one. Unfortunately, Blitzer showed yet again that he has no spin, and backed away from the question as if Cheney were about to have Secret Service come and beat him on camera. Pity. I would have loved to have seen a legitimate followup, which put Cheney's outburst into real perspective. - appleann1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Little,
Don't you think you are getting a little carried away here? Cheney handled this like a perfect gentleman, never raising his voice. Did you forget the uncontrollable hissy fit Clinton pulled with Chris Wallace? Talk about losing it and physically poking the guy.

So his daughter's life has nothing to do with running the country. Why ask the question? Because it is mud-raking. It is the Democratic way to nitpick and find fault but ignore their own faults (Studds, Jefferson, Clinton, etc).

- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Blitzer was effing afraid of Cheney, and I was afraid for him too. Did you hear Blitzer's tone of voice turn to sounding like a scared child? Cheney looked like he was going to shape-shift right there and swallow Blitzer's head in one bite. Remember, this is the guy who disappears innocent people to Syrian prisons to be tortured, and throws assistants under the Bus to protect himself and Karl Rove. What stand-up guy.

- MyHappyClam, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2What has Cheney's daughter have to do with running the country? I smell "let's sling mud and dig up dirt' smearing going on, that's all. The MSM just can't find news so they have to make their own by attacking people. Yes, the question asked by the reporter, in my opinion, was an attack against Cheney and his daughter. What else does the liberal media have to report on? The Duke case is crashing down, the economy is thriving, Iraq is old news, the Democratic presidential candidates are off limits (so they won't get tainted or outed), and the Democrats control Congress which is what they wanted anyway. They are like a bunch of people strung out on caffeine but don't have any coffee. They aren't looking for news they are trying to make it and then report it. The MSM is almost as bad as lawyers.
