- btschul, on 06/22/2008, -1/+14No
- franklymister, on 06/22/2008, -2/+11I can imagine a lot of Ron Paul voters going for Bob Barr, but I'd expect far less to go for McCain than anyone, even Obama.
Chuck Baldwin, though? This is the guy who left the Republican party because Bush/Cheney was "too liberal," loves to rant about the danger of the "homosexualists" and the "NWO," wants to outlaw abortion in every case, including rape, incest, and the life of the mother, and is a vocal supporter of the 9/11 "truther" movement. Good luck with that guy. - tajitj, on 06/22/2008, -3/+10Go join Dr. Paul new organization "The Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty"
60,000+ have signed up in the first week.
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/
Then join Dr. Paul in Minnesota on Sept 2nd! Democrats are welcome. All Americans are welcome. - ExOrienteLux, on 06/22/2008, -2/+8Franklymister,
I agree. Chuck Baldwin may talk about the Constitution, but his and the Constitutional Party's religious rhetoric is disturbing. How can that possibly attract Libertarian minded Liberals?
God doesn't need the state to enforce faith; enforced virtue is no virtue. - DragonDawg, on 06/22/2008, -2/+7Ron Paul supporters have proven that they are smarter than that!
- Leadman584, on 06/22/2008, -1/+5Pastor Chuck Baldwin is very close to the moral majority. He will definitely siphon some of these votes from McCain. He has worked hard in helping Dr. Paul, but I disagree with his morality agenda.
Bob Barr seems to have gone fully libertarian. His party gave him the nod on the sixth round of balloting.
These men will garner most of the Ron Paul Republicans. - stealthcat42, on 06/22/2008, -2/+6Since neither of the two republicrat candidates offers anything close to Ron Paul's message of liberty, there is no point in voting for either. I refuse to be frightened by the "lesser-of-two-evils" that the Republican and Democratic party powers push. The obvious answer for me is that "Ron Paul" will gain the Ron Paul votes. At least my conscience can be clear.
- btschul, on 06/23/2008, -2/+5Short answer: No. Long answer: No, and go ***** yourselves you ignorant cockbags. I consider your statement that RP supporters are up for grabs uninformed.
- btschul, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3amen
- rapcrap187, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3Not a single smart supporter of Dr.Paul would ever imagine voting for Mccain.. ***** not a single smart person period should be voting for McCain.
edit* how come every time Paul is mentioned quixotic almost always follows..... I don't think I've heard this word uttered more than a half a dozen times in my life except for the hundreds used to describe Ron Paul his supporters or his campaign. - TheJeffer, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2And then there will be some like me, who will write in Ron Paul. Yes, I know that it won't be counted. Yes, I know it will be merely a symbolic gesture. Nevertheless, I'll vote for the man I support, not the lesser of two evils.
- Berkana, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2I second that. I'd sooner write in Ron Paul than vote for McCain.
- wreckosaurus, on 06/22/2008, -2/+3actually, the NWO and truther movement overlaps largely with the "revolution," and Paul himself is pro-life. I'd say Chuck Baldwin sounds to be about the closest thing to ron
- Robjayne, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Does a bear crap in the bathroom?
- lnardozi, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Not gonna happen. Going to vote AGAINST EVERY REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE. I'll go back to being a Republican when the Republican party goes back to being Republicans.
- btschul, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1I'm ***** right there with you. If people would stop being part of the problem and voting for the "lesser of two evils" and become part of the solution and vote for the best candidate, we might be able to get rid of this stupid 2 party system.
- macdoodle, on 06/22/2008, -1/+1Obama has a JD in Constitutional Law.
