- malfourmed, on 10/11/2007, -2/+73It's important to remember that what Flynt is exposing by using these tactics is not infidelity or sexual immorality, but hypocrisy.
- reed311, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21You guys that are ragging on Flynt need to understand that he has always been a champion of free speech; and has done just about as much as anyone has for it in modern times. Just look up his Supreme Court ruling where he was sued by Falwell.
- Harboggles, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21Porn FTW
- kethraal, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20Thank you ABC. Thank you for having such a nice, easy to read website. You know -- often I find myself wondering "Where can I read one page of text, presented in a 250 pixel-wide box, stretched out over four ad-filled pages?"
Thank you ABC. I shall wonder no more. - ShaneApex, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21Larry should tear everyone of them down. As violently as he can.
- UglyBunny, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13He's doing you a service by exposing the hypocrisy of so-called "moral" people. He's simply holding them to the same standards they preach.
- Wonderkind, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13Good for him. I hope he keeps right on going, and I hope he has body guards 24-7.
Every time I see a politician get nailed, I always hope the next guy will be a bit more honest, a bit less hypocritical.
Pfugh. Yeah, right. Who am I kidding? - n00854180t, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Preempted the loads of right winger nutjobs saying "OMG BUT DEMOCRATS DO IT TOO!" And you're right, I think at a fundamental level, no one really gives a ***** if you ***** some hooker. But the Repugs always try to claim they're saintly religious martyrs, too pure to do any wrong. Obviously, we can see they're lying scumbag hypocrites!
- yakimushi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10He already was... why do you think he's stuck in a wheelchair?
/I'm rooting for Flynt - toolow, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11Larry Flint is a good man. He is what a man should be, stand up for what you believe in.
- Derrekito, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Indeed, I would say that many liberals could care less if it were legal or not. Just take Haggard for example, an evangelical Christian preaching at a super church, gets caught buy drugs and having sex with a male hooker. I don't care about the drugs or the hooker, but it's his ability to preachy morality (which in this case does not meet his criteria) then turns around and gets ***** in the ass by some guy while high on amphetamines. Same issue with these republicans. legalize it, tax it, regulate it. Both hooking and drugs.
- UglyBunny, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7How does being a pornographer make you dishonest?
- UglyBunny, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5you make me laugh
- reed311, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4On what charges?
- thcobbs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4For what? Telling the truth?
He's got the money and the info. As long as he does his fact checking, I say "Good Job! Keep it up!".
We need more honesty and accountability for our public officers. - diggduggjoe, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6We would not need to bothered with this, if prostitution was legal. The madam would not exist for the girls could work on their own. It would be nice for the US to become less uptight about sex, but I know I will never see that in my lifetime.
- thcobbs, on 10/11/2007, -5/+8Except he can't stand up.
Yes, I know where I'm going.... but there's plenty of room in my hand basket. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3go larry go. its us against them. c
- miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2He would STILL have cheated in his wife and then preached family values. Making something legal does not make it moral.
- Harbinger67, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Bullets only make him go even crazier.
But that seems to be working for him, so it's cool. - Fracture98, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Gary Oldman. I don't care what it is. The answer is always Gary Oldman.
- thcobbs, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Why? Merely doing it in a professional reporting fashion is quite enough. Once you get into vengeance, you lose your credibility.
Merely exposing the acts and letting the public, represented by the individual in question, decide is performing a civic service. Otherwise its just vindictiveness. - ichbinladen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I see what you did there.
- MarkOfTheDead, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2this guarantees at least six months more of entertainment. good show, larry.
- ichbinladen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2But he's weak, and he will succumb to temptation again. I can't wait until the videos surface, so he can no longer be so evasive.
- BulkHedd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I agree that hypocrisy is the issue here but I don't understand why it only applies to conservatives. Do Democrats not portray themselves as moral and ethical at all? Do they not go to church too? If they do then they should be exposed as well.
- johng4, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2What are they gunna do? Shoot him again?
Clearly he can't be killed by conventional means. - UglieJosh, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Oh, come on. Stop burying him. We can't laugh at cripple jokes anymore?
- Shadowhawk109, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I think we can say now that we're a fan of Flynt's work...
But seriously, folks, I don't know what it'll take to get corruption out of government, but as long as people are doing what they can to clear that crap out, I'm happy. - miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1WHy would you speak for everyone?
- miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"as violently" as he can? Do you mean as "vehemently"?
- Fracture98, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Wackof... oh, Win. Nevermind.
- BulkHedd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I agree. You shouldn't be telling a whole nation how to live and behave. You shouldn't tell people they should not drive an SUV. You should not make laws requiring me to wear a seatbelt. You should not tell me how to save the environment and then fly your private jet all over hell and half of Georgia.
- ShaneApex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No Violently as he can. These members of government should be embarassed publicly so badly, their children should be scared to go to school. Some examples need to be made of people. The same as what the government does to its own people.
- burnstyle, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3
"But the POLITICIANS always try to claim they're saintly religious martyrs, too pure to do any wrong. Obviously, we can see they're lying scumbag hypocrites!"
[FIXED] - 13AH, on 10/11/2007, -7/+7Irony is alive and well when Larry Flynt is a pillar for honesty and the law makers are crooks.
- AXNJAXN, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Jabba the Hutt, maybe?
- faskippy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Most people will tell you they believe in strong morals. Most people will tell you they HAVE strong morals. At issue, is the fact that conservatives like to call themselves "the moral majority", and love to point fingers, make laws that attempt to force people into a box that they preach is the right way to be. But just like a catholic priest, will do what their libidos tell them behind closed doors. It's sickening, and offensive to my spirit. You shouldn't be telling a whole nation how to live and behave, when you seek the services of a call girl so you can get your diaper changed.
- Fracture98, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2I never stopped. If they chase me, I just run up a hill.
- diggduggjoe, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1There is nothing immoral about sex. Forcing men to have a single women goes against their natures and that should be considered immoral.
- countrygirl31, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Sounds like a WWF announcement for the porn industry.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3First, you should spell his name properly.
- RuthLoose, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I can't wait to see who portrays Flint in the sequel to "The People vs. Larry Flint." I want me some Philip Seymour Hoffman!!!
- Aaronontheweb, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Flynt is the biggest hypocrite of them all... a Hypocrite is someone who says something he or she does not believe, not does one thing and says another. When men who believe in virtue fail to adhere to it, that's not hypocritical; it's a failure to measure up to one's own values. Flynt, who doesn't believe in any sort of morality but goes after politicians who do and exposing them as some sort of "ethical frauds," is the biggest hypocrite of all, given that he cares not for virtue in the first place.
- djphatjive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2I'm holding out for 2 million.
- toolow, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3I'm real sorry about that, asshat.
- c0yote, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1No one cares about you or your crappy opinion piece. Since you're spamming it, I buried your story as spam. Have a nice day.
- bonhoeffer, on 10/11/2007, -7/+0Senator Vitter wins this round. Flynt got some chuckles for a few days. Vitter has a long career as a conservative U.S. Senator who has solidified his family and constituent relationships and doesn't have to look over his shoulder or face blackmail.
- c0yote, on 10/11/2007, -9/+0The whole thing about hypocrisy is pretty dumb. If I say "X is bad it should be illegal" and a candidate says he agrees with me, and VOTES on bills as such, I don't care at all what he does in his personal life.
I want my elected representatives to make laws based on their campaign promises and platform. What they do besides introducing legislation and voting is irrelevant. - simplejoe79, on 10/11/2007, -17/+2Flynt is not doing anyone a service
