- Elderon, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1How could they not be. Kinda of a dumb title in my opinion. Here's my take on this: Atheists in my opinion would serve a better role in political leadership positions because they would not let their judgement be skewed by what they feel the bible / god / church wants them to do. This means that they would be non biased and only looking out for the good of the country. I'm sure others feel differently, thats fine too, but you must understand first that not everyone is christian or whatever flavor of religion is popular now.

* Democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people.
-Abraham Lincoln
* The strongest argument against democracy is a five minute discussion with the average voter.
-Sir Winston Churchill
* When the people fear the government, there is Tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is Liberty.
-Thomas Jefferson - 4U55l3NlNJ4, on 11/13/2007, -2/+1An atheists judgment is skewed by what they feel about bible/god/church, that's the whole point of being an atheist. add to that Atheism is a religion. Are you really that ignorant or just plain stupid??
