- TheEngineer2008, on 02/16/2009, -10/+36That Congressman from Texas is spot on! I hope he runs for president in 2012!
- mark076h, on 02/17/2009, -3/+23Don't Blame Me, I Voted For Ron Paul
- inactive, on 02/16/2009, -7/+19I love the "where were we" ribbing he gave the RINOs at the end. Suck on it, neocons. America loves Dr. Paul & we can't stand (or afford) you & your dimwitted big government policies!!!
- govsucks, on 02/16/2009, -6/+16The things Ron Pauls doesn't like that he would use force to prevent others from doing couldn't fill a thimble.
Big Difference.
You see unlike the Democrat and Republican collectivists, Ron Paul may not like what you are doing, but he believes you should be free to do it. Try getting that kind of open mindedness out of a borg dron....err democrat. - govsucks, on 02/16/2009, -8/+18The only person in D.C. that understands freedom.
What we need Roro is for government and all the GD collectivist know-it-alls to leave us alone and keep their greedy ***** hands to themselves. - TheEngineer2008, on 02/16/2009, -6/+16Dr. Paul does care. We've spent the last eight years burying ourselves in $5T of additional debt. If that wasn't enough stimulus, why would another $1T do the trick? What we really need is freedom FROM big government, not more of it.
- muckemuck, on 02/17/2009, -5/+14Obama supporters - tomorrow we'll see if the stock market agrees with Obama or not. How much of your money are you putting into the market since you think this Stimulus is such a great thing?
- StingingNettle, on 02/17/2009, -1/+10Same as the last administration. Congress couldn't read the patriot act either, they had to vote yes or be doomed!
- muckemuck, on 02/17/2009, -3/+11Yeah.. like the foreign policy of the neoconservatives was a good thing for our country. Ha.
Using fear of "terrorism" to sell war is a scam. - inactive, on 02/17/2009, -6/+13Commentary: Libertarian ideas to stimulate economy
http://edition.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/02/05/miron.l ... - muckemuck, on 02/17/2009, -3/+10Some great ideas there, thanks!
- ippey, on 02/16/2009, -8/+15The things Ron Paul doesn't like could fill the Grand Canyon.
/prepares for buries - BotchaMcCoola, on 02/17/2009, -1/+7At least he knows the difference between terrorist crimes and Military attacks by Iraq and Afghanistan. I bet you and Bush don't.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -6/+12Congressional Budget Office: Obama stimulus harmful over long haul
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/feb/04/cb ... - muckemuck, on 02/17/2009, -5/+11If you listened to him during the primaries you heard the exact same thing he's saying today. While McCain was on the stage telling us we weren't going into a recession and that our "fundamentals" were strong Ron Paul was warning people that our banks were about to crash and the "solution" would be more debt and bigger government. Who was right?
If you go back and listen to what he was saying 3 years ago -- same thing.
It's not "sour grapes", it's not that he's being contrarian. He saw long ago (read what he was saying in the 80's) that our government was spending beyond it's means and the Federal Reserve was being used to create artificial bubbles. - TheEngineer2008, on 02/16/2009, -4/+10I think it may bump up the economy in the short term, but I have no idea how the U.S. will handle all this debt. Unfortunately, while the politicians who ran the country over the past eight years defined themselves as conservatives, they were not fiscal conservatives at all. In fact, they were contemptuous of the principles of fiscal conservatism.
Anyway, my point was simply to state that Dr. Paul really does care and that he does has a prescription for what ails the nation. - kemp34, on 02/17/2009, -2/+7If you don't vote for this 1,000 page behemoth of a bill, we will all die!!
(insert ***** legislation that then passes...) - NoLibertarians, on 02/17/2009, -1/+6And yet all these moron Congressman will go back to work tomorrow tossing in pork to other bills to try and stimulate their home state's economy.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -6/+11Japan’s Big-Works Stimulus Is Lesson
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/06/world/asia/06jap ... - yocouchdigga, on 02/17/2009, -2/+6he doesn't act it, he'll probably have my vote unless Kucinich runs again.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -4/+8First ever Libertarian artical on CNN.com. Baby steps.
- Hortnon, on 02/17/2009, -1/+51500 views in 2 days.
Yeah, he's reallllllll popular... - Hortnon, on 02/17/2009, -2/+6You're right - Paul's big thing is making it so other people can do his dirty work and remove people's rights.
- reed311, on 02/17/2009, -0/+3Not on my watch, sailor.
- newshound76, on 02/17/2009, -2/+5agree about the Utopian society part
- NoLibertarians, on 02/17/2009, -2/+5Yes, but no one watches Paul's Youtube videos except his few supporters. You of all people should understand how useless Youtube is. Or did you miss the primary results.
- NoLibertarians, on 02/17/2009, -2/+5He's on TV right now because the serious folks were working on a good stimulus package, while he just chose to go on TV and bitch about everything. His message is DOA, and always has been because he is still widely considered a Kook. He's not part of the solution, he's part of the problem
- BotchaMcCoola, on 02/17/2009, -4/+6Scary delusions out there.
- realunderdog, on 02/17/2009, -0/+2YES WE CAN?
- SouthsideIrish, on 02/17/2009, -0/+1Most important one is missing. Get rid of FICA giving businesses more money to hire people.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -1/+2In the USA he's too old. In China, he'd be *just* on the verge of becoming old *enough* to be considered. And this guy's a VERY healthy MD. In Orlando, I saw him lift a little girl up for a photo like she weighed 10 pounds, and this was a big enough 'little' kid to hurt your back if you're not in good shape.
- yocouchdigga, on 02/17/2009, -3/+4where do you come up with this *****?
- chupavacas, on 02/17/2009, -2/+3Yeah he's been saying this stuff his entire political career. He's on t.v. right now because he was right and his message is resonating. What we need right now is for him to keep saying it because the Obama Plan is flawed and will not work. Government spending is not the answer but that is what the liberal Keynesians believe. Your guy won so you get to implement that flawed economic idea but it won't work and you'l be spending a whole lot of other people's money just to learn the hard way.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -3/+4I don't feel it is fair that the stimulus will have to be paid off by 18-24 year olds. "millennials"
But I can see the governments reasoning
Baby Boomers 70 million (retiring), Generation X46 million (current), Millennials 76 million (Next)

More people to pay off the debt. Means it will cost them less each. Still not a fan! - richmomz, on 02/17/2009, -2/+2Yes, "He Who's Name Must Not Be Spoken" is right once again!
- bwb012, on 02/17/2009, -1/+1no one even read the stimulus bill, our "leaders" suck
- AnotherDiggGuy, on 02/17/2009, -1/+1If you pay down debt and save money, your a bad American. You need to stimulate the economy.
I guess we're all supposed to be consumers, and not creators. - BotchaMcCoola, on 02/17/2009, -2/+2Just wondering. How many of you understand Approval Voting? Do you feel it would enable third party candidates to be viable?
- kniaz, on 02/17/2009, -1/+1As opposed to you having control over everything right now? Talk about insane. Get that finger out of your ass and whipe down the ***** on your glasses, moron.
- richmomz, on 02/17/2009, -2/+2"Seemed like a great day to me and tons of unemployed Americans"
Are you suffering from a split personality disorder? You just posted the following comment a few lines down: "And yet all these moron Congressman will go back to work tomorrow tossing in pork to other bills to try and stimulate their home state's economy." - richmomz, on 02/17/2009, -1/+1Aaaand... the market's down 250 points and broke through the lows of last fall.
- FreedomsFire, on 02/17/2009, -1/+1Don't you have something you believe in, that others believe in so that you could spend your time making comments that built up something rather than tears something down?
I would think it's ***** insane to search for Ron Paul articles just so you can add a bury, and make obnoxious comments that will only get buried by the other people on the board. Don't you realize you only have so much time on this earth before you die, and you're choosing to waste that time smearing Ron Paul? That's nuts. - inactive, on 02/17/2009, -3/+2They said the same thing to you, it seems, but like it or not, Dr. Paul's a Republican congrescritter. Get used to sucking on it for another 2 years of YouTube "he told you so theater."
- BotchaMcCoola, on 02/17/2009, -5/+4???
- richmomz, on 02/17/2009, -3/+2That's why they call him "Dr. No". Of course I don't blame him since he's virtually the only politician in Washington that still respects the Constitution and isn't afraid to vote down anything that contradicts it.
- richmomz, on 02/17/2009, -3/+1"I am sorry, but it is too easy to be a contrarian in hard times." He's been warning us about this for years - it's only now that the problems have emerged that people are all of a sudden listening to what he's saying.
- richmomz, on 02/17/2009, -3/+1As his username indicates, he's a little biased.
- RoroCo, on 02/16/2009, -16/+12You know... I liked Ron Paul at first even though I was an Obama supporter. I disagreed with some of his ideas, but I respected that he was true to his party's ideals - which I actually think can work in the right situation. But now... He seems to be on every news channel every day complaining that government is too big, that we need to deregulate, and that everything is going to *****.
I am sorry, but it is too easy to be a contrarian in hard times... It is too easy to bitch from the pulpit when people are in pain... that is not what we need right now Congressman. - NoLibertarians, on 02/17/2009, -13/+8He's bitter for his losses and trying to stir ***** up for revenge
