- MercyPolitics, on 12/28/2008, -21/+240The point I am making here is simple:After 8 years of Bush, this horrific car bomb in Iraq doesn't even make the headlines. We have become numb to death, violence and wars. That is the sad reality of our times.
- Chaotyk, on 12/29/2008, -6/+80Bush had NOTHING to do with the latest Call of Duty release

Clinton, Bush - all OWNED puppets working for the same creatures. Bought, sold & paid-for. Controlled by much greater, wealthier masters than "we the people"..
They are a face- a voice- a presence to dangle before the idiot consumers of the 9/11 complicit treasonist print and television media.
They run nothing.
They only pretend to "represent" us. It's a farce.
The left right paradigm is fake. A Divide & Conquer mechanism. Keep us separated, confused and distracted, fighting amongst ourselves over non-issues and petty, meaningless bull *****. They tag team us and they run nothing. They work for a global syndicate of soulless mobsters that are ruthless, powerful, and have "one world government" as their crowning goal. They are only following orders anymore.
Eisenhower warned us to beware of the military industrial complex back in 1961. Look what America has de-volved into now. Tricked & deceived into no-exit murderous wars mired overseas in the Middle East fighting someone else's enemies. America has been suckered in one more time.
Sometimes we don't even need to hear what is on the controlled "news".. we are being spoon fed of what they think we should believe in.
America is controlled by what the government wants you to think. They tell you through the media. The media is controlled by the same big family that profits from war.
When telling the truth is "controversial', what does that say of us as a people?
The Zionist sits in his "think tank" and plots the downfall of the American people. This costly and deadly endless war was years in the making in the bowels of the Jewish think tanks where they sit and conspire how to bankrupt the American people in the name of Israel.
The defeat of the neo-CON PNAC agenda is the primary challenge facing America today.
They call for a "war against terror" while sponsoring terrorism themselves.
The Zionist "American" government is using disinformation against the American people.
The ENTIRE media is in on the neo-CON agenda and no radio or talk show host is to be trusted.
The Zionist Neocon PNAC agenda must be defeated.
The Zionist is intent on ruining the American people in the name of Israel.
"You're either with U.S. or you're with the Neocons."
The Neoconservative is the enemy of the American people.
"Al Qaeda" is nothing more than code for anyone who opposes the PNAC Neocon agenda.
The "War On Terror" is an absolute crock of *****. Wake the ***** up people.
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. 'The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the state." - Dr. Joseph M. Goebbels - Hitler's propaganda minister - JenniferInMO, on 12/28/2008, -15/+65I agree with you, Mercy. For years we have become desensitized to death. It has been a plan. The Iraq war brought us occasional reports of death and injury, but we are shielded from the blood, the faces of the dead and the victims of war. It is in far off lands where we don't have personal connections. We rarely even hear reports from Afghanistan and the violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians goes on so often and is so horrible that we have to tone it down in our minds because we feel so helpless to do anything about it.
- Anomaly100, on 12/28/2008, -7/+50FTA:
"Police in the northern city of Kirkuk also arrested six suspected insurgents, including the former driver of Hassan al-Majid — Saddam Hussein's cousin who is also known as "Chemical Ali," for ordering poison gas attacks against Iraq's Kurdish minority in the 1980s. Police Col. Bastoun Qafari said they were arrested in a pre-dawn raid."
How do some people live with themselves. Chemical Ali! I wonder if he's proud of that nickname? - aereaus, on 12/28/2008, -8/+49The "Powers That Be" want WWIII. They want the world at war. War is profit and population control. They see that Islam is the greatest threat to their power since the downfall of the USSR. America is planning on arming local Afghan warlords to fight the Taliban, and those weapons will fuel tensions in the region. Now that Pakistan and India are at each others throats again, those weapons might end up killing Hindus.
An endless cycle.
"Because of a curious disease of the human mind, it pleases us to enshrine in history records of bloodshed and slaughter, so that those ignorant of the facts of the world may become acquainted with the crimes of mankind." - Pliny - terenceyap7, on 12/28/2008, -2/+43...one only wonders if the amount of money and effort spent on wars actually caused the financial deficits and recessions.
- Batfishy, on 12/28/2008, -1/+33actually, I more apt to question how the deaths caused by this war were in any way worth it. They weren't. To hell with oil and taking down regimes that aren't our business. Sure the money is a lot, but I don't care about it like I care about the needless deaths. Remember, most of them were just plain old people like you and I, trying to live our lives, provide for our loved ones, and get by the best way we can, with a little happiness thrown in. And our poor young men? Coming home not only in boxes, or sick, with no real help. Don't even get me started.
- inactive, on 12/28/2008, -0/+30"...one only wonders if the amount of money and effort spent on wars actually caused the financial deficits and recessions."
If not actually caused it, at least a major contributing factor. - inactive, on 12/28/2008, -11/+40Title is perfect, you're absolutely correct....
- BassMastr, on 12/28/2008, -11/+36You really think all of that can be caused by one man???
- kaivalangi, on 12/29/2008, -13/+36This is the stupidest thing I've ever read. The idea that George Bush is somehow responsible for 2,000 years of hostility in the Middle East would be hilarious if it wasn't actually believed by so many people to make it actually dangerous.
- ahage16, on 12/29/2008, -11/+33I dislike Bush as much as the next guy, but Bush cannot be blamed for violence between Israel and Palestinians after decades of foreign policy that did nothing to stop it, either.
- pintomp3, on 12/29/2008, -1/+19this is the first time the US has gone to war and cut taxes at the same time. it was entirely funded on credit.
- Budzone5000, on 12/28/2008, -1/+19If you research that time and the gassing event, it becomes clear that the CIA knew what was happening. R Reagan was Commander & chief (though I doubt he knew any of this). Why did the CIA know anything? We backed Saddam Hussein's government at the time for, "political reasons".
I don't argue that the US involvement in the last 8 years has made the situation in the middle east even worse. It does. But to be frank, it doesn't do a lot to blog about it if we don't ACT and start petitioning our own government to press on Israel to chill out!
This is nothing new. But this is escalating and could morph into WW3 - bushisadumbass, on 12/29/2008, -6/+24Actually, the reason that this story does not make the healine is because we as Americans are too stupid and lazy to care.
We only care about stupid reality shows and having the latest Ipod. This is one of the reasons the country is in the *****. People not caring about the real issues. - isgk, on 12/29/2008, -5/+22More like history is just this way, do you honestly think that carbombs killing tens of people during Clinton's term always made headlines? Do you honestly think that it was different during the 70's, or the 60's or the 50's? History happened before 8 years ago you know. This is life, we have been numb to violence of people we don't know for hundreds of years now, don't act like it's something new.
It's not bad or stupid to hope for something better, but to think that today is different shows a lack of understanding of history. - jimchap, on 12/28/2008, -14/+28not one man - one man with no brain and Cabinet filled with self rightous animals
- Batfishy, on 12/28/2008, -6/+19One man and his nasty buddies.

You're right, the crimes of the past free us from responsibility today. I'm gonna go rob a bank. - algaeturd, on 12/29/2008, -16/+28But look around. Even those uneducated enough to vote for this idiot (some twice) are defending his 'legacy' because they know they're partly to blame for the mess we're in.
I have absolutely no doubt that the history books will show this man for the bungling, idiotic mess that he has been. And there will be equal blame on his inept administration as well.
There is no doubt that by the time this entire situation is over, these years will be looked upon as the WORST in American history, our biggest blunder, our most evil hour. And not only that, has anyone else noticed how ***** DUMB Americans have become in the past 8 years?
I mean ***** DUMB AS DIRT. The dumbing down worked. Proof positive if ANY LIVING CREATURE that would look up to Sarah Palin as a 'capable' potential leader.
***** A, America. You've got a ***** to answer to and you're not even out of the ***** yet. - inactive, on 12/28/2008, -1/+13wan bush is forgotten,,, his "partly"depleted uranium munitions will be thought of quite a bit
- wirerat1, on 12/29/2008, -2/+13While I readily agree he had me to the Zionist part as well, I will give him some credit. Our blind faith and show of support to Israel through thick and thin has only hurt OUR INTEREST (US interests) in the Middle East. Politicians do what politicians do and they will say whatever gets the Jewish block to vote their way. US/UN ignorance following the end of World War II created the fundamental issue here and frankly we need to wake the hell up and acknowledge that the Palestinians can not just ignored, forgotten or blamed for everything. Jesus, we "gave" the Palestinians democracy and they voted for a pro-Palestinian oriented party. OMG, they are terrorists! They didn't vote the way we wanted.. so what do we do? Blockade them. Then we get mad because the people shoot rockets into Israel out of frustration? Wow, silly them. I don't agree with all of the baggage that comes with the word Zionist, but the US's blind support of Israel is a foolish decision that eventually needs to be addressed.
- MacParrot, on 12/29/2008, -3/+12We give pretty much an equal amount to Israel, so don't you go hating on Egypt!
- enantiodromia, on 12/29/2008, -20/+29Zionists, eh?
What's next, Lizard People? - GreatSunJester, on 12/29/2008, -3/+12BZZZ --- Wrong. People certainly do not need Bush to kill each other, the middle east is just a bit better at it.
- Pake, on 12/29/2008, -13/+22I could care less about Bush, but the ***** in the middle east would have happened one way or another. You can't just stop thousands of years of religious conflict and wars about natural resources over night. We're obviously not helping, but considering the history of that region, I doubt we're even making it worse.
- travh99, on 12/29/2008, -1/+9akchrs was commenting on the absurd focuses of the media, not accusing Obama of anything
- MacParrot, on 12/29/2008, -2/+10Laying the groundwork for WW1? Really? Trying to stay out of WW2 by remaining neutral? That laid the groundwork for WW2? Really? WE invaded North Korea? Really? There were enough blunders and bravado laying the groundwork for Vietnam to fill quite a few digg posts so I'll give you that one but the rest of what you said is nonsense
- JekJob, on 12/28/2008, -3/+11I love video games but hate wars. I don't think children are to blame for the disaster in the Middle East - it's Bush and Cheney and the guys who think they're above the law. If the Founding Fathers were alive today, they would be quite disappointed.
- wirerat1, on 12/29/2008, -0/+8I hate what the current president has done to this country, but I have to admit, we are all to blame. The past 30+ years especially has been all about passing the buck to someone else for everything. Congress through the 1980s and beyond has slowly let the notion of checks and balances to slide out the window. Congress was happy to give the responsibility of oversight of the Executive and Judiciary to the President so they can act all astonished when things go wrong. It is much easier for them to sit there in committee and grand stand then to be an advocate for the people all the time while in session. Either because Congress has decided special interest is more important or because they are always thinking about re-election, Congress both Republican and Democrat has brought us to the point at which we are. Think about it instead of being good representatives of the people, they sat out in front of Congress and sang on 9/11. They showed their love of the country by signing like a 4th grade choir.
I stand by my convictions that the only two politicians in Congress that I trust are Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. Polar opposites, but they truly care and represent the people. It is only fitting that we wallow in the craphole we are because we don't deserve such caring.. because we don't care ourselves and happily pass the buck and make the idiot savant President responsible for all our troubles. - norman619, on 12/29/2008, -0/+8"If anything it helped to prevent the recession. "
From what I can see it didn't do a whole lot of preventing. Last I checked we are in a recession. - pintomp3, on 12/29/2008, -3/+11we could start by not giving one side billions of taxpayer dollars every year.
- jhails, on 12/29/2008, -5/+13Post World War II America is a Mafia State that has "protected and nourished" a growing middle class of people who have been oblivious to the nature of their government and its role in the world.
As long as the cars are shiny, the gas cheap and the housing affordable, americans turned a blind eye to the havoc which the world's super power ensured its future wealth.
The world is changing and the Mafia State no longer needs an American middle class to finance its expansion. The well being of middle class americans and the infrastructure they thought they owned is of no concern to the IMF. Their bean counters see such things as impediments that will only limit their profit margins.
Now that the American experiment in capitalism has run its course, they are looking to cash out before it collapses. This is why there has been such a propensity for privatization of everything from health care to the military. They will abandon this place called America, take their wealth and use it to advance their agendas from the private enclaves of the super wealthy, protected by well paid private security firms flying via personal jets to meet with their international counterparts in future growth states such as China, India and the Middle East.
The international drug trade, weapons dealing, and energy interests will continue to lead their financial interests but they will joined by water rights, patented food crops, and complete control over all forms of communication. - novenator, on 12/29/2008, -0/+7Tynan, that is only part of the story. US troop deaths are finally coming down, that's awesome. The problem is in the fact that once mixed neighborhoods have now been ethnically cleansed, with huge walls and checkpoints dividing them. This is only a temporary solution, and didn't really solve the internal issues the Iraqis have.
- godd4242, on 12/29/2008, -2/+9QUICKLY, BLAME THE JEWS
I agree that going around patting Israel on the ass everytime they shot someone in the Gaza Strip was stupid, but when we're strolling around Iraq and Afghanistan with the safeties off on our m16s you can't exactly point fingers. So yeah, the article has it right in that the war on terror has messed ***** up. - topgigmedia, on 12/29/2008, -2/+9I think Bush is given too much credit. He is a complete moron and is completely incapable of such great, diabolical thoughts, let alone executing them.
I agree he is a complete mess and a train wreck of a president, but come on. - xfitzyx, on 12/29/2008, -0/+7Do you think that because there has been no attacks in the US, that it's a success? The US asked for allied support around the world, and since then there has been numerous terrorist attacks in other parts of the world, attributed to the 'war on terror'.
I'm not arguing about success or failure, but there sure has been a bit more than ZERO successful attacks worldwide since 9/11. I think it's reasonable to include the whole world on this one. - opticwind, on 12/29/2008, -0/+7Uh, no respect for Bush but Pakistan and India have been at each other's throat, with even closer calls than this, before Bush come to power.
- pintomp3, on 12/29/2008, -6/+13are you claiming they don't exist? someone should tell these guys:

- UnterDenLinden, on 12/29/2008, -4/+10How can you say that when he isn't even out of office? Give him at least 5 years and then judge, other Presidents have been just as unpopular.
- mrwoo, on 12/29/2008, -2/+8True but whats the harm in hoping! Even if it's false hope! I'll keep hoping until the the end of January! Then it's back to complaining again!
- inactive, on 12/29/2008, -0/+6No but I find it hard to fathom that CoD 4 would be around today without him.
- Anonchrist, on 12/29/2008, -1/+7Lets not blame Bush for being the source of violence in the Middle east. If any one man is to blame for this, then let it be Mohamed. Let him bare the sins against humanity that have been inspired by his name. Yes, Bush did launch a war that only could work in an action movie, but it was the only thing he knew how to do. He tried to defeat an idea with violence. He failed to acknowledge Christian nations are the most prosperous in the world because they have secular governments that protect the rights of their people. That is why we should have never of fought a war against a religion (radical Islam) without attacking the religion with ideas instead of weapons.
Everyone seems to forget that the people governing us are waiting for revelations to unfold, because Americans want someone as deluded as them to make sure the government maintains the lie. Meanwhile, we have psychotic killers in the middle east that have their own imaginary friend to appease... This really would be ***** funny, if it were not really happening.
Maybe one day, people will look back on history and wonder if we were all really this crazy... - Defenestrator09, on 12/29/2008, -4/+10lol @ blaming America for everything wrong in the world because your country is irrelevant.
