- mcarrera, on 09/08/2008, -2/+4I would add to the list a certain mcshameful presidential candidate
- Darren07, on 09/08/2008, -3/+5Killing 100,000 innocent civilians, completely destroying the country's infrastructure, and then not understanding how "they don't appreciate it", is EPIC ignorance, stupidity and apathy.
- Nodaki, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Using poker terms, President Bush did not go "all in". If he had went "all in" he would have re-instituted the draft and seized Iraq and all of its assets as United States property. The country would be renamed to Babylonia and we would build giant theme parks, casinos, and golf courses there. The Iraqi people would be like the Hispanics of the United States, essentially a peasant working class with the illusion of rights and freedom.
The new "crusade" would give Israel absolute dominion over Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, parts of Egypt and Saudi Arabia for being good little boot lickers.
If any Euro country dare speak against our authority we would destroy their capital city and occupy it until they all apologized.
I don't understand why the United States keeps half assing its empire building efforts. If we are going to be an Imperial country, I say we go all the way with guns blazing and flags waving until all bow down to us, with the exception of China since we still need someone to manufacture all of our junk that doesn't mind living in an industrial polluted ***** hole.
Or we could mind our own business, protect our national interests, re-build our world standing through example and trade. All I know is there is two paths we can take, the dickhole or the nice guy. If we continue homogenizing the two we will fail. - apastafarian, on 09/08/2008, -2/+3Bush, like a certain vice presidential candidate is was and never will be a competent national leader. A party coddled Governor maybe, able to capitalize on and create partisan divisions to "win" yes, but a national leader capable of speaking for the majority of Americans? NO!

- poprocksandsoda, on 09/09/2008, -1/+1What Bush haters fail to acknowledge is that no President will ever admit failure during a war. What fool would? Wipe out troop morale? Give the enemy a hardon?
Woodward is like Suskind; he writes great books that always end with a Left-wing conclusion unsupported by the facts presented in all the prior chapters.
The fog of war dictates that you never show your cards and that you put on a poker face. The President has delivered perfectly as Commander in Chief and history will be kind to him. No Woodward book or Left propoganda can change that.
