The only reason Bush got away with his recess appointment last spring was because he tricked Congress (read: lied in writing) into canceling their pending vote (which would have failed) after pretending to withdraw the nominee. If Congress just sends this one down in flames (so to speak), then Bush can't recess appoint a nominee who has been actively rejected, can he? - SheilaNoya, on 10/30/2007, -0/+5What happened to the Democrat's strategy of limiting all future congressional breaks to less than 10 days? That would prevent Bush from making any more recess apppointments.
