**SPREAD THE TRUTH!!!**
Obama/Biden 2008 - AmeriPatriot, on 10/11/2008, -9/+128Can someone please talk about McCain and his 2 NO votes to pass legislation that would protect women, doctors and nurses at abortion clinics. He supported home grown terrorism by not protecting people who were legally doing their jobs.
There's also his good friend, Gordon Liddy.
And of course, there's the ALBANIAN AMERICAN CIVIC LEAGUE who endorses McCain and has ties to Al-Qaida
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.vie ...
Oh and let's not forget about Ayers, he was chosen to be on the board of directors by the Annenberg Foundation.
Mrs. Annenberg gave Ayers the $50 million and since over the weekend Mrs. Annenberg endorsed McCain, it's safe to assume he's paling around with terrorists through his association with Mrs. Annenberg. - jasoninoakland, on 10/12/2008, -10/+106No one believes the Obama-Ayers connection means anything except those who really want a plausible-sounding excuse not to vote for the black guy.
- homercles337, on 10/11/2008, -8/+79Im glad more truth is getting out there. However, this will do nothing to quell the ***** crazy, rabid right-wing that have allergic reactions to reason, logic, and facts.
- neonoodle, on 10/12/2008, -3/+37How about McCain in the Keating 5?
Or McCain and Anthony Bouscaren?
Or McCain and the Oregon Citizen's Alliance?
Or McCain and Marilyn Shannon?
Or Palin and the Secessionist Party?
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, but I guess McCain doesn't really care since even if he breaks his glass house, he has 6 more. - richirwin, on 10/12/2008, -1/+34William C. Ibershof: "I am very pleased to learn that he [William Ayers] has become a responsible citizen."
Why does Mr. Ibershof hate America?
(that was sarcasm, btw) - warrenterr, on 10/12/2008, -3/+28Great! Can we move on now, McCain supporters?
- hierophantus, on 10/12/2008, -4/+29Google Spam is not appreciated
Google Copy and paste is for trolls
Google Smears are smears - enantiodromia, on 10/12/2008, -3/+27yeah but... hmmm. what you have to consider is... uhh... hmmm.
THIS PROSECUTOR HATES AMERICA
? - ErickStevenson, on 10/12/2008, -2/+22I hate blacks, I mean "muslims".... seriously these people should just say it already and get it off their chest.
- nirav72, on 10/12/2008, -3/+22Fine..I'll google the above names with obama. But right after you google.
McCain Loosing election
Palin Ditzy idiot
McCain Angry old man
See how that works? - enantiodromia, on 10/12/2008, -0/+19gosh, all that time spent writing your post, and not one person will bother reading it
- Mujokan, on 10/12/2008, -2/+20"ACORN has given the Obama camp over $800K Geee nothing wrong here? "
Get it right.
The *Obama campaign* *paid* $830,000 *to* Citizens Services Inc., a separate nonprofit whose Chicago offices are in the same building as Acorn's. This was for get-out-the-vote work. The two non-profits sometimes work together.
No-one has yet given any evidence as to how this Acorn thing could help Obama. - inactive, on 10/12/2008, -2/+19McCain and Palin are bankrupt when it comes to ideas and good policy proposals. All they have to offer is....don't vote for that guy...be afraid! They have ZERO credibility, class and leadership skills. Obama '08!!!!
- warrenterr, on 10/12/2008, -1/+18Yeah dude, I'm sure you can link McCain to more corrupt people than you can with Obama (since he's been in politics longer). Off the top of my head... charles keating and his campaign manager who is a huge lobbyist.
Seriously, if Obama made it this far, don't you think the democratic party has checked, rechecked and double checked his background with any terrorists? I don't know what would convince a McCain supporter to stop looking at irrevelant issues and start informing themselves on what the candidates are proposing. - Mujokan, on 10/12/2008, -3/+20"Closely associating" himself like the University of Illinois, the Mayor, and half the politicians (Democrat and Republicans) and charity people in Chicago.
- emotecontrol, on 10/12/2008, -4/+20Hmm. Lot of wingnuts turning up today. This must be an organized raid.
Buried for: login required to view story. - Gutterpunk, on 10/12/2008, -0/+15He said that he didn't DO enough, not bomb enough.
Get your hate straight. - inactive, on 10/12/2008, -2/+17McCain/Palin supporters are good comedy relief....I crack up reading the crazy crap they come up with....for that I thank them.
- Mujokan, on 10/12/2008, -1/+15Anyone else notice (if you clicked the link) that the prosecution was screwed up by none other than Mark Felt, aka Deep Throat?
Crazy times back then, in the Nixon Years. One reason why Cheney and Rumsfeld are so *****, I guess. - Mujokan, on 10/12/2008, -4/+18Here's the quote from the debate:
"OBAMA: George, but this is an example of what I'm talking about. This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who's a professor of English in Chicago who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He's not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis.
And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense, George."
Lie much? - Leviathan433, on 10/12/2008, -1/+14Troll
- Charlesbian, on 10/12/2008, -0/+13I actually met Ayers for a project we were doing on the Vietnam war. We were interviewing him for the book he wrote on the Weathermen. Yes he did some radical things in the past but he was genuine in the way he talked of loving his country and wanting to sustain it. The way people paint him you'd think he was someone who is constantly calling for the death of America, but he is an extremely intelligent, kind, interesting man. The most you could fault him on was offering us beers (we were 19). Like Michelle, Obama should let Ayers into the public eye and let him speak for himself. The man is more than someone who should be written off.
- twich35, on 10/12/2008, -0/+13"Voter does need to vett the candidates ...that goes for both Republicans and democrats" I keep seeing this either in the form of "Im still undecided but...." or saying "we need bipartisanship" and IMMEDIATELY after all I can see is a list of links discrediting Obama, which have zero credibility. And apparently McCain does not need to be looked into. You even linked Huffington post, after I read countless posts "HuffPo spam" YOU now feel it is a credible sight. In all seriousness go ***** yoruself
- yerock, on 10/12/2008, -1/+13Let me get this logic straight... you're comparing Osama Bin Laden to Ayers?? How many people did Ayers kill again?
And what the hell does "pal around" mean anyway? Sit on the board of a charitable organization together?
It's amazing to watch you desperately grasp for straws on such a non-issue. - blix797, on 10/12/2008, -0/+12"the Voter does need to vett the candidates"
You mean like how the republicans did such a good job of vetting Palin? - 16x9, on 10/12/2008, -0/+11Yes! And anyone who hates a country must certainly want to become the president of that country -- at least enough to go through all the crap a candidate and his family must go through -- so, you know, so he can do mean things and stuff.
Piglet, you're a tool. - jbennett1128, on 10/12/2008, -0/+11That's not even a muslim outfit, Piglet. He was visiting Somalia and that is their traditional dress. We've seen Premier Bush dressed up repeatedly while visiting foreign officials.
And sorry, but even the Weathermen PROSECUTOR has said its ridiculous to try to link Ayers and Obama together. Obama 'hates' America? Are you kidding?
Piglet, you're a tool. - Gutterpunk, on 10/12/2008, -1/+12"Please tell me which Racist community leaders McCain has been friends with."
Oh I know! The GOP base!
And btw, Obama didn't KNOW Ayers at age 8. It's not because you read that the WU did it's crap when Obama was 8 than it means that Obama was trained to be a terrorist at age 8, not more than you are an astronaut because someone went to the moon when you were 60.
You idiot. - normlsparky, on 10/12/2008, -0/+11FTA:
"I do take issue with the statement in your news article that the Weathermen indictment was dismissed because of “prosecutorial misconduct.” It was dismissed because of illegal activities, including wiretaps, break-ins and mail interceptions, initiated by John N. Mitchell, attorney general at that time, and W. Mark Felt, an F.B.I. assistant director."
All of these are now considered standard operating procedure by law enforcement, not misconduct. Thanks George. - why3th, on 10/12/2008, -0/+10The Weather Underground never killed anyone.
- WMGoBuffs, on 10/12/2008, -1/+11Very interesting, the illegal wiretapping was done by none other than W. Mark Felt, who is also known as Deep Throat from the Watergate investigation.
- jackieblu, on 10/12/2008, -1/+11 McCain should have gone down for Keating 5. Mrs McCain got away with forging prescriptions, and stealing drugs from poor children, in the name of Charity. Palin &" first dude" are AIP members, they don't like the lower 48. By wing nut standards they are all UN-American!
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -1/+11All of your assertions are utterly untrue. Your usage of "terrorist" and "socialist and "racist" and "anti-Semetic" are completely out of context if you are referring to the reality most people exist in.
You need to study history and english (for a better understanding of words and their meanings and power) so that you can be a better informed voter.
Thanks! - jackieblu, on 10/12/2008, -2/+11McCain's friends w/ a convicted felon - which McCain should be too. Mrs McCain forged phony prescriptions, and stole drugs - all in the name of Charity. The Palin's belong to the AIP - considered by many a terrorist organization, who have stated they don't like America very much, at least not the lower 48. She has also been found guilty of abuse of power, and could be impeached. You wing nuts think Chicago politics may be shady - check out Alaska...Palin wanted to charge rape victims for rape kits (blame & punish the victim), in a state with the highest incidents of rape and incest.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -0/+9I wonder what the McSleaziacs will come up with now to try to discredit Senator Obama...?
Somewhat off-subject but still-revelant trivia:
The "P" word sure gets tossed around a lot these days. So does the "T" word.
What is a patriot? Scholar J. Peter Euben writes that for the Greek philosopher Socrates, "patriotism does not require one to agree with everything that his country does and would actually promote analytical questioning in a quest to make the country the best it possibly can be."
Terrorist: those who perform acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants.
Anyone out there old enough to remember the movie "Exodus" with Paul Newman (RIP), based on the novel by Leon Uris? There was a character in the movie and novel--
Barak Ben Canaan (peripheral character) Born Jossi Rabinsky. Father of Ari Ben-Canaan. After moving to the Land of Israel, he insists on only speaking Hebrew rather than Russian or Yiddish and actually refuses to speak to his wife until she addresses him in Hebrew. This aspect seems to be inspired by (possibly apocryphal) anecdotes about the real-life Eliezer Ben-Yehuda
What is the origin of the name Barack?
"Barack" is a word that is shared among several languages. First, it is a word in the(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semitic_languages) Semitic family of languages. As such it has a root in Hebrew (but written baruch), a version in Aramaic (berek), a version in Arabic (baraka). (See Strong's Hebrew Bible Dictionary, entries 1288-1294.) It also occurs as a loan word in non-Semitic languages that have been influenced by these Semitic languages. As often happens, cognate words are similar in pronunciation. What appears in a later-appearing language may sound like something else in the earlier language. And in English we sometimes see words that are pronounced the same and even spelled the same, but that have very different meanings.
Barack or Barak means 'lightning' in Hebrew. The name Barak is also mentioned in the Bible in the book of Judges. Barak was part of the story of the prophetess Deborah.
Baruch (or Baruwk, Baruk, Strong, 1263) and its cognates berek and baraka all mean the same. Strong, 1288, says "barak, baw-rak', a primitive root; to kneel; by implication to bless God (as an act of adoration), and (vice-versa) man (as a benefit)." (See http://www.virtualchristiancenter.com/biblestudyto ...
Regardless of how one spells the name, it gives two possible and not contradictory meanings. One is "a blessing from God," and another is "a blessing from God that the individual may pass on to others as a benefit to them." (The second meaning is very clear in the Sufi tradition in which the searcher for Allah, or as Jesus would have called Him Alaha, receives from his or her teacher a transmission of some key to seeing what Meister Eckhard called the "divine spark" within each of us. )
Any of you right-wing nutjobs reading this? Just be honest with yourselves--you don't like Senator Obama because he's black. - solidcube, on 10/12/2008, -4/+13Why is it-- and this is a serious question-- WHY IS IT that you people are so often completely unable to spell or write a coherent sentence?
"How can you so easily vilify a portion of the population?"
Oh, the reeking irony. - MrPillowPants, on 10/12/2008, -0/+9Get out of my country Psalms, your setting back the progress of the American people by 20 years.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -7/+15McCain/Palin are Liars!
They Do Not Put Country First....Just Themselves and their Self Intrest!
PALIN WAS FOUND GUILTY ON ETHICS CHARGES!
FALIN PALIN IS A FREAKIN LIAR AND SO IS JOHN McCAIN!
We Aren't the stupid ones...You are for palling around and supporting these two losing ANTI AMERICANS!
Mis AIP SUPPORTER is a CROOK AND LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dick Cheney in a dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buried!
Propaganda against our next POTUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! - cherwilco, on 10/12/2008, -0/+8Piglet, you're a tool.
- RodBorn, on 10/12/2008, -0/+8I'll tell you now what he will say....
BLABLA BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BALH BLAH and BLAH - jackieblu, on 10/12/2008, -0/+8McCain's buddy is a convicted felon, and McCain s/b too!
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -0/+8I really think we're going to get a rude awakening in November as to how many people really were just looking for an excuse to not vote for a black/Muslim guy. It's certainly in the double digits of the electorate. My best friend, a lesbian who is generally all for Democrats, just has this gut feeling that Obama's hiding something and we can't trust him. It's because of all the internet rumors, and no matter how thoroughly they're debunked... she's either not voting or not voting for Obama. And she's not the confederate flag waving, "I'm not a racist but I don't like black people living in my neighborhood" type. She's a rank and file democrat.
- blix797, on 10/12/2008, -0/+7Boooooooo! Get off the stage! Wait....
- DrWho520, on 10/12/2008, -0/+7They had overlapping terms (not concurrent) on a board of directors (and it was more than two people on the board) of a project to improve education. Damn Obama and his education improving exploits! Occams Razor says he was probably in the same situation as 90%+ of the US public when they first heard the name William Ayers. Who? The "weathermen?" I thought weatherunderground (wunderground.com) was a collaborative weather forecasting site!
- neonoodle, on 10/12/2008, -1/+8HotSauce: And you think McCain being a POW isn't the only reason he's a Presidential nominee?
- vision777, on 10/12/2008, -1/+8I can't believe you said that being black helps to be a Presidential Nominee, especially since there have been so many.
- solistus, on 10/12/2008, -1/+8I like how you stress the need to vet both candidates, then regurgitate a bunch of discredited Obama smear hand-me-downs from old McCain talking points and attack ads and precisely zero links critical of McCain or Palin. I won't even bother responding to your wall of *****. Anyone with the time and energy to click through your ***** for you (since you're apparently not bright enough to read your own sources, come up with a coherent and intelligent argument based on them and then present that argument) has likely had the time and energy to research all of this before and will know just how full of ***** you are.
Go choke on a pretzel like your Fuhrer almost did, neocon *****. - lowbot, on 10/12/2008, -0/+6The like being manipulated. Right-wings means accepting a lower position in life and doing what youre told by moral, religious, and political authorities. Questioning these authorities is, in their minds, treason.
- spectecjr, on 10/12/2008, -1/+7Hmmm.. let's see....
McCain was one of the Keating 5.$1.3Million buys this man's loyalty. Do you really want him in the whitehouse?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Five
Sarah Palin's husband was part of a separatist Alaskan group who wanted to split Alaska off from the US. The group's founder was killed in a plastic explosives deal which went bad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaskan_Independence_ ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Vogler
When Ayers was doing his thing, Obama was 8 years old. McCain was THERE IN THE ROOM for the Keating scandal. And Sarah's ***** a terrorist. -
