- Cyre, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hey, he signed up willingly and knew there was a chance that he'd be overseas in a war. YOU should be PROUD to have a son that is willing to make such a sacrifice so YOU and all of us can live in freedom!! If you're not, then you're a JACKASS!!
- Cyre, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You got it wrong, there. I did indeed spend this time of year in the desert during Desert Storm.
- kacihoward, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I am very proud of my son’s service. He has been deployed four times in six years. He like many soldiers is being stopped lost, serving beyond his commitment. I am not complaining about his country calling him to continue to serve. I am complaining about a president who seems unable to make a decision on what the military objective in Iraq is and what the way forward is. It is his duty as Commander in Chief to make that decision. If he does not have a way forward, if there is not a clear military objective, if he only he is only keeping our boys there to keep from dealing with the political fallout of bringing them home---then God sake bring them home before another soldier dies. It is the duty of our soldiers to serve, it is our duty as citizens to hold government responsible for the decision they make, and to make sure they do not send our soldiers into harms way without a clear military objective, without an achievable goal. I am willing to guess that your willingness to call me a jackass is an indication that you have never spent a holiday in a war zone, nor is your child in a war zone this Christmas.
