I happen to be one of these white men. I go out of my way to make my employees happy. This year I gave them $2,500 Christmas bonuses (was actually $3,000 but I ate the $500 in taxes on each bonus) as well as iPods and other goodies. I pay for their insurance 100% and give them a retirement plan. And yet I hear schmucks like you thinking that somehow, just because I'm successful, that I'm not giving my fair share. You can bite me.

If it's not the failed foreign policy leading us to an economic collapse via the weakening dollar, it's the shroud the Fed throws up in a proposed bailout of predatory lenders. Nevermind you we've got a major port still in relative ruin, millions remain diplaced and a government so ineffective they're holding hearings on what athletes are shooting into their arms... we've got a mega highway going from Mexico to Canada being built right up our asses all by a Government fed softball inquiries and scripted interviews. No tangible progress in education, no meaningful progress in our manufactured terror war of immediacy... It's enough to make you sick.
- inactive, on 02/21/2008, -0/+10This response is so sickeningly representative of the liberal propaganda which infuriates the "angry white men" (who are, in reality, not only white and not only men): (1) knee-jerk, without actually looking at the situation; (2) convinced that all domestic social / fiscal woes are entirely the fault of "the establishment" and the "victims" bear no responsibility for these problems or the solutions; (3) insults, demonizing, ad hom nastiness, pure hatred is the proper response to any opinion which does not categorically embrace the the liberal dogma.

There are a lot of men who feel the pressure put on them to feed the parasite, and pick up the tab for the fat and lazy. It is well written, and addresses the frustration of those seeking to produce and live the American dream without sucking off those with the initiative to do so.

Of course back in '72 this voting block swept the nation leaving Nixon with a booming victory. Today the silent majority, or Angy White Men, movement is on life support. It only exists in small population pockets such as rocky mountain towns like Aspen Colorado. I'm pleasantly surprised to see it on Digg.

PWMS, poor white man syndrome, is as ridiculous as the "Help, I'm being repressed!" Christians crying because they have to keep their superstition out of our public schools. Talk about people crying "victim!" Cowboy up, pussies. The days of white men getting to decide who sits where in the bus are gone, they aren't coming back and good riddance. As a white man, I think that's a good thing.
