- moveamericafrwd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6The best part of this is to see a column called "A Good Week for the U.S.A." and to see how UPSET that makes some people. Amazing! It reminds me of the people in the Columbia lecture hall who were cheering on Ahmadinejad. It helps explain where the anti-military/anti-war movement comes from and how people could deliberately undermine the missions of U.S. troops at a time of war. People's allegiances and priorities are obviously very messed up in a time of crisis as exists in this post 9/11 world.
- MichaelE777, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6I don't know why you all feel this way but, keep it up. America will one day be just what you trying to make it. Then you'll really start crying... just before they send you off to a 're-education' camp.
- Takalth, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5Probably the first time I've gone to the Digg site of a WND article and found more people bashing it in the first few posts than supporting it. The reason is easy to see.
Melanie Morgan, like many others of the WND staff, speak in favor of lower taxes, limited government, and constitutional principles...unless they come from Ron Paul. Look at Joseph Farah, the top man at WND. He opposes Bush, opposes the "top tier" candidates, and wants to dramatically reduce the size of the federal government. The only place where he really disagrees with Ron Paul is the Iraq war, though admittedly he can debate his postion 1000 times better than any of the other war's supporters (though I still disagree).
It's sad. WND is big enough that they could draw a ton of support for Ron Paul if they would just see that he's the only guy who will give them what they've been preaching about since the beginning. - moveamericafrwd, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Actually, Melanie has been a big proponent for Fred Thompson to enter the presidential race, and she's also spoken highly of Congressman Duncan Hunter.
- moveamericafrwd, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Melanie Morgan obviously hit a nerve with this column. Right on Melanie!!
- paulvelte, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2First they ignored him, but now they cannot do that anymore, so the attack machine has started up. I have been waiting for the attacks to start. But if the worst you can find to smear Paul with is the mud from others, then that's pretty weak. I'm sure some neo-nazis and Klansmen voted for Bush... does that mean Bush endorsed their views???
- moveamericafrwd, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Here's the problem Takaith: Ron Paul speaks to the important issues of freedom and sovereignty, and then throws it all out the window by saying he doesn't believe protecting American freedom from Islamic jihadism is essential. What point does he have in quibbling with the Patriot Act if he won't defend this nation from foreign enemies? Are we to be reduced to supporting a man who is good on taxes and small government, but who then shamelessly toys with 9/11 conspiracy advocates for political gain? Has Ron Paul not become just like all those politicians that for so many years he derided for seeking political gain at the expense of principle and decency? In my book he has, and that is the reason that a man who otherwise could have been a strong and serious contender will never be able to rise above being the candidate of the fringe.
- francisbaken, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1She is way off base on her comments about one of Paul's ex-staffers running against Paul. The guy to watch against Ron Paul is Chris Peden of Friendswood.
- mickrussom, on 10/10/2007, -9/+10Who in the hell is this idiot? At this point, the terrorists have more money than the USA, we are negative 9 TRILLION in debt.
Hey, Melanie - you think taking care of your kids and grandkids is having them in perpetual war AND owned by the Chinese? What a complete lunatic idiot. The time has come to fix the USA and forget about spreading democracy at the other end of gun barrel. - Petronski, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Paulbearers are so cute when they're angry!
Like my miniature poodle when he's hungry: all yelping and jumping around! - cackel, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1It just boggles my mind that people who say they are Christian, think nothing of attacking defenseless countries, killing hundreds of thousands, and will attack a Christian who actually knows that Jesus was the Prince of peace. Scotty beam me up.
- DesScorp, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Ahhh, the Paulistinians sound off. Whatsamatter, whackjobs? Did your black helicopters break down, or the did the Evil Zionist Jews piss in your wheaties this morning?
Can't way for the end of primary season, when all of the votes are tallied, and Your Lord Ron Paul gets.....%1. - MadSquirrel, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3The point was not how bad it is, but that for one week it's better. In the last few years we have had far too few good weeks, and looking ahead we will have far too few more. In fact, as you pointed out, we may never have any more good weeks, or the ones we do will be based on a 10th century standard.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+3Screw you Melanie - I guess you would support maybe Rudy - which is a known cross dresser! I am tired of people calling supporters of Ron Paul bid for President nut jobs or conspiracy theorists. Instead of checking a candidate out completely she has joined up with the noecons and has been brainwashed by the government controlled media that lies, lies and tells more lies! She is no more than a gloablist herself. When the NWO rings in - I want to be the first one in her face to say - I told you so! Then all she will do is cry and blame everyone else!
- lazerus9, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2Joe Farah gives lip service to supporting the Constitution and this Republic. I read WND because, I trust Dr. Corsi and the work that he has done exposing the NWO. Farah is one of the biggest supporters of the NeoCon Zionist Juggernaut, that is the NWO. Regarding Ms. Morgan, a pretty face is no replacement for the truth, do your own research and make informed decisions. Time is running out!
- cackel, on 10/10/2007, -8/+4Jealousy is all it is. Ron was right about the war when most where dead wrong, they can not handle it. Many people who do not trust the government, most for good reasons and few for not so good. The jealous ones will only focus on the few not so goods
- coldfact, on 10/10/2007, -11/+7WorldNetDaily editor Farah is anti-Paul and a neocon, so this hit-piece is no surprise. Who cares *how* they taunted that lisping fascist? If he is such a wimp that he felt threatened by a boisterous crowd making fun of him, forget about him dealing with "terrrrr"
WND loves the war so much they back Dondero solely because Paul dared to question US foreign policy. Pathetic. - davrobi, on 10/10/2007, -12/+2She is got to be leading for Dumb Blond of the year award.
