- SheilaNoya, on 01/30/2008, -22/+296There are lots of House and Senate seats up for grabs in November. Don't forget to vote against all of the idiots who rubber stamped Bush's arrogant and incompetent policies that led us into this mess. We need to get rid of more than just Bush if we expect to turn things around.
- mrgreenjeans, on 01/30/2008, -21/+225Watching the State of the Union address, I thought, "What a colossal dick suck this is!"
Any damn thing he said was followed by a minute's standing ovation. He could anything:
"And I want the American people to know... I'm wearing a pink thong right now."
HOOOOORAAAAAAY! - flavioribeiro, on 01/30/2008, -12/+146As a foreigner, I've never liked the way everyone claps after every sentence. This is the kind of behavior expected from fascist regimes. I thought it didn't fit the image of the United States, but now with habeas corpus being revoked, the Patriot Act, presidential directive 51 and other things, fascism doesn't look too far away.
I hope you guys can revert things because if you fall, the rest of the world will likely follow. - p0ss, on 01/30/2008, -5/+75%32 still approve of him, that speaks volumes.
- brycelb, on 01/30/2008, -0/+64Was this your first state of the union? This is the way it always is. It's a public pissing contest and it will never change.
- MasterMynd, on 01/30/2008, -7/+69Whoever drew this could have drawn it well before the State of the Union Address and still have been completely right.
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -58/+103JUST THE RESULT OF A BORDERLINE RETARD PUPPET IDIOT PRESIDENT
...who recites Nazi propaganda from scripted speeches of empty promises and platitudes written by UNBRIDLED, CORPORATE WHORE, LOBBYISTS through the use of FAKE CABLE NEWS NETWORKS to a bunch of FOXIFIED, ZOMBIE, NUTJOB, IDIOT, BRAINWASHED, INBRED, REDNECK RETARDS!
This administration is the WORST and makes Nixon look like a *****' communist. Look at the idiocy of these speeches that are obviously prepped for our president (because, Lord knows, he couldn't string a coherent thought together in public to save his own ass) and strewn with the psychological buzzwords, "freedom," "democracy," and other abstractions that are molded to serve autocratic/plutocratic ends.
Wilkommen to Amerika fools!.... - tabularassa, on 01/30/2008, -10/+49Truly the worst president in US history
- Remccs, on 01/30/2008, -6/+41horray for the u. s. of a.
we're doing great guys - plutomango, on 01/30/2008, -12/+43Tell me his trial for treason against the US will be aired daily a la O.J. Simpson.
- stephenjames716, on 01/30/2008, -5/+30thank god this moron is almost done
- dood, on 01/30/2008, -0/+23"As a foreigner, I've never liked the way everyone claps after every sentence."
As an American, I've never liked it, either. It's childish, but I'm sure if someone didn't clap at all, they'd be branded anti-American, so they all do it.
I read the State of the Union the day after, specifically because of the applause breaks. - AshamedAmerican, on 01/30/2008, -2/+23When did it get above 30%? Seriously, wasn't it in the mid to low 20s a couple months ago?
- FadieZ, on 01/30/2008, -2/+22Wow, that was in my newspaper this morning. I'm honored.
- Mageling, on 01/30/2008, -1/+20Why is the president still pushing no child left behind? Why does he not realize that a large amount of government grants just raise the tuition price for college for anyone without said grant? Tuition costs have gone up so much in the past 2 years, it's crazy. Before, I thought the war was his biggest screw up but no... He's contributing to the ***** up that is our education system.
- TheVirus, on 01/30/2008, -1/+18Welcome to digg.
- itsradBrad, on 01/30/2008, -2/+19I cheered too! Only, I thought we were cheering because it was the last one. Hmm..... I'm confused O.o
- ostracize, on 01/30/2008, -0/+17Abortions for some...miniature American flags for everyone!
- GoKings, on 01/30/2008, -0/+17Clinton's win in Florida doesn't even count...
- Sharky35, on 01/30/2008, -3/+19They do it in England too.
- Bhima, on 01/30/2008, -0/+16The price of Gas & Cheeseburgers went down a little
- igotafeeling, on 01/30/2008, -3/+18I'm not sorry I missed that. I hadn't watched a single one of his State of the Unions, but gave it a shot last time around, and I sat in front of my TV waiting, and waiting, and waiting, until something meaningful came out of that a**holes mouth. It's like watching grass grow. That *****-for-brains, lousy excuse for a president is the worse leader. The end of his term cannot come fast enough.
- ussoldier, on 01/30/2008, -9/+24Vote every incumbent out... i mean literally, clear them all out...
If you're on digg, run for office. If you're too lazy to run, vote for someone who reads and posts comments to digg. Because Digg is unanimously anti neo con. - NCSUspoon, on 01/30/2008, -8/+23I hesitate to even mention this, but don't elect lame duck democrats either. Elect someone who will represent what you want in the country. We would have though that by controlling Congress, we could have stopped this, but who would have though that we elected a bunch of sheep for Bush Co.
- glacius99, on 01/30/2008, -0/+14Seriously, it must have been your first state of the union.. Which in a way is good, that means more and more Americans are concerning themselves with politics.. Welcome to the party.. err disaster..
- BillGod, on 01/30/2008, -1/+15Wow is today adjective day? Leave some for the rest of us.
- goldfenix, on 01/30/2008, -0/+14I was just link browsing your mirror there and got this
http://www.linkinn.com/_Kitties_Love_Music_Pics
P.S. Mirror works (at least as of now) - Kumah, on 01/30/2008, -2/+15Because if they don't cheer, they're terrorists.
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -3/+15The president has alot of speech writers working for him. Every president has, even J.F.K.
- ryan850, on 01/30/2008, -0/+11 My entire family likes bush, at thanksgiving my dad said he's vote for him again if he could. I never wanted to ruin Thanksgiving so much in my life. After waking up later in a plate of mashed potatoes I almost left dinner, moved to canada, and changed my name. They are out there and they aren't necessarily idiots but they are certainly largely christian and do not question anyone who prays and hates gays. btw later i found out they are actually voting for Ron Paul. There may be hope.
- Waiting2awake, on 01/30/2008, -2/+12sonnybobiche, maybe you just don't understand it, or maybe - it is the establishment that is the problem - and it is time for a new establishment. One based(until it too is corrupted) on human values and needs in the 21 century.
At least in my opinion.
That said - how electing people that "want" the job. How to do that? Make their pay in-line with that of the average American. Adjusted yearly. If they are unwilling to help the government, the country, at a pay-level equal to the average person they wish to lead - then isn't the country better off without those people in positions of power? - inactive, on 01/30/2008, -4/+14"Their missing a couple of problems"? That doesn't even make grammatical sense.
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -3/+12"Way to go, Obama."
Yes, blame the candidate, not the ***** voters. WTF?
AND WHY IS DIGG INSERTING EXTRA LINES? - Farwando, on 01/30/2008, -2/+11How Bush can blatantly lie to the people of the United States and still keep his composure is beyond me.
- Farwando, on 01/30/2008, -2/+11Bush has had 7 years to ruin America and but i will be 'tazzered' if I complain about it for 5 minutes.
- insurgente, on 01/30/2008, -2/+11And thank your god another moron is on the way.
No matter who wins the presidential election, the wealthy keep running things in their interest, while the people suffer. - jeremyduffy, on 01/30/2008, -2/+11Absolutely. No matter how bad Bush has been, it's Congress that allows it by not challenging him.
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+8Caricature: a picture, description, or imitation of a person or thing in which certain striking characteristics are exaggerated in order to create a comic or grotesque effect.
An artist might come up with a caricature, which is a drawing or written piece that exaggerates its subject's distinguishing features or peculiarities (: the cartoonist's caricature of the presidential candidate). - obliviousfool, on 01/30/2008, -1/+9We hope. If she tries to have those delegates seated, I think I'll be heading to Denver to join the protest myself.
- bjornski, on 01/30/2008, -5/+13So is our administration.
- blast_flame, on 01/30/2008, -0/+8To make sure everyone knows who is being represented by the image.
- MacEnvy, on 01/30/2008, -2/+9I agree with your sentiment, but I don't think you know what "lame duck" means if you're applying it to current Democratic congressional candidates.
- billyjack1958, on 01/30/2008, -1/+8I dugg you down because to say that Ron Paul will turn us isolationist is false.
- insurgente, on 01/30/2008, -0/+7Liberal democracy is a farce. The will of the people is ignored, while the interests of the wealthiest are served.
- bjornski, on 01/30/2008, -0/+7Because it's a profiling tool for military recruiters at this point.
"Hey, kid. Your school closed. Want an education? Health care? Sign here...." - BlacklabelSAR, on 01/30/2008, -1/+8"***** gobblers"? Hilarious. You just love authority don't you? I would suggest that you also read a few books. Also, text is text, and the winners write history. Napoleon is quoted as have said "history is just a fable agreed upon". Which book tells us that Lincoln usurped the rights of the states and broke the Constitution? Not the books in public school. So how great are those books? People are realizing that they cannot trust information just because it is in print or text.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 01/30/2008, -1/+8Herd behavior, just like in high school. Weak people look to belong to the strongest group in order to survive, regardless of personal views.
- bjornski, on 01/30/2008, -0/+7Sociopaths have no conscience to keep them up at night.
