- gjd99, on 01/04/2009, -19/+118This sums up the Bush presidency nicely. Bush is definitly the worst president, ever.
- inactive, on 01/04/2009, -5/+93"He's smaller than life."
- pocketveto, on 01/04/2009, -6/+72Pity him?
Actually, no. I don't. - algaeturd, on 01/05/2009, -2/+40Pity? No. Disgust. Hatred. Among other things. I do NOT pity this man in the least though he did a pitiful job.
"The one indisputable talent of his White House was its ability to create and sell propaganda both to the public and the press."
I wouldn't even give him that. He sold a bunch of ***** to a bunch of uneducated ***** heads and lied at every single turn he made. Those who bought it did so because they wanted to believe him...not because the logic was there to support doing so. The other people were naive thinking that since this man was president that he would be honest and honorable.
He was neither, unfortunately.
It's an utter shame that he was our president once. It's despicable that he served two terms. It's downright INSANITY that he lied literally thousands of times during his two terms and nobody had the balls to step up and impeach the worst president this country has ever seen.
Complete insanity. Embarrassing even. - inactive, on 01/05/2009, -5/+35fta
Bush kept America safe (provided his presidency began Sept. 12, 2001). He gave America record economic growth (provided his presidency ended December 2007). He vanquished all the leading Qaeda terrorists (if you don’t count the leaders bin Laden and al-Zawahri). He gave Afghanistan a thriving “market economy” (if you count its skyrocketing opium trade) and a “democratically elected president” (presiding over one of the world’s most corrupt governments). He supported elections in Pakistan (after propping up Pervez Musharraf past the point of no return). He “led the world in providing food aid and natural disaster relief” (if you leave out Brownie and Katrina). - redcolumbine, on 01/05/2009, -4/+32FTA: "The man who emerges is a narcissist with no self-awareness whatsoever. It’s that arrogance that allowed him to tune out even the most calamitous of realities, freeing him to compound them without missing a step. The president who famously couldn’t name a single mistake of his presidency at a press conference in 2004 still can’t."
- luket13, on 01/05/2009, -4/+32I pity the fools who didn't vote for him, they were the ones who knew better and still got stuck with him.

The USA is no longer a leader in this world, it is a country scorned and ridiculed internationaly.
This has happened under the leadership of G.W.Bush worst president ever.
I hope Obama can save you. - inactive, on 01/05/2009, -2/+19LOOK AT ALFRED E. NEWMAN's RECORD

MICKEY MOUSE COULD RUN THE COUNTRY BETTER - ashthecarcrash, on 01/05/2009, -3/+17Letterman's 'Great Moments In Presidential History' won't be the same without the utterly idiotic and incomprehensible words that come out of Bush's mouth. Amazing.
- MeatMountain, on 01/05/2009, -0/+14I hope the shoe throwing thing catches on so he can't go out in public.
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -0/+14Bush is a border-line retard corporate whore puppet. For pete's sake look at the record! Never forget who supported this failure, don't let them distance themselves from him. Whining about Libs and Dems and Clinton and Obama's pastors and gay sex, while offering nothing of substance - and most notably - no defense for the lying little sack of ***** from Texas they shackled us with!
America's enemy is the idiot who IGNORED that Bush lied to us about Iraq, IGNORED that Bush defends treason, IGNORED that Bush was asleep at the wheel on 9/11, IGNORED that Bush had already blundered our war effort in Iraq, IGNORED that Bush still tries to link Iraq and 911, IGNORED that Bush was going to run amok with our Constitution, IGNORED his continued policy that fuels extremist groups and floods intelligence agencies with "false positives" from illegal wiretapping operations—among other things and still voted to re-elect this miserable failure.
The enemy from within has perpetuated this death and devastation. Don't forget it. - inactive, on 01/05/2009, -3/+17All I can say is January 20th cannot come soon enough. Bye *****!
- Acewrap, on 01/05/2009, -0/+12You're a ***** kook. Go back and hide in your compound in Idaho.

- bg2500, on 01/05/2009, -2/+12I know many people that are self described republicans. And, even though I do not agree with them politically and philosophically on many things, most of them are actually very smart people. We agree to disagree.
It was pretty amazing though after Obama won, almost all of them expressed optimism about the job he will do as president. That made me feel good to know that people who might not typically agree with his politics respect him and have confidence in his ability to do the job well. - ASSASSYN360, on 01/05/2009, -6/+16I pity the people who voted for the nut twice! They have the hidden shame. But then again I am sure some voted for Obama and redeemed themselves.
- Rotzooi, on 01/05/2009, -0/+9...that's what she said!
- palewook, on 01/05/2009, -1/+10we'll always have the deficit to remember bush by...
- draculthemad, on 01/05/2009, -2/+10Go throught the presidential oath of office. It is like he thought he had some mental condition that caused him to reverse it internally.
He has failed miserably at every single point in it.
He evidently fumbled around until September of 01, and from there on out it has continued to be an endless compounding comedy of errors, except its not funny at all.
I will leave only this: He has failed in a sacred, duty that he swore with both the nation and whatever god he holds dear to called as witness. Can there be any greater failure as a man, as a human being? - jeremyduffy, on 01/05/2009, -0/+8Buried as inaccurate. I never pitied George Bush.

- algaeturd, on 01/05/2009, -2/+10Um, the guy that destroyed the United States from the inside out.
That didn't even work as sarcasm. It didn't work at all. - Billions, on 01/05/2009, -2/+10?
Terror attacks were on his watch, and he stopped making Bin Laden a priority target... I can't agree with you. - TigerStar337, on 01/05/2009, -2/+9Why do the Republicans hate America and the middle class people? Good thing we had fiscal people running the government or the debt would now be 15 trillion dollars...haha! Patriotism is the enemy of freedom.
- DangerCollie, on 01/05/2009, -4/+11I'm honestly not certain he was duly elected either time. I think he lost in 2000 and cheated in 2004. So why does someone who cheated their way into office get to continue their legacy with court appointments?
- inverselogic, on 01/05/2009, -0/+7You do know that there are republicans who aren't neocons right?
- Rotzooi, on 01/05/2009, -2/+8...twice.
- DaDrake, on 01/05/2009, -1/+7I can understand eventually ending secret service protection for your entire extended family... but really, we are talking about the President. Yes, 200k is a lot but it isn't to the Federal Government. It especially isn't anything to worry about when you are unlikely to have more Presidents living then can be counted on one hand.
- superterrorizer, on 01/05/2009, -1/+7Dude, that makes the show for me. I actually tune in just for that. Sad to see it go, not so sad to see him go.
- alexacastro, on 01/05/2009, -5/+11Good god I wish I could forget him and I wish he was gone
- TigerStar337, on 01/05/2009, -1/+7Bush has set the bar very low. It can't get any worse. BTW: Why do the Republicans hate America? They have been in power the last 30 of the past 40 years. What has happened? The deficit is now at $10 trillion dollars (Republicans pride themselves as being fiscal), all individual freedoms have been taken away (patriotism is the enemy of freedom), only the rich can now afford a University education, and there is no middle class because their jobs have moved out of the USA. Why do the Republicans hate America and the middle class people?

and phonetic according to who? different accents and dialects would produce different words. - DooM, on 01/05/2009, -1/+7I don't have to go much farther than the first two sentences to explain it, Gawt:
"The Bush administration made a serious push around 2006. It's a shame that most of the critiques of the Administration, especially those highlighted in this op-ed, come from before that time but make it seem like he is still making those kinds of mistakes"
Let me translate this: 'oy, sure he ***** up the first 6 of his 8 years, but the last two weren't so bad!
Is EVERYthing Bush's fault..? No. But the list of ***** that is is so long that defending his last quarter performance is asinine - and you defense seems not to be that he did a great job in '07-'08 but that he merely wasn't making "those kinds of mistakes" then. You don't get extra credit for NOT ***** up colossally - you're not SUPPOSED to ***** up colossally. You only get extra credit for doing something EXTRA - something not just ok but something GREAT. - turkeyssr, on 01/05/2009, -3/+9NOT read Frank Rick.
- asgardshill, on 01/05/2009, -8/+14And the best part? He loses his Secret Service protection in 10 years.

Hello, The Hague! - DangerCollie, on 01/05/2009, -1/+6It was six years after the first trade center attack before they tried again. They waited for the arrogant and incompetent to take office. Guess that means Clinton did a good job protecting the country, doesn't it?
And he did it without spying on Americans, without the Patriot Act, without NSL's, without Homeland Security. - bg2500, on 01/05/2009, -0/+5I agree, changing presidents alone is not going to solve our problems. It will at very least start to steer things in the right direction though. Well, we can hope anyway. There are so many complex factors that determine the direction our nation and the world take. I think we do a greater service to our selves if we can objectively look at the big picture rather than focus our frustrations on one factor. It is an important factor, but it is given far too much weight by too many people.
Thank you for a thoughtful reflection on the subject instead of the typical knee jerk hate Bush comment. - crunchdigg, on 01/05/2009, -1/+6yeah, but other than that, he did pretty well, right?
- LlarrytheLlama, on 01/05/2009, -8/+13If you truly believe that, then you don't know anything about history. I'm not saying that he doesn't rank high on the list though ......
