80 year old Holocaust survivor and a Palestinian reporter?
americangoy.blogspot.com — What do 80 year old Holocaust survivor and a Palestinian reporter have in common? Israeli Torture is the answer. Two stories, one very recent, one from 2004, showcasing the absolute lack of human decency, respect and dignity shown by Israeli officials. At the very least, please watch the embedded video of the 80 year old Ms. Hedy Epstein.

- americangoy, on 06/29/2008, -4/+13I was writing this as Spain was (is) playing Germany in the Euro 2008 final.
Spain 1 : 0 Germany.
Great match!- americangoy, on 06/29/2008, -2/+9Spain won, and finally the dark horse underachievers who always choked won it all.
This was a great Euro championship! - WarfareArtist, on 06/30/2008, -1/+2Maybe it's because I watched it in a restaurant and the volume was really low, but that game did not feel climatic at all...

- Fangsinmybeard, on 06/30/2008, -4/+11The Israeli's are very good student of American racism and Nazi fascism. The learned that oppressing people will always get you more sycophants than friends. I wonder when they'll get a knife in the back.
- IdanH14, on 07/01/2008, -1/+2In a way, just like in a war, people get hurt. Don't blame it all on the Israelis. Who started the Intifadas? Who was the first to draw blood in 1948? Who did not respect the UN's decision to divide Palestine back in 1947? The answer is the Arabs. In short, don't blame the Israelis for everything, the Palestinians share the guilt for this blood cycle.
- americangoy, on 07/01/2008, -1/+2"In a way, just like in a war, people get hurt. Don't blame it all on the Israelis."
Yup.
"Who started the Intifadas?"
Well, who took over land that was populated by Arabs, Jews and Christians and made it exclusively Jews-only land?
"Who was the first to draw blood in 1948?"
Both sides violated the peace.
Israel was much more successful and ruthless in moving hundreds of thousands of people and ethnically cleansing a country for Jews only.
"Who did not respect the UN's decision to divide Palestine back in 1947? "
Both sides.
"In short, don't blame the Israelis for everything, the Palestinians share the guilt for this blood cycle."
Agreed, but this is similar to blaming, say, the Poles for an uprising in Warsaw in 1944, as being guilty of bloodletting on the same par as the occupying Germans. - ssn697, on 07/01/2008, -2/+2"Well, who took over land that was populated by Arabs, Jews and Christians and made it exclusively Jews-only land?"
Jews only, huh? You wrote that, knowing you are lying, yet posted it anyway. That is just another example of how you just CANNOT be honest. You have to lie to try to make it seem as if your point is valid.
"The proportion of Christians in the Palestinian territories has dropped from 15 percent of the Arab population in 1950 to less than 1 percent today. Three-fourths of all Bethlehem Christians now live abroad, and the majority of the city’s population is Muslim. The Christian population declined 29 percent in the West Bank and 20 percent in the Gaza Strip from 1997 to 2002. By contrast, in the period 1995–2003, Israel’s Arab Christian population grew 14.1 percent"
So how does a population of Christians grow, if it is "Jew-only" as you incorrectly claim? - kemp34, on 07/01/2008, -2/+3He may have been talking about land ownership. Here are some facts:
"Of the total land in Israel in 1997, the Israel Government Press Office statistics say 79.5% is owned by the government, 14% is privately owned by the JNF, and the rest, around 6.5%, is evenly divided between private Arab and Jewish owners. Thus, the ILA administers 93.5% of the land in Israel."

I was not aware that such an amazing percentage of land in Israel was government owned. Can't say that earns them any points in my book. - JagPop, on 07/01/2008, -1/+1In short, you don't know your history else you would not have asked those questions.
- americangoy, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1Here is what I am talking about.
As always, if I am wrong, feel free to correct me without personal attacks and name calling. Thanks in advance.
Anyway, here's what happened.
In 1948, the Jews, the new Israelis, ethnically cleansed the land from Arabs and called their nation Israel.
There were VERY few non-Jews in Israel at that time.
The whole Arabs living in Israel phenomena really began to be a problem for Israel when Israel conquered more territory than it won in 1948, grabbing both the land and the people on them.
From Wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_territori ...
"Between the Armistice of 1949 and the Six-Day War of 1967, the West Bank was occupied and annexed by Jordan and the Gaza Strip was occupied by Egypt. The term "Palestinian" began to be applied exclusively to the Arab population of these areas only after Israel's victory in the 1967 War, and consequently the terms "Palestinian territories" and "Occupied Palestinian Territories" also gained wide usage."
That is correct - the Zionists of 1948 were smart enough and ruthless enough to ethnically cleanse a country and make it a Jews-only nation.
The later Israel won further wars, and took over extra territories which had a predominantly Arab population (mostly Sunni moslem, some Shia, few Christian).
Hope that clarifies matters.
Cheers!
