Breaks are pretty nice - now the holiday season is coming up and that sucks balls in retail. But with the other perks you can sit back, rock out to Sweet Child O Mine and burp grilled onions in their faces while telling them you don't have a game.

          As far as breaks go, we're all wasting time on Digg.

But, the Reserve and Subscription sales are annoying.. Yes, they are annoying to us too. We don't get pleasure out of pitching that to every customer.

          We don't get any new titles early. We get to check anything we want out of the store, play it, bring it back. That's about it.

          Our wages are ***** because our job is easy, I literally have played Guitar Hero 3 at work more than I have worked this week.

          • MaynardJK, on 11/07/2007, -5/+4I had two ps2s ***** the bed on me because of the crap dvd drive they had in them. I sure as hell wouldn't want to have to buy a fourth if this one died. My old hardware also only plays it at 480p, takes up an input, and takes up room in my cabinet.

            Granted, they aren't huge issues, but it is a pretty big inconvenience when it maybe saved Sony $15 by removing backwards compatibility.

Would've been nice for me to take advantage of the huge catalog and practically infinite supply of cheap, used PS2 games (especially since the PS3 catalog is so weak at the moment), but since the cheapest option includes none of that, and by the time the versions with BC get cheap enough, blu-ray players will be cheaper than the PS3, so Sony won't see any of my money go to the PS3 at all.

The lowest laptop is about $500, and it's nice, they offer ten free upgrades that really increases the power of the computer. Nearly 2 for one on your dollar.

        Most people who are buying a PS3 probably already have a PS2. And let's be honest, how often do you play PS2 games once you've got the PS3? The answer for me is never. I even picked up a couple PS2 games after buying my PS3 and they look like such ass stretched to 1080p that I just couldn't swallow playing those games. There are plenty of good games out there now on PS3 to keep you happy without messing with PS3 games which now feel completely outdated.

        If I didn't already have the 60gig I would definitely be picking up the 40gig version from Sony Style for $300 with 5 free BD's. That's a killer deal.

All the other games that I am currently playing are PS2 games (God of War, Hitman trilogy and Shadow of the Colossus, Devil May Cry, etc). I am very much happy that I bought a 60GB PS3 with (nearly) full backwards compatibility.
    • relaxiknwarchie, on 11/07/2007, -0/+8so it has 2 fewer usb ports, a smaller HD (which can be swapped at any time for a larger one), and doesn't support backwards compatibility. I'll keep my modded ps2 out and save myself the $100 thank you. Plus it uses less power. less heat. less noise.

        I'm thinking about selling my 360 and getting a PS3. The PS3 is just a much nicer console, I don't care about Halo, and basically all the other 360 exclusives come out on the PC as well, where I usually play my games.

Very impressive, having a game console still working after 2 years. They tell you to keep the HD and send the console itself. Even then you can do a gamertag recovery. I have a feeling you my friend are just riding the bandwagon. But whatever its your choice :)

However I do own a PS3 60GB, it worked for 4 months and then died on me. My replacement is on its way to me now. Sony was very professional and pretty fast I guess. The whole process has taken about 2 weeks.

The Wii Graphics are only slightly better than PS2 in my opinion, it has WIFI and motion sensing. Am I the only one that thinks Wii is overpriced? Sure it might be fun, but I just feel like Nintendo just released old hardware with a new controller. It's like MS and Sony never saw it comming, almost like a kick in the balls.

The never ending stories of the Wii still being sold out and how there is no end in site and how despite the usual commenters and their disdain for the games on it because they aren't "hardcore" enough the Wii still hands it to their competitors week after week. And contrast this with the numerous stories about what scheme or hype or package or price cut sony has to do just to get PS3 sales to a respectable level.

    Admit it fanboys, Sony failed you and have had to jump through hoops just to save face and I love every day you PS3 fanboys make up whatever excuses you need to make your overspending on a game console justified. And I especially have loved the common excuse since day one of wait for this game, or wait for that game, or wait, wait, wait, wait, blah, blah, blah, blah. Face the fact that up to this point the PS3 is a failure considering the promises made and the bragging that went on and will cater to the niche market that it has sold to so far and you better hope that the few exclusives that the system has left stay that way because it will almost certainly mean 3rd place if games like MGS4 and FFXIII see the 360 at any time.

I own a Wii which i have bought 12 games for so far enjoyed every minute of but reserve most of my gaming to the PC which is why i have NO use for a 360 or PS3. There is not ONE game on those consoles that interests me that i cant get on the pc anyways. And my Wii GOTY comes out next tuesday.

      I am disapointed in the titles for the Wii..... shoot me. Sorry if that ruffles your feathers but don't lump me in a category. I love my wii, I am getting galaxy when it comes out and I am eagerly anticipating more games but as of now I am not thrilled. My opinion differs from yours, Does that have to make me a fanboy? Sure, call me whatever you want but I own and "enjoy" all the systems so your name calling doesn't bother me at all.

" Tell that to sony, who was obviously banking on the fact that the hardcore market was much larger than they expected and that the PS3 would repeat the success of the PS2 which it obviously hasn't and Nintendo figured out that the key to the untapped market was getting rid of 10 buttons with ridiculous control schemes and trying to innovate in terms of control and not just HD graphics.

        And please stop with the casual gamer/hardcore argument. it's a stupid categorizing of some made up gamer genres. I love UTIII, metroid, crysis, bf2 as much as i love playing wario ware and mario party and albatross 18, so am I both? A casual gamer and a hardcore gamer are the same thing. It has nothing to do with the choice of games played and if anything has to do with quantity of time spent playing games. I would consider any grandma who plays 6 hours of online poker or wii sports just as hardcore as the prepubescent 14 year old who sits and plays halo 3 all day.

        I've had my 360 since launch. I am however tired of everyone claiming the PS2 was a rock solid device. I went through 3 of them with the "disc read error". I understand people moving from the xbox because those errors drove me from the PS2. I will say I had to replace the PS2 out of pocket, at least microsoft is eating the cost of the repairs.
