- Koush, on 08/20/2008, -12/+48I've never enjoyed the fighter game to the amazing extent that some people seem to find, it's just as Yahtzee said, they have the initial gameplay then they seem to throw in hundreds of other modes that you will more or less never play past the initial play through just to see what it's like.
I also hate how most of the games reward the mash buttons over and over for combo, so someone with inexperience can find a way to a win if they mash fast enough. I've never really seen the appeal fighting over and over and over and over again in the same square box with different colour outlines when pretty much the fights can be won by just playing cheaply. - KyleMistry, on 08/20/2008, -0/+30I also have a question; why wouldn't The Escapist allow Yahtzee to review Braid considering Johnathan Blow (the creator of Braid) bashed The Escapist and all that it stands for?

- fakeplasticsnow, on 08/20/2008, -16/+42I love Yahtzee, but this was one of his worst reviews. I normally agree with his views, but this one was just stupid. He hated the game already simply because it was a fighting game. He also says he only grabs, which may win a few fights but isn't fun at all. The gameplay has a lot of depth and many moves, but he neglected all of it.

The type of loser that would go as far as doing a drug they don't actually like or completely understand, simply because of the image associated with it from television and movies. And it's even more sad how many of you do/did it out of desperation for friends in high school.

It's going to be funny to see how many people stop doing it and talking about it once it becomes legal and is used mostly for those with chronic pain and illnesses like cancer. SC4 is pretty balanced, and if you know what your doing a button masher should be no problem (except when your online, cause its impossible to guard impact with lag).

- zomgwaffles, on 08/20/2008, -1/+19SC series definitely is mash friendly which is good for having guests over and whatnot but it also provides you with the tools to dismantle a button masher in seconds. I prefer the SC mechanics over any other fighting game at this point because of it's diversity and intuitiveness.
