- duggtodeath, on 11/26/2007, -10/+112Dated means old. I think you mean the release date has been announced.
- spyd3rweb, on 11/26/2007, -3/+33Why wait, get it for PC now. I'll be frag master before you even get the game.
- Topher06, on 11/26/2007, -2/+24Low framerates seem to be a developer's problem (i.e. EA's problem) rather then the hardware. But then I realized your trolling in a PS3 thread.
- krische, on 11/26/2007, -11/+30Until of course it RROD's your 360.
- bahamutxd, on 11/26/2007, -2/+19Truspector's Digg contributions: Find Sony related story, Troll, Repeat
- WhereAmI, on 11/26/2007, -1/+17Truespector is back! Team up with username9000 now, wageslaven seems to have gotten a life.
You mean the 360 version with full mouse and keyboard support? I didn't know that existed, but thats the only other way it can be even equaled to the PS3 version, - mywhitenoise, on 11/26/2007, -1/+15haha, you're such a ***** joke.
Go stick that plasma sword up your ass. - ferrariman60, on 11/26/2007, -2/+16What UT hasn't been good, aside from Ut2003? They fixed it with UT 2004 a year later. That game ruled.
- DapperDave, on 11/26/2007, -14/+27Cough*already out on PC*Cough
- inactive, on 11/26/2007, -9/+22From what I understand, it has KB+M support. I would be tempted to pick up a PS3 just to own some of these controller kids, but I'll just stick to the PC version. Much more competitive.
- Theisos, on 11/26/2007, -0/+13What the hell does that have to do with this article?
- jacksons98, on 11/26/2007, -11/+23Last I heard Epic hasn't even started your supposed "superior" X360 version. I think I'll stick with the PS3 version. You know the one that actually exists and has MOD support. Your other PS3 bashing is unfounded. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune as an example has no load times and is the best looking game on any console.
- WhereAmI, on 11/26/2007, -3/+15I didn't know this was about the PC. Its even in the PS3 category. Boy, was I wrong.
- ferrariman60, on 11/26/2007, -4/+16Or you could get the truly superior PC version and have legit good graphics. Just please, for the love of god, play this game with sticks.
- commiecat, on 11/26/2007, -0/+11I got the PC version at release and it's really damn fun (Warfare player here). I really can't wait to see how things pan out with the console releases -- PS3 before Christmas and the 360 slated for Q1 2008. I'm very much opposed to shooters on console but they've been showing off the PS3 version for a while and keep mentioning how well it plays on a controller. Epic has always communicated well with the community so I do take their statements as truth.
Mark Rein's official post regarding the NA release can be read here:

The good news is that PS3 owners will be able to download all the mods and custom content (AFAIK) designed for PC. - SkippyDoorknob, on 11/26/2007, -5/+15Dated is perfectly acceptable usage, in fact it's the first usage listed in the dictionary.
dated
2 entries found.
1 : provided with a date
2 : outmoded, old-fashioned
— dat·ed·ly adverb
— dat·ed·ness noun
Now let's hear someone use "datedly" in a sentence! - krische, on 11/26/2007, -1/+11Umm, rabid? Have you not seen the majority of the comments from 360 fanboys?
- Godmil, on 11/26/2007, -2/+10Last I saw it (about 3 months ago) it ran very smoothly on the PS3. Epic seem to have optimised the hell out of the Unreal Engine 3 for PS3... at last ;)
Oh and you can use mouse and keyboards too.
(though I'm sticking to the pc version ;) - gamemaster357, on 11/26/2007, -1/+8high amount of comments

must be a positive Sony article
//cant wait for this game to come out - DarQraven, on 11/26/2007, -1/+7Actually, I own the full game, and I can testify that it's good. As was to be expected.
Both from a noob-running-around-spamming-flak and from an über-1337-pro-competitive point of view. - xboxing, on 11/26/2007, -1/+7This is going to be the game that will finally pull me away from Warhawk, hehe. Can't wait.
- flammenwurfer, on 11/26/2007, -4/+10That's great that it's already out on PC, but who cares. That's not what this article is about. My PC is not powerful enough to run it, and I have a PS3 so this is good news.
I also enjoy gaming with a controller more than a keyboard and mouse. - bbp9857, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5I think the vehicles might be slightly too powerful. This will potentially put PS3 and PC players on more equal footing in the revised Onslaught mode (warfare) since the vehicles are easily controllable with a gamepad. Does anyone know if PC players and PS3 players will be able to play on the same server?
- bmorlok, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5You are retarded
- billybob217, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5I think you are putting too much thought into what is no more than a grammar/vocabulary mistake...
- thrallie, on 11/26/2007, -2/+7agreed, and all you need minimum is an X700. Its not that much of a requiring game at lower settings. my X850 XT PE runs it fine on medium / intense post processing.
- DarQraven, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5Eh, no they're not.
UT3 was not released under the Games for Windows label, does not feature the Windows Live implementation, and as such will NOT be able to play over Xbox live (assuming XBL could actually handle 12pl servers without terrible lag).
If there is going to be cross-platform UT3 gaming, it's going to be either PC vs. PS3 , or PC vs. both consoles. Most likely none. - JayD16, on 11/26/2007, -1/+6Exactly...At this point theres enough great looking games (not necessarily great playing games ala lair). The claim that the PS3 is somehow not a solid system is total BS. Things you can still complain about: price, good playing games (although not for long), online features (not to be confused with stability or speed), in game features, dev tools (only if you have a dev kit)
- funkytaco, on 11/26/2007, -1/+6Thank you, CliffyB, for the original 1999 UT.
- inactive, on 11/26/2007, -6/+11Who dated it? Was it Brad Pitt?
- EuphopiaB, on 11/26/2007, -1/+5I played the demo, and I can say that yes it is good. Basically it is UT04 with awesome GFX, new maps, and some new features, but the same great gameplay and feel.
- thegrimreaper3, on 11/26/2007, -6/+9Not true. The xbox360 version was up and running but they paused development to finish the PC version and the PS3 versions first as they wanted them out the door in time for the hollidays. Now that both are GOLD they will resume development on the 360. But the game is already running so hopefully it wont be too terribly long.
- cgruber, on 11/26/2007, -1/+4***** that dude has it all. Abs, Jennifer, Angela, Ed Norton and now my precious.
- triplehelix, on 11/26/2007, -1/+4i'd love a link if you have one. i've heard that repeated a few times now, but never any credible source.
- mywhitenoise, on 11/26/2007, -2/+5I have 9 discs, and 9 PSN games, what the ***** are YOU talking about? I'm saying there's no more games coming for another 3 months, Uncharted was the last good one to come out.
- ferrariman60, on 11/26/2007, -0/+3Well, I just bought UT3 a couple of days ago, and it's pretty sweet. Is it perfect? Nah, I wish we had the classics back Like Morpheus and Phobos. And FaceClassic. And I guess Assault mode would be sweet, but I'd still say it's worth the exceedingly long wait. And actually, I think that their efforts to make a campaign were well intentioned, but the ladder system from UT2k4 was cooler. Of course, the graphics are awesome, the Weapons are back in a big way, and the Stinger Minigun is entertaining to just watch shoot- all those moving parts! So cool.
- suprxtragrav, on 12/09/2008, -0/+3i thought this article was going to be about the release of Unreal Tournament IV or something
- somesthetic, on 11/26/2007, -3/+6I can play this with the rock band drums right?
- DarQraven, on 11/26/2007, -0/+3How is that?
- cybrguy, on 11/26/2007, -1/+4I played the crap out of UT and UT2K4, and I'm dissapointed with UT3. It feels "consolified". Many people accuse those who don't like UT3 to be people who "don't like change" But when UT2k4 came out we saw TONS of change, and we loved it. Since the PC- Demo release I have been to several regional LAN parties (30-500 man lans) and it seems UT3's reception is very mixed. Some love it, some hate it, many are indifferent like me, who see the changes as a mixed bag. Mixed enough to quell the exceitement I had for it before I actually played it for a week.
- reconflux, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3KB+M support is server based option. Expect a lot of servers setting controller ONLY.
- berwiki, on 11/30/2007, -0/+2wow, i believe you, but that is incredibly lame.
the input device should be invisible to the server. - JayD16, on 11/26/2007, -2/+4Isn't that your answer...
- krische, on 11/26/2007, -2/+4@triplehelix
Yeah, I heard it from my friend's dad's brother-in-law's wife's cousin who swears he knows someone who works at Epic. - suprxtragrav, on 12/09/2008, -0/+2i completely agree with u. i'm also dissapointed with the lack of maps in this one
- reconflux, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2>I also enjoy gaming with a controller more than a keyboard and mouse.
FAIL - Dracusis, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Truspector implying he has a PS3.... ROTFLOL!
- thegrimreaper3, on 11/26/2007, -1/+2Join thrugh a friend already playing via the friends list. Its a ***** temporary workaround but at least you can play. also try using the "open" consol command. Open [IP address] Colen [port number]
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 11/26/2007, -1/+2ZenFountain? TorrentBytes?
- osbjmg, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Thanks!
