- Shuk, on 10/26/2009, -0/+42I'll pay DLC for fully fleshed out content. This won't be like some other games where it was clear something was withheld from release. If you've played Uncharted 2, you can tell that this is the most complete game package ever. Epic and fully satisfying single player campaign with a robust multiplayer. Game of the ***** year!
- Puppytwo, on 10/25/2009, -2/+43As if that wasn't the plan all along. This game had so much damn hype ( and for good reason ) they obviously were going to make DLC. I just hope they didn't leave out things just for the sake of DLC
- Soragon, on 10/26/2009, -0/+35I want to quote the TRS guys: "Uncharted 2 was a better movie than the forth Indiana Jones".
'nough said. - Neolite, on 10/26/2009, -2/+35I really hope it's not just some new Multiplayer Map pack. A nice 4-5 hour DLC single player would be nice. Would definitely pay money for that.
- Checkerd, on 10/26/2009, -3/+34Sadly no, it won't be coming to the PC.
/twocanplaythisgamejackass - shagg187, on 10/26/2009, -0/+28Uncharted 2 deserves all the love it's getting. Loved the game all around! Easily the best cinematics and voice-acting!
- frostydf2, on 10/25/2009, -1/+22All EA games.
- Puppytwo, on 10/26/2009, -0/+19cod4 story sucked though, uncharted 2 is fun as hell
- Megadeth222, on 10/26/2009, -1/+17Between Uncharted 2 and Demon's souls, the ps3 has become my best friend. I wish i didn't lose all my other friends though :( these games are just too addicting.
- SuicideMouse, on 10/26/2009, -2/+16I wouldn't bet on any additional single player content.
Knowing the DLC for most of the PS3 games available, and what Uncharted 2s multiplayer is like, I think we can expect a map pack, new playable characters, maybe even a few new coop campaigns and possibly some new store items like taunts/boosters.
Since some will be free and some for purchase I think I could reasonably argue that it's likely that anything like any possible taunts/boosters or characters are in the "most likely free" category but you'll still need to pay for them with in-game cash. The map pack will likely cost us but the price for most DLC never really seems to harsh to me. - ChiffX, on 10/25/2009, -2/+16"I just hope they didn't leave out things just for the sake of DLC"
*glares at EA for what they did with Sims 3* - Puppytwo, on 10/26/2009, -0/+10Just popping in to say wet was GARBAGE
- ChiffX, on 10/25/2009, -2/+12yeah who am I kidding. you guys are right
- Stemnin, on 10/25/2009, -1/+10All Sims games.
- bigbadgoat, on 10/26/2009, -0/+7Downloadable Content.
Between this and the leafs logo, you're making us Newfoundlanders look bad. - pronouncable, on 10/26/2009, -0/+7How was the play style for the last boss fight jarring? Every single one of the last few chapters were training on using the resin against enemies
- Mindsink, on 10/26/2009, -0/+7I agree that the game is forceful in directing you through a sequential path. However the bugs are rare and the rendering is good enough that you may define it as nit picking to be pointing it out. I have only ran into the grenade issue once. I believe that was on the beta. Sometimes the arrangement of teams is funny, and they would do very well to upgrade to a more manipulative multilayer GUI system. Heck I enjoy playing this title, just super fun.
- bigbadgoat, on 10/26/2009, -0/+5Yeah. just as soon as Sony sells the rights to other console makers.
- bjs3171, on 10/26/2009, -0/+5The campaign most certainly did not seem shorter to me, just the opposite. It FELT a good 3rd longer, and I've read that it's a good 2-3 hours longer. I don't recall any bugs during the campaign, and I've only experienced bugs one or two times in multiplayer, and i"m pretty sure it was due to lag. no big deal.
I definitely do agree they need to fix Matchmaking, as I've often had lopsided teams, but I've also had many great matches, even in some of the aforementioned matches. Seems like something they can fix.
Overall, it's by far my favorite multiplayer game, with sweet maps, tight controls, and smart leveling. I expect to be playing this for a long time. - cthellis, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4Well, the original Uncharted was ALSO better than Indy IV...
Because Indy IV blew. - Archaic1, on 10/26/2009, -2/+6Well you get what you paid for. The developers have little reason to create brilliant content if there's no incentive behind it.
- bjs3171, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4I'd love a multiplayer map of the moving train scene, and a few more maps in general, as well as different Death Match options, like NO GRENADES, for one, and higher Kill Goals, than 50. Being able to choose time limits, and NO Kill Goal would be nice too.
obviously a single player campaign would be great, and i'd pay for it, but I'm not holding my breath. - cthellis, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4The platforming in Uncharted was never really supposed to be "difficult," just... imaginative, impressive, and exploratory. Considering they're almost always tied to the puzzle-solving elements as well, it doesn't make much sense to force you to figure out which way to go AND force you to make some crazy-timing jumps and force you to keep replaying things over and over to get it right. Breaks up the flow and the impressiveness of the large puzzle areas.
I could've done with a few more moments of "climbing while fighting," though. The "trapped on a sign" encounter was great! And there were a few other places where I could use hanging and verticality to my advantage, but there could have been a few more and different kinds of set pieces/encounters. - MrFisty, on 10/27/2009, -0/+4Resident Evil 5, anyone?
"Oh, it's two weeks later, thought you guys would be interested in this brand new multiplayer content. Oh, did we mention it costs extra?" - bjs3171, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4the voice-acting is really really great. completely believable dialogue, and you can tell the actors are actually interacting with each other in the studio.
- bjs3171, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4I would LOVE to see an MP map of the moving train scene. Just put the thing on a loop.
Also, if this series is ever turned into a movie, I nominate Nathan Fillion as Drake. - caramelzappa, on 10/26/2009, -1/+5The games are always more important than the platform.
- Kbriggs, on 10/26/2009, -0/+4I can see that, i ordered my copy today so i cannot wait.
- nickert0n, on 10/28/2009, -0/+3Im playing both Uncharted 2 and Demon Souls right now too, I have no words for how awesome these games are!
- Mindsink, on 10/26/2009, -1/+4I really enjoy the multiplayer and welcome more great maps and weapons.
- bobjohnsonmilw, on 10/26/2009, -0/+3So incredibly true.
- mouseattacks, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2I have to agree with Megadeth22 and nickert0n. These two games are very addictive.
- YumYumTruck, on 10/26/2009, -1/+3Yeah, was I the only one who thought the first one actually had more options in terms of "hanging cover"? Also, I definitely agree on the sign encounter, although at first I wasn't sure if I was doing it right.
- Arkveld, on 10/28/2009, -0/+2Dugg for Newfoundland
- brownsound00, on 10/26/2009, -2/+4Sorry bruv
- bjs3171, on 10/26/2009, -0/+2the sequel is just as good, if not way way better, and more robust, with a much more developed melee/stealth system.
Multiplayer is great, and it has matchmaking, though it could use some tweaking via updates, in terms of forming teams. That would especially improve matters for beginners, though I'd still highly recommend it anyway. I'm certainly no multiplayer expert, but I thoroughly enjoy it.
It's also nothing like the average Halo match, with a bunch of twelve year-olds screaming trash the entire time, while taking you out in one head-shot. - bjs3171, on 10/26/2009, -0/+2that occured to me too, and it's true for either of the games.
- Mindsink, on 10/26/2009, -0/+2Small maps but great detail and lots of fun. Village, Sanctuary, Lost City and Plaza are my fav. to play. Out of 7 maps, 4 are stellar imo and that's only based on personal taste. Some people like others as they are all fun. I have lots of great fun. I do hope they make the game choosing system more elaborate and more manually manipulative. It would be nice to be able to join map based rooms, and support clans.
- cthellis, on 10/26/2009, -0/+2Naughty Dog hasn't done anything to piss me off yet. I don't see them being dickholes now, just cuz. They would of course already have ideas being worked on, and be mainly waiting for final authorization to polish them up and push them out.
- cthellis, on 10/26/2009, -1/+3Yeah, the moment Halo comes to the PS3, and a Mario game is released for the iPhone.
- cthellis, on 10/26/2009, -0/+2It would be easy to fit in some side-stories as well. After all, we don't always see Chloe's perspective, and we see damn little of Sully overall.
I'd like a side-story where you play as some random merc, wander around on patrol for a while, and then at some point Nathan sneaks behind you and cracks your neck; game over! ;-) - krets, on 10/26/2009, -0/+2Yeah, I think seven sounds about right. The game modes get mixed in pretty well so it doesn't get old. The maps are pretty small though for the most part (I'm comparing to Killzone 2, the other MP I play a lot.)
- clippclop, on 10/26/2009, -1/+2I Would love to see a better cooperative than they had.
- volacide, on 10/26/2009, -1/+24-5 hour dlc? That's getting into episodic content wouldn't you say. Especially when you consider the main game is about 13 hours long on average with ridiculous production values. Can't really see single player being the focus of the DLC to be honest, and I'm fine by that. I would love some new multiplayer maps.
Singleplayer DLC is way different between a game like Fallout 3 and Uncharted 2. Where as 4 hour DLC in Fallout 3 is understandable, that's like half a game in Uncharted 2. - YumYumTruck, on 10/26/2009, -0/+1If they did make an MP map out of the moving train scene, they should probably put it in the tunnel to make the loop less obvious. But, doesn't the train seem a little to tight and small anyway? Maybe decent for a chain reaction type thing, but I don't think it would be good for much else.
