- SSPink, on 11/19/2008, -0/+96"Update: Turns out it is just a concept made by Skizo and not a real Sony PSP campaign."
- bababooey141, on 11/19/2008, -1/+68A fighter that size couldn't get this deep into space on its own!
- ck314, on 11/19/2008, -2/+48fake... really
- Altair27, on 11/19/2008, -3/+33Obviously fake. I see right through this kind of thing.
- tawnos, on 11/19/2008, -2/+27Nice advertising idea.
- solidus636, on 11/19/2008, -0/+10Too bad. It was a cool idea.
- elfuego, on 11/19/2008, -1/+8FIRE! Whoever came up with that creepy baby *****.
HIRE! This guy. - CJDUFFMAN, on 11/19/2008, -3/+9Sweet Design
- nubbler, on 11/19/2008, -0/+5You need your own PSP to defend yourself. You need to get him before he gets you.
- Nyaos, on 11/20/2008, -0/+5I thought the "Sniper about to kill you" would generate controversy
- CrushThemTorg, on 11/19/2008, -1/+5You guys suck at advertising.
- crossmr, on 11/19/2008, -0/+4Good. Don't come back.
- CompanyCalls405, on 11/19/2008, -0/+3Well they did say it wasn't actual advertising.
- SSPink, on 11/19/2008, -2/+5this is not cool

- GeekWit, on 11/19/2008, -5/+7I hope to transfer my entire DVD collection to PSP format because these things are going to be around forever!
- zzzpoohzzz, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2very cool
- doobiebrother, on 11/19/2008, -4/+6Fake. Says so on the site.
- reaper527, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2too bad these are just concepts and not real ads, they look awesome
- satyarth, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2Looked like a guy with a camera to me.
- crossmr, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3yeah and change it depending on the light level, etc...
- readerz, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2nice and creative.
- MasterQ, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2someone's in a mood...
- Bri6791, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1L.A.E.M.
A couple of students made a similar billboard for the Mustang, almost two years ago.
http://jalopnik.com/cars/ads%5Cpromotions/new-ford ... - phosphor112, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1PSP > DS
More functionality, and if you want to get technical, it CAN have more games...just..not in a legit way...It has quality games though..not saying DS doesnt..but the psp does..yumm god of war... - 1892, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1who cares.... really
- cdigioia, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1True about light level - but it doesn't have to be perfect to still look cool. Especially since any change in lighting on the billboard vs. reality could be attributed to the "screen's" effects.
Perspective - damn good point, but just aim it toward the main road in the area & it's still quite good. - ThaBBoyWannaB, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2I clicked, I buried, I laughed and cried.
- Yollasho, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1SHOPPED! Do we still say that around these parts?
Why are we looking at design mockups... - vonbroner, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1I love how people are screaming fake when
1. it says it's fake on the site, people...
2. don't you think a sniper on someone's roof idea would be red flagged pretty freaking quick? - Huangism, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1it's fake? that blows buried
- MasterQ, on 11/19/2008, -2/+3it's fake? really? wow... maybe we should bury it as inaccurate
/sarcasm - blankb, on 11/19/2008, -4/+5 Its very Unique
- Talmidm, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2good strategy
- cdigioia, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2I disagree, it could be done pretty easily. Take a high quality photo of the area where the billboard is projected to be placed, add the character, paste that over the billboard. You only have to change it every time the season changes (in areas where the foliage is visible behind the billboard & does indeed change).
What's so difficult about that, especially for a huge multinational?
edit: Sniper one I'm with you though, at least in most areas of the world. - Nobi-Wan, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Should have made one for night time and the Death Star in the background.
- trixterii, on 11/19/2008, -4/+3Just a concept, buried...
- D3koy, on 11/19/2008, -3/+3The whole concept is pretty neat, but totally impossible. Plus, putting up fake snipers has got to be against the rules...
- suprxtragrav, on 12/09/2008, -3/+3fake for good reason... i can see /alot/ of people suing/getting sued if these were put into production. (particularity from people ***** their pants at the sniper/UFO.
(for the record, i do believe that there are people who are stupid enough to see these and think that they are real, despite having to be at the ideal angle.) - CompanyCalls405, on 11/19/2008, -2/+1These look great. I could only imagine what some people would get up to and post online.
Hilarity ensues? - sykins, on 11/20/2008, -0/+0Sooooooo obviously photoshopped.
Besides the awful photo editing work, the major clue should be the desert scene.
Why spend money on a clever campaign where no one will see it?
DUMB. - brainflakes, on 11/19/2008, -2/+2Nice concept, but will Sony actually pick it up?
- Thorlord, on 11/19/2008, -2/+1ive seen this design before, it was an older post on digg about a year ago using this same concept. i think people said it couldn't work becuase the bilboard has a large metal pole in the middle.
yah, if sony actually did this, i would be impressed, it would be a creative first for them, but lately they lack any kind of creativy or innovation so i highly doubt they will do this, they will probably just end up showing a clip of some kids staring blankly at something off camera and then flash the PS logo....
... or was that the ad that i just saw..... - Jektal, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1perspective...
- Zippo, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1Of course it's just a proof of concept... surely no one thought these looked real.
- inactive, on 11/20/2008, -1/+1Good work SONY.
- PsychoDesigns, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1great concept.. to bad the Photoshop artist made a mistake with the third one.. She/He forgot to erase the space in the little thingy in the bottom left corner of the PSP.. maybe it should be added to the photoshop disasters blog.. but its not as funny
- nickposkitt, on 11/23/2008, -0/+0These aren't real, don't get your hopes up.
- marcus0, on 11/20/2008, -0/+0I like 'em.. too bad they're not real :/
I'll have to repost this on www.pspscene.net I bet they'll get a kick out of it! :) -
