On one hand Singstar is currently one of the best selling casual games (the top 2 games at my local store are variants of it), but the other the PS3 userbase consists almost exclusively of "hardcore" gamers who scoff at games like this, and the console is at leats five years away from reaching a mass market price.

Then i'd put all the songs online for purchase. One could offer single songs for a few $ or a complete collection... I'd say that this would pay out far more for them. But then of course, I could be wrong also :)

I showed this game to my wife about 6 months ago and she's been asking me "if it is out" every since. These are the type of games that I think can really push gaming into the mainstream.

This game, especially could benefit from a narrator with really fractured,funny English,perhaps even with subtitle "translation" to English.

Object is to go to a bar on Karaoke night and get ***** faced drunk, then sing a song ya don't know while dodging the flying beer bottles... it's cheaper and worth more then buying some crappy singing game... if you don't count the hospital bills.

Well, yeah. We don't have tens of thousands of dollars of equipment to take out everything natural about our voice to make it pitch-perfect and poppy.

I thought the game itself cost money for the songs contained within and then we pay extra for whatever song available online. Does anyone know for certain?

Born and raised in soooooouuuuuuuth Detroit.... - 808kick, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1From my personal experience with "tens of thousands of dollars of equipment," if you're a horrible singer you can make a passable performance, you actually have to have decent pitch and know how to sing. Anyone who has spent more that an hour with any pitch correcting hardware or software knows what an over corrected performance sounds like.
