- LoudNoise, on 10/10/2007, -10/+1You can?
- xino, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Shattered Dead and Dead Clowns comes to mind. I never seen a movie worse than those 2.
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -0/+3How about movies people have heard of?

- Nobi-Wan, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6This is a great move if true. The price has always been a main deterrent for millions of people, myself included. I've already got a 360 but if it consistently drops in price, gets some worthwhile games, and stays as sturdy of a machine as it's been, then I'd look into getting one.... if my wife says it's ok.
This move will also cause Microsoft stop with some of their ***** tactics. Some of the microtransactions are getting out of hand. Plus, the $60 price for games is retarded. It made more sense when games were manufactured in difficult cartridges, but all they're doing is now is burning them onto discs if they're not releasing them as "download only."- Shaem1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4"if my wife says it's ok" LOL
Whoopa!- Nobi-Wan, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Yeah, I know...
Sex > Gaming- MWeather, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6What does sex have to do with marriage?
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Touché!
- ctrlv, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2No. If you, a grown man, need your wife's permission to purchase a PS3 or anything for that matter with your hard earned money in the hopes of getting sex.. from your wife... wow, you're less of a man than my little sister, and I really feel sorry for your pathetic pussy whipped existence.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Douche.
You're obviously either not married or a selfish prick to whatever woman you attempt to date. I'm married so yes, I talk to my wife before I make a ridiculous purchase like a PS3 because I respect her opinion. I don't NEED a PS3 but I'd hope she'd talk to me if she wanted to buy a pair of $600 shoes. It's sad to see that you live in some fantasy land where you believe that you can do whatever the ***** you want in a marriage without feeling like your partner's opinions or feelings matter. That's not a marriage, that's a dictatorship. Also, if she's going to buy me one for my birthday that's also another reason to get a head's up.
And my wife wouldn't withhold sex for something like that. I was joking.
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Yeah, I know...

- Mewchu11, on 10/10/2007, -43/+9Still too expensive for me, sorry. Maybe $299.99 with the vastly superior Spiderman 2 I'd give a shot, but not this. $99 bucks for a PS2 is nice though...
- skidme, on 10/10/2007, -9/+34We're sorry you're poor and have no taste in movies...
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14$400 is too expensive? I spent that much on my 360 with no accessories except for a controller and hard drive. It's a good move for them and will create more competition between MS and Sony which is ALWAYS a good thing for us as gamers.
- DangerMouse9, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Man, I hope you never have to pay for insurance.

- sacr3dc0w, on 10/10/2007, -24/+5I'd rather have Talladega Nights versus that horrible movie known as Spiderman 3.
- dillibob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5talladega nights sucked too
- falloutsyndrome, on 10/10/2007, -30/+5There are better movies on blu-ray . . . like 300 . . . then I might consider a PS3.
- ahatter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+39you would buy a PS3 for a $30 movie..?
- MewTwo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2lame
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6OK, let me break it down for you: This deal is for the holidays. Holidays, for buying presents. Presents, likely for kids who can't buy stuff themselves. Now do you maybe see the problem with packing in an R rated movie full of violence and nudity? Besides, Spiderman is a big Sony thing, so that makes sense anyway.
- ahatter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+39you would buy a PS3 for a $30 movie..?
- Cerialthriller, on 10/10/2007, -33/+7Wow, are the games so bad for the PS3 that they are trying to bundle it with Spiderman 3 blu-rays to get sales...
- bigbadgoat, on 10/24/2007, -6/+24you got that backwards. Spiderman 3 is so bad, they're trying to bundle it with the PS3 to get sales.
and I'm partial to the PS3. - JigoroKano, on 10/24/2007, -0/+11It's actually a clever form of advertisement. A way of telling customers that the PS3 can play HD movies.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -12/+4Seems more like people already know it plays movies and they want them to know it plays games:

- AhrenBa, on 10/10/2007, -13/+6Hmmm... I don't understand why Sony would be doing this. I don't think people believe an extra $100 is justifiable for only 40 gigs more of hard drive space for the $599 model. It seems like they'd be undercutting their "flagship" model.
- XenonG, on 10/10/2007, -20/+3You can get a 3.5"inch 160GB harddrive for less than 100 bucks, Sony ripping people off as usual.
- macromorgan, on 10/10/2007, -11/+1I'd rather pay $180 for 120 gigs than $100 for 160 gigs.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6what? Why the ***** would you want to spend $80 more for 40GBs less?
- djSyndrome, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6He forgot the [/sarcasm] tag. Or the [/moron] tag.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6what? Why the ***** would you want to spend $80 more for 40GBs less?
- andydumi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18Too bad the PS3 uses a 2.5 inch hard drive. And I am not even going to bring up the fact that its upgradeable at will. Or MSs hard drive prices...
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -0/+35The only one ripping people off on harddrives is Microsoft.
Both the Xbox360 and PS3 use internal 2.5 inch SATA drives. The PS3 allows you to plug in any 2.5 inch SATA drive that is larger than 20 gigs, the manual even details how to do it, and it will accept it as if it was an official drive. The Xbox360 only works with it's "official" drives, which cost $100 for 20 gigs and $180 for 120 gigs...
I could get a 160gig 2.5 SATA drive at newegg for $100..
- macromorgan, on 10/10/2007, -11/+1I'd rather pay $180 for 120 gigs than $100 for 160 gigs.
- XenonG, on 10/10/2007, -20/+3You can get a 3.5"inch 160GB harddrive for less than 100 bucks, Sony ripping people off as usual.
- Wiinii, on 10/24/2007, -8/+31Still better to get the 60gb with Emotion engine now.
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -8/+6Out of curiosity, why is the EE so significant? Don't the newer PS3s have any significant hardware improvements?
- andydumi, on 10/24/2007, -0/+19No significant hardware improvements.
The thing is the EE allows for 99.999% backwards compatibility, whereas without it you are in the realm of software compatibility, which is currently at about 90% and improving every patch. There is a search engine on the official Sony website to allow you to figure out if your games will work or not.
- andydumi, on 10/24/2007, -0/+19No significant hardware improvements.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -11/+3I have a feeling the EE will be disabled anyway in a future patch. Once software emulation hits the 98%/99% point. It would be too difficult and confusing to create two versions of the firmware for the two systems, especially since there will be more non-EE systems than EE in the future, and it would result in tech support calls of people who think their PS3 is broken because their will not play some game their friend's launch system can.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10That's the most retarded thing I've read so far in this thread.
- NSMike, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Well, it would be if backwards compatibility is your primary concern.
- MWeather, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7If that's you primary concern, the PS2 is only $100.
- blankoboy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1I'm not interested in backwards compatibility on the PS3 (why would anyone be?) so I'd rather wait and buy the 65nm cell and RSX iteration of the PS3 when it comes out.
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -8/+6Out of curiosity, why is the EE so significant? Don't the newer PS3s have any significant hardware improvements?
- crashingechelon, on 10/10/2007, -15/+7If it doesn't have the emotion engine I don't care.
- bjs3171, on 10/10/2007, -6/+4what's the emotion engine?
- Tippis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6The hardware that takes care of PS2 (and PS1) games. In newer models, it's all handled through software emulation.
- johnIRL, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Do you have a PS2? Use that instead
- MagicCake, on 10/24/2007, -0/+4It's nicer to play those games on a PS3. It's an important feature for some people (myself included).
- bjs3171, on 10/10/2007, -6/+4what's the emotion engine?
- Meave, on 10/10/2007, -29/+7All this and still no good games
- djSyndrome, on 10/24/2007, -2/+11All that and still no new insults.
- moojahdeen, on 10/10/2007, -47/+2As soon as I can steal games then I will buy a PS3. I haven't paid for a game in over 7 years and have pwned(pun intended) every major console. That's how I do. That's how I ride.
- dreado, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9You are so cool, i wish i were you. *looks up to you with glundering eyes [/sarcasm]
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1Glundering?

- rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -15/+3been waitng for years for this damn ps2 tp get cheaper and its only $25 off?, expected them to be around $75.
- 2Deluxe, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Geez, some people are never happy.
Quit bitchin', $99 for a console. Have a cry.- rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1you never know its not definite they could be even cheaper, dont give up.
- charityjustice, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Honestly, if you're interested in a PS2 its time to get off the fence already.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8What the hell was you expecting? A $50 PS2?
- rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1just a ps2 guys.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Welcome to the year 2000! That $200 you saved from buying it at launch really paid off!
...cheap bastard.- rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1 cheap comments here only makes you look cheap my friend...
- reyfin, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1Youre a ridiculously cheap ass, u know that right? Go get a job and maybe a life. Hope you realize how stupid and poor you sound...Your Helpless
- rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1maybe your outlook on other peoples lives reminds you too much of your own?

- Soothsayer1, on 10/10/2007, -4/+0Otherwise known as the "take-it-up-the-ass-for-Sony" squad..sigh.
- Blankcheque, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Funny, I thought that was the Microsoft ***** slobberers who get orgasmic over Pacman LE and Sonic 2.
- rosenz, on 10/10/2007, -22/+7Can I pay an extra $50 and get it *without* Spiderman 3? That would be a better deal.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Hmm, you would be paying more for a packe that has a movie removed from it.
Sorry, I never took marketing, but how is this a better deal? Seems like you are paying more to get less to me...- Rovient, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Please tell me you're joking?
- hockey, on 10/24/2007, -2/+8He's trying to get in a witty comment. Bashing the PS3 and Spiderman 3 is the new 'in' thing on digg.
- Mrstupid7, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1Have you seen Spiderman 3? I walked out of the movie theater after seeing emo Peter.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Hmm, you would be paying more for a packe that has a movie removed from it.
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -12/+5I couldn't justify the hundred bucks for another 40GB, and yet I would have a sour feeling from getting half of the potential hard drive space. It's a quandary.
- JigoroKano, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10It takes standard SATA hard drives.
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Good to know .. easily swappable without violating warranty?
- Ndiggnation, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Yes, there are even instructions in the manual that tell you how to do it. I think someone mentioned that upthread, but it seems pretty easy. Might get around to doing it myself at some point. I have a stack of SATA notebook hard drives..
- djSyndrome, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Worth mentioning: the hard drives are 2.5" notebook drives, not standard 3.5" ones.
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Yeah, there's a little hatch on the side of the system. Opens right up for taking the hard drive out. Although it's worth mentioning that the 2.5" drives it uses are considerably more expensive than their 3.5" cousins, so you might just want to live with the 40 GB. It doesn't sound like much from a PC perspective, but I've got the 60 GB model and I've barely used 15 even after downloading lots of big demos and 1080p trailers and stuff. 40 is probably just fine, so if $400 is sounding good, I would just go for it.

- Import98, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16$400 is a reasonable price....I may have to bite and ask wifey to get me one for Xmas. Although.....it'll be all I get from her. :/
- andydumi, on 10/10/2007, -8/+3I have a feeling the Movie will come with the 499 version, to justify the 100$ difference, 40gb and a movie.
- lakuma, on 10/10/2007, -3/+33I would buy the $399 model with the 40G hd and replace it with a 160G hd for $89.00. Double the space of the 80G model and you are saving $10. Upgrading your PS3 hd is extremely easy.
- chhenry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5also you dont have to spend the $89 until you actually need the storage.
- phoenixp3k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1By then you'll get to buy a 300GB hard drive instead (unless you get all your games as digital download, like Warhawk)
- johnboyjr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1you can still just redownload Warhawk for free if you already paid for it
- phoenixp3k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1By then you'll get to buy a 300GB hard drive instead (unless you get all your games as digital download, like Warhawk)
- NeoTEKK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Thank you. I'm surprised more people here didn't get that right off the bat. It's what I thought when I first read this. There's no way I'm filling up my 40g hd over the weekend lol.
- chhenry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5also you dont have to spend the $89 until you actually need the storage.
- blackprizm, on 10/10/2007, -19/+6No Games... No Deal...
- triplehelix, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3well then it looks like you have yourself a deal!
- MewTwo, on 10/10/2007, -10/+4You guys are too critical of Spider-Man 3. Lame.
And jeez, why does arstech have to go on and on about their mysterious insider mole secret agent person. If you were right before, then just say what you 'know' and we'll most likely believe you. It's so cheesy and desperate.- andydumi, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Because if they get it wrong they lose credibility. This way they are actually honest, they have a mole so they give him credit.
- AARGH2K, on 10/10/2007, -8/+2Desperate is Sony's multiple price drops (if this is true)....
- qwerty1263, on 10/10/2007, -18/+2They'd be better of with MotoStorm, not Spidey 3 that game sucked. If they do go with Spidey 3 I see a ***** load of future trade ins on that game
- andydumi, on 10/24/2007, -2/+13I think they are talking about the movie, not the game.
- Mrstupid7, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1either way spiderman 3 sucked.
- maci01, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Its the movie. You're so cutee.
- andydumi, on 10/24/2007, -2/+13I think they are talking about the movie, not the game.
- AARGH2K, on 10/10/2007, -17/+3Price drop all ya want, still no AAA titles for the thing. Guess that explains a pack in movie. When it fails as a game machine, it's a movie player.
- cavie2002, on 10/10/2007, -9/+2all i want for Christmas is my two..front .,,teeth
- abcdefghij, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15This will be the only positive comment on this story
- acurism, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12I agree. Now all the haters who said it needs to be at a price point of 400 will start saying that it is over priced at should be 300. With all the features it has, it was a "good" deal at 600. I don't understand all the bitching.
Some people are never freaking happy and clearly the people bitching that it is still too high (if this RUMOR is true) were never going to buy a PS3 anyway, just mindless Trolls. - MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Sad, huh? I actually like my PS3.
- acurism, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12I agree. Now all the haters who said it needs to be at a price point of 400 will start saying that it is over priced at should be 300. With all the features it has, it was a "good" deal at 600. I don't understand all the bitching.
- ZenMojo, on 10/24/2007, -3/+7Here's the second positive comment: wow, good deal, and like someone above said, you can always upgrade the hard drive. I have an 80 gig hard drive that I don't even use.
- GunnerMcGrath, on 10/10/2007, -12/+1For a second I thought that might be a pricepoint I was willing to consider.. and then I remembered the whole bit about there being no games worth playing, and the fact that I've already got more than $400 in preorders for 360 games.. PS3 please die already and take blu-ray with you so I can stop waiting to find out which format will be this generation's betamax.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/24/2007, -0/+9You realize that Blu-Ray is killing HD-DVD right?
- mobislink, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Just hope your 360 don't die as you $400 worth of games come in. If so enjoy your game of red ring.
- BrandonMills, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Can you swap hard drives in the PS3? I mean, 40 and 80 are great, but 500 is what I'm talking about :)
- deepmenace, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6dont think you can get 500gb 2.5 inch hard drives yet....at least at an accessible prce.
250gb is max.
/waits to be proven wrong/ - acurism, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yes, It clearly shows you how to in the owners manual. It looks pretty simple.
- lakuma, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1There is a difference between internal and external hard drives.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Although 3.5 inch internal drives have hit 1TB now, the largest 2.5 inch internal I have seen on newegg is 250gig.
- anonymous666, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2or you can use HDXT to use your 3.5" drives
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Sure, you can swap it out, but the drives it uses (the 2.5" SATA) are really expensive...
- bilbravo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Fail.
- Blankcheque, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Still cheaper then Microsofts Harddrive.
And there's both internal and external, in five years the price on a 250GB will be more then reasonable, and you'll still have another five years left with the PS3.
Or you could go the ultra cheap route and just get an external USB Hard drive in what ever size you want.
- deepmenace, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6dont think you can get 500gb 2.5 inch hard drives yet....at least at an accessible prce.
- hark659, on 10/10/2007, -10/+2Enough with movies already and spiderman 3 suck. I perfer a game included when I buy PS3. At my local store selling xbox360 with three games, that's something useful. PS3 is a gaming machine for god sake, WHERE'S the game!!!
- Mitaphane, on 10/10/2007, -9/+4The PS3, as a game machine, is struggling right now. It's being outsold by the Wii in huge numbers in Japan and its been receiving a one-two punch from both the Wii and 360 in the states. PS3 game exclusivity is being hurt by game studios that need to make a profit off of more expensive next-gen titles. It's unlikely that the PS3 will achieve the same penetration that PS2 had. Right now, Sony's best hope for the PS3 is BluRay; subsidize the cost of the PS3 and hope in the long run that BluRay will gain dominance as next-gen HD movie format and that the games division will break even from all the losses that has incurred from the PS3.
- SanTe, on 10/10/2007, -10/+4"$400 40GB PS3 with Spidey 3 Blu-ray pack-in?"
Well that's one way to flog a dead horse. What a crappy movie. After they scammed $$$ from the fanboys on the theatrical run there's no one left to sell it to. - rmw132, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Once FFXIII and MGS come out, the PS3 will finally be a success and redeem itself in the gaming market.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2Just like what Lair was supposed to do?
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Lair was a new franchise and thus somewhat risky. FF and MGS are guaranteed sellers, so they're a different story.
- DarkSamus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0so ps3 owners are supposed to jerk off until then?
- dillibob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2the ps3 probably wont be as good as the ps2 but i think it will pretty much catch up to the 360. i mean the xbox didnt sell at all for at least a year. the only good game on it was halo, but now its doing pretty well for itself.
- phoenixp3k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2A bit optimistic talking about SUCCESS and REDEMPTION. I think they'll be in the game and become a nice option.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2Just like what Lair was supposed to do?
- hockey, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21I just went through this entire thread and saw virtually nothing but "the PS3 still sucks"
Don't you guys have anything better to do than troll threads? Can we have anything remotely resembling a discussion on this topic at all anymore? We get it, you hate Sony, you hate the PS3, Sony bashing is "kewl" and Lair sux. Can you please move on now?
I'm not a big fan of the Wii (yes it's heresy to state that I know) but I don't go around trolling every Wii thread on this site.

- bj00rn, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1Not going to happen. Maybe it sound odd, but the 40GB is actually more expensive for Sony to buy in bulk.
- NeoTEKK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Explain?
- Sniper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+140GB HDD cost more because their not the 'norm' any more.
- NeoTEKK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Explain?
- rarson, on 10/10/2007, -6/+6So much for Sony's plan to eliminate multiple SKUs.
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -7/+4Greetings, welcome to Wal*Mart! You want a PS3? Sure! What version? Basic? Pro? Ultimate? Multimedia? Gold? Platinum? BC Edition? DVR Edition? Phil's Edition?
- rarson, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Why did someone digg me down for this comment? Sony had launched the PS3 with 2 SKU's. The cheaper one didn't sell well, and Sony got rid of it stating that they weren't going to have 2 SKUs because the consumers didn't want it and they wanted to basically focus on having one machine on the shelves. Now they're totally going back on what they said AGAIN (this is the second time they've gone back on that statement).
This is why I keep talking about the bad mistakes that Sony keeps making. STOP packing movies in with your game systems. I didn't want a Blu-Ray player and I don't want a Blu-Ray movie just because the PS3 will play them. I buy consoles to play games on them. Packing in a movie, at best, is giving a customer a lame extra and at worst, is forcing them to pay for a movie they didn't even want. I WANT THE PS3 TO SUCCEED. I want Sony to stop making so many damn dumb decisions.- enforcerpsu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Its hard for Sony marketing to NOT pack in a movie...after all the PS3 is just a Trojan horse for blu-ray.
But seriously, they are trying to force the format. Thats the reason for the pack in movie.

- triplehelix, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2i think your confusing the available xbox choices.
- matt0r, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1until they start packing the thing with at least some component cables, they can stick in any bluray movie they want and half the people aren't going to even know you need better cables to watch it in high def
- Sniper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1RTFM ;)
- blankoboy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2By this logic, 40GB = $100. SONY, please sell at $299 PS3 with no HDD....then I'll go purchase my own 200GB drive to add in. Marketing genius at work! =)
- NeoTEKK, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Long day at work for me I guess, but I had to read that one twice. Makes perfect sense! I WISH they would do that. Sadly, that's hardly the logic THEY used. >=(
What they should do is (at least for a limited time) sell the PS3 at $299 and let the consumers worry about the memory. BUT, one of their key elements in their "strategy" is that *all* PS3 systmes owned to this day have a hard drive. Go figure. - staticneuron, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3If every PS3 didn't come with the hard drive every developer would program for the lowest common denominator first. It is not even a remotely good idea that a console ships without a hard drive. The games on the 360 would probably be even more awesome if they included HD's in every SKU (even a small oneO.

- ausfahrt, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Why a 2.5 hdd .. why not a 500 gig external for 100 bucks?
- edrift101, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1A price drop like this might make me a loyal Sony customer again... (any Sony DRM in the works?)
- DarkSamus, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0i would rather get tekken DR download for free instead of spiderman movie any day
- Dracusis, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1A Free PSN credit/coupon would be a better way to promote the PS3. A Bluray movie without any HD cables included is a tad pointless.
- Carg0, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1damn, another SKU? talk about confusing the market even more...
when do we start hearing about EXCLUSIVE, KILLER-APPS?
a $400 ps3 is great...for those who have been sitting on the fence. but what about the 4.5mil owners who already bought one when it was $600? a year later they're still asking that same question.
This is what, their 4th or 5th ps3 SKU now? I've really lost count at this point. I wouldn't mind purchasing a $400 ps3 but at this rate, who's to say they won't come out with another SKU a year from now that's even better?- badsn95, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'm playing Warhawk and loving it. The game rocks although it has a few bugs right now. Lair is also a pretty good game. I'm glad I rented it this weekend. Don't forget Heavenly Sword comes out tomorrow. Hopefully we will see some new games at TGS later this month.
- amrush4th, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I paid 500 and love it, but 399 will be the sweet spot
- enforcerpsu, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Why don't we get a few MORE versions of the PS3. Why stop now? Lets get a $450, 60gig versions with Die Hard. How about a $1000, 120gig version that comes with all 3 LOTR movies?
This ***** is getting ridiculous. Well enough out of me, lets get back to the Sony fanboy comments: "OMG!1 !I bought a PS3 is its the best thing I evar played!111 you shuld see the bluray on my TV! LAIR IS AWESOME! Home is sooo much better that wiitards, lolollll!!11"- EDmAN, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2You sound really stupid you know that? Since the 60gb version is going away another version would mean only 2 versions for the PS3. 360 has premium, core, elite , and halo editions which are all different.. So what's your beef with a 40gb PS3?
- Jezmund, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2It might not be blu ray spider man anymore. There is a lot of talk about a massive PS3 recall and Sony signed a 18 month contract with HD-DVD.
- Sniper, on 10/24/2007, -0/+3You have to be completely retarded to actually believe that story.
- SpaceNinjaDino, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1A $400 PS3 with an okay sized HD will be tempting once they have at least three games that are not on the 360 that I want to play. Killzone 2 looks to be the first for me. I've never been a MGS fan so that's out. I own about 40 PS2 titles so I'm not a MS fan boy.
- LankyBastard, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Boy Genius Report confirmed this today.
