- slimthps, on 11/12/2008, -7/+57Please, for the love of God, finish and release Home.
- alby13, on 11/12/2008, -5/+34yeah, and it should have been ready by now.
- kadoosh, on 11/12/2008, -22/+50Sony's getting better and better by the day.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/12/2008, -1/+27The afros are available, but the pool's closed. Sorry, AIDS.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 11/12/2008, -1/+22Netflix HD is awesome, but it does NOT negate blu-ray. Blu-Ray runs at 1080p with higher bitrates. Plus it has all the extras and interactive features on disc that won't be possible with streaming.
- specialK16, on 11/12/2008, -1/+20Man, I wish I had PSN friends.
I wish I had real friends for that matter.
/cries. - alexhouse, on 11/12/2008, -5/+20Is there a pool? Can you create afros for your avatar?
- spiralspirit, on 11/12/2008, -13/+28call me when xbox live is free. until then...
- FIREMILLEN, on 11/12/2008, -1/+15Start a trend and sell your computer and donate the money now!
- fuse13, on 11/12/2008, -4/+16I think its great that they have different stuff than the other guy. Im not desperately waiting for home, but LBP has totally rocked my world (online with freinds is just pure fun) and showed that there is great potential for the different consoles to do different things.
all the kids who want to play FPS on consoles can have thier 360s and pay for live, thats cool. im a PS3 fan, but not a fanboy who needs to tell everyone else what THEY should have. I only know what I want. - etruscan, on 11/13/2008, -4/+16Never had a problem with PSN personally - in fact, I find I have more fun playing with folks on PSN than I did on Xbox live. I wouldn't give up Blu-ray, it's absolutely stunning. The controller is also a big reason I prefer the PS3.
Home was always a bonus for me, rather than a selling point. However, I love the idea, think it's quite smart on Sony's part, and I can't wait to try it out. - etruscan, on 11/13/2008, -1/+12With SOCOM ironed out, Resistance 2, and Killzone 2 on the way - the PS3 is becoming the killer FPS machine.
- smakusdod, on 11/12/2008, -5/+16You mean, incrementally better, year over year, right?
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -3/+13BUT THEN HOW WILL I WHINE ABOUT ***** ON THE INTERNET?
- Aadain, on 11/12/2008, -2/+12I'm a PS3 owner and have a feeling that you are right. They had a window of opportunity when they first announced Home that would have resulted in a huge influx of users that would have populated the world with interesting activities, communities, and attracted lots of third party additions/ads/games/etc. Now most people have placed Home in the same bin a Duke Nukem Forever, so when it finally does come out it will be impossible for it to be anything but a giant flop. Sony might as well just stop working out it, accept the lose of revenue and redirect their energy to something else.
- Ajajadude, on 11/12/2008, -5/+15I've yet to have any major problems with PSN. Certainly not the kind where the entire network is unusable during the holiday season.
The problem with using an online service for HD movies is the move by some ISPs to start capping bandwidth (no doubt to be followed by every other ISP in the country).
Trying to justify the cost of online gameplay when you're not really getting anything better than the competition's free version is getting old. Let's break it down: on Live and PSN, you can play games online (the basic necessity for online gameplay). One costs money, the other doesn't. End of story. - inactive, on 11/13/2008, -3/+13I am an owner of both systems, and I prefer PSN. It has 99% of Live's functionality for free.
- Zoids, on 11/13/2008, -0/+10Folding cures cancer.
I'm serious, look it up! - oblique63, on 11/12/2008, -7/+16I'd say MGS4 lived up to the hype...
- jacksons98, on 11/12/2008, -12/+21PSN is already better than Live.
Supports bigger online games with no lag, supports remote access to PS3 thru PSP, has internet browser support, less DRM on download games and is FREE - mcfarrr, on 11/12/2008, -8/+17I have to say that Sony has come a long way with the PS3 (remember when we didn't have an in-game XMB... brutal days). As intriguing as the concept of Home is, I have to wonder if their ambition exceeds their reach. Perhaps all the resources dedicated to home may have been better suited to making the PSN as seamless a service as XBL without the yearly subscription fee. Just my two cents.

Add me. - inactive, on 11/13/2008, -1/+9"I own a PS3 and a 360, and there is no way in hell you could possibly convince me the PSN and PlayStation Store are better than XBOX Live and the Live Marketplace."
I own a PS3 and a 360, and there is no way in hell you could possibly convince me the Live and Live Marketplace are better than PSN and PSN's store.
PSN has 99% of the functionality of Live, plus things Live doesn't have (less draconian DRM for example) - PleaseJustDie, on 11/12/2008, -2/+10I'd rather it be released when its done and delayed, even years, than released when its broken and patched for years.
If its solid when they release it, all the fools who want it now, whether its done or not, will forgive them immediately, if it was broken when they release it, they'll never hear the end of it.
They are smart by delaying it until its finished right. Keep it up Sony! - piper999, on 11/13/2008, -4/+12PSN vs Xbox Live arguments are like going back in time two years.
Oh right - we're talking about Home which has been stuck in a timewarp for the last 2 years. Carry on... - inactive, on 11/13/2008, -1/+9I'll gladly be your friend for $100.
- FENWAYFREAK, on 11/12/2008, -1/+8As a beta tester for home, it really sounds exciting, but I honestly haven't used it in months. I'll log on occasionally for 5 minutes or so, but there really isn't a reason to use it until everyone gets it.
- mmittimm, on 11/12/2008, -3/+10But you can hang out with your friends without having to get off your ass and hang out with your friends!
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -7/+14Since this is an emergency, all robots will now have their patriotism circuits activated
- fuse13, on 11/12/2008, -2/+9i have zero interest in paying for my online service, thanks.
- fuse13, on 11/12/2008, -2/+9dude, the audience they wanted owns PS3s.
also, if I had little regard for how I spent my money I would have bought an unreliable box which has a monthly fee to access online services. - Zamfir, on 11/12/2008, -9/+15It'll be out when it's ready. The way it should be.
- Namco, on 11/12/2008, -3/+9In other news: Alaskan winters still cold. Film at 11.
- chkdg8, on 11/12/2008, -10/+16Finally we have some promise on delivery. But I have the sneaky suspicion that the base of the first release is not going to live up to its hype. In any case, Sony's PS3 team is slowly becoming like Apple when it comes time for software updates and additions so I'm sure that Home will quickly witness the same support. It's a great time to be a PS3 owner.
- weezerrock86, on 11/12/2008, -4/+10I wish they would just let us figure out what we think on our own and release it.
- mywhitenoise, on 11/13/2008, -1/+7I borrowed a 360 for a month, preferred the interface of PS3, and didn't see how Live was worth $50...it really isn't THAT much better than PSN.
- dandonia, on 11/13/2008, -1/+7I wish MS would stop charging people to use their own connections and I wish Sony would start forcing features on developers.
I know this sounds like a cop out but the PS3 has better abilities but it just doesn't enforce them. It has voice chat, screen grabs, it has game invites, direct to youtube, trophies (which are slightly better than achievements because of the level and completion trophy), etc. It just doesn't enforce them which is why people are hating on the PSN. If MS implement a feature, every game has it not just a few specific games.
Xbox Live is awesome, but to charge me to host games for others to play is ridiculas when no other platform does it. Then to offer me free gaming on select Microsoft games rather is just another kick in the nuts. Funny how every other feature is implemented across every game but not the free online play.
How anyone can justify xbox lives fee is beyond me. I play fifa online, I invite my friends, I have fun chatting with them. Where is the difference to when I play it on my 360. Oh yeah I get charged. I am essentially paying 3 times to play my game. Once to my ISP (but at least I have full access to the internet), once to the shop I get the game from and another to MS just so I can use some of the features on my disc. - inactive, on 11/12/2008, -3/+8PEOPLE ARE HAVING TOO MANY CHILDREN IN UNSUSTAINABLE AREAS OF THE WORLD THAT NEED BIRTH CONTROL MORE THAN THEY DO FOOD
- cthellis, on 11/13/2008, -0/+5It's been that ways ever since the olden days.
"Ugh! Grog like rock! Rock much better cuz rock bash hard!"
"Dumb Grog, Grek say BIG STICK better cuz BIG STICK have more range!" - isayre020888, on 11/13/2008, -0/+5Same here dude. None of my friends own a PS3.
- Gamoc, on 11/12/2008, -2/+7I agree completely with both Zamfir and PleaseJustDie. It should be released when it is ready and working, which is how is should always be with EVERYTHING. Could you imagine if they released films for a deadline before it had finished filming? It's a similar thing.
- StratoStreak, on 11/13/2008, -0/+5ARE YOU SMOKING YET?
- recruz, on 11/12/2008, -13/+18This looks like a lot of fun! I just prefer Sony over XBOX ... I think the Blu-Ray capability really won me over
- mywhitenoise, on 11/12/2008, -9/+14PSN is pretty much the same as LIVE without the ***** ads, and the fee. The Store is easier to navigate and has just as good (if not, better) content on i.t
- ScionX, on 11/13/2008, -0/+4That comes with any online game w/voice. It's not restricted to consoles.
- emjaymj, on 11/13/2008, -1/+5@ScionX
I'm not sure what you're talking about. The stealth part of the game is very much there if you decide to play it that way. Even on the hardest difficulty it's possible to beat the game without killing people and without triggering any alerts. The great thing about the game was that it was totally up to you how to play - from super-stealthy to just full-out rambo, and everything in between. - patrick159, on 11/13/2008, -0/+4yea sony is getting better. the only downfall is that home is taking a long time but at least its all most here.
- specialK16, on 11/12/2008, -8/+12No, it happens that digg is run by Xbox360 13 year old fanboys who will simply nag about anything related to Sony or the PS3.
Grow up. - rusty123jimi, on 11/12/2008, -10/+14After all the delays...my interest in Home is kind of dwindling...and that's coming from a launch PS3 owner. If Home does live up to hype Sony has been talking about, then it will be a nice add to my FREE psn experience.
- inactive, on 11/12/2008, -1/+5yeah but you have to remember theres probably some enthusiastic dedicated developers behind this project. whether the money goes to them or goes to the guys patching up PSN wont really make all that much difference i dont think.
