USED $39.99
NEW $29.99
as of today. - theculchie1, on 07/29/2008, -15/+41Digg me down if you think there is no reason to buy a PS3.
Digg me up if you think there are lots of reasons to buy a PS3.
(its poll) - inactive, on 07/28/2008, -2/+28Ninja Gaiden Sigma Here I come! Too bad Ratchet and Clank isn't on the list. Awesome game.
- kingp, on 07/29/2008, -7/+30I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I don't know who to talk to about it.
- roxya, on 07/29/2008, -1/+23It's also coming to PS3, btw.
- kingp, on 07/29/2008, -2/+24Gamestop = FAIL
- badwithcomputer, on 07/29/2008, -0/+20and alphers!
- hcoimbra, on 07/29/2008, -2/+20CoD3? Bitch please...
- skoles, on 07/29/2008, -0/+17Awesome. Please make sure to let us know when you have about 1/4 of a gallon of milk left, but still might go out and buy another gallon because you're not sure if you'll need more than 1/4 sooner than you anticipate.
- DraxusD, on 07/29/2008, -5/+21yeah especially the online servi... oh wait
don't be a dick - Sunscreen, on 07/28/2008, -2/+17I'm very surprised to see Assassin's Creed for only $30. Fantastic game! It's about time Resistance gets cheaper, it's almost 2 years old, but it was worth the $60 when I got it in Nov 06 :p
- ToddSchishler, on 07/29/2008, -0/+15I feel bad for Europe. They get yellow cases.
- hadiz, on 07/28/2008, -1/+15Ratchet and Clank is a greatest hits game... in Europe.
- Acqua206, on 07/29/2008, -2/+16Keep him at 1 if you just don't give a *****.
- joecolly, on 07/29/2008, -1/+13It says within 2 years, so that doesn't mean the game has to be 2 years old.
And by "exceeded standards", they pretty much mean any game that sells a lot. At the end of the day, this is just Sony's way of "re-branding" old products in order to milk them for as much cash as they can. It's nothing more than that.
MGS4 and GTA4 have both exceeded standards (way more than the greatest hits games), but Sony won't make those games "greatest hits" for a while yet because they're still selling copies. - lordwow, on 07/29/2008, -6/+18I guess "greatest hits" is a relative term.
- apena89, on 07/29/2008, -5/+16omg, costs ~$700 to match an xbox with PS3 feature for feature.
- scotto808, on 07/28/2008, -2/+12isn't Warhawk already $30?
- theaceoffire, on 07/29/2008, -1/+11^_^ Luckly, you *CAN* smash things in Ninja Gaiden!
Brilliant! - bigbadgoat, on 07/29/2008, -2/+11Yeah, nothing like developers getting Dev Kits to make xbox 360 games close to 2 years before the first devs got their hands on a PS3 dev kit.
I mean that has NOTHING to do with it. - deadmoo, on 07/28/2008, -1/+9I guess this means used copies will go down even further too. I just bought Warhawk too, dang.
- azurechaos, on 07/29/2008, -1/+8This is awesome. Finally got warhawk online once I saw the price change.
I'm finally getting really excited about all the games for my PS3, it's a great time to be a gamer.
Siren: Blood Curse is creepy as hell, I'm glad I bought th episodes for that one. Just got Pain for the $5 and it's hilarious and tons of fun(you get to catapult people into buildings/cars/grandmas, etc.), Elefunk is awesome (the multiplayer is like jenga), Naruto looks like it's going to be amazing, same for Resistance 2, Fallout 3, Dead Space, Silent Hill:Homecoming, Littlebigplanet. woo! - djholybolt, on 07/29/2008, -0/+7I hope this doesn't come as a suprise.. a Doctor?
And most certainly not your dog or pet hamster - Chewie67, on 07/29/2008, -2/+9Compared to what?
- Platinum Hits on the 360 are $30.
- Wii has no greatest hits
- PC games cost $40 to start, and require you to plunk down $400 for a new graphics card every 18 months.
I fail to see how the PS3 is any better or worse than the alternatives, or were you just trying to be a flame baiting troll bitch? - bdawg123, on 07/29/2008, -0/+7Wow, you're pretty stupid then, aren't you?
- bigbadgoat, on 07/29/2008, -3/+10Assassin's Creed was one of the most enjoyable games I played in a long time. Sure, it was a little too easy for some retard to push you into a guard and ***** your entire plot to leave you to chase after the *****, and the ending was non-existant, but other than that, I kinda dug it.
- inactive, on 07/29/2008, -1/+7Ya. Why isn't Ratchet on that list? Oh wait, it's because people still buy it.
- Glitchwerks, on 07/29/2008, -2/+7The gameplay was very repetitive. You never felt like an assassin, just an errand boy who, once he got some basic puzzles complete, got to watch a cut scene. I could never even stealth kill anyone and why would you bother anyway? I can kill the entire city using counter kills. There's so much about the game that is so great, the atmosphere, the environments, etc. but they didn't do anything with it. I also loved the story to death and even the ending which almost everyone hated. Trying to solve the puzzles was cool, and I'm into conspiracy theories. It's worth $30 for certain. $60, no. I'm looking forward to the sequels.
- Arkz, on 07/29/2008, -0/+5Thank you! finally someone else has said that! man it sucks they're hideous!
oh and in Europe the names for budget games are different, if anyone's wondering they're-
Playstation - Platinum
Nintendo - Players choice
Xbox - Classics - ToddSchishler, on 07/29/2008, -2/+7*grabs marshmallows, graham crackers and a chocolate bar*
This one's about to go up in flames. - bdawg123, on 07/29/2008, -2/+7$30 is a lot of money when you're 12 years old with a $5 a week allowance. Isn't that right, ELCad? Now please be quiet while the grownups talk.
- soundsofreason, on 07/29/2008, -1/+6Let me guess... xbox troll?
- indiancompanion, on 07/29/2008, -0/+5I believe the 360 disk drive is louder than the ps3 one, correct me if I'm wrong.
- solidus636, on 07/29/2008, -0/+5But they also get Ratchet and Clank as a Platinum hit...
- x1soundgarden1x, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4Do you want a cookie? A medal perhaps? How about a good ol' round of applause and gold star? *starts slow clap*.
- soundsofreason, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4"In the music world, a band that is on its way out releases a Greatest Hits when they can't think of any more songs"
You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. - ColinZeal, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4True dat. The yellow ones REALLY suck. They look horrible. Not only is the american better looking, but they´re only 66,7% of the european price. No brainer there.
- superkendall, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4Nothing exclusive worth getting a PS3 over?
Little Big Planet (frankly that's enough right there)
Killzone 2
Resistance 2
Gran Turismo
Not to mention a variety of pretty great PSN titles, like Fat Princess (game of the show at E3) and ratchet & clank miniseries games.
Also from your list, the PS3 is getting Bioshock, and it looks like Mass Effect is also coming to the PS3:

Basically the 360 has Gears now, since Halo is kind of over. The rest of the exclusives are not that much a draw, and lean way heavily on the FPS genre.
. - KingGoonie, on 07/29/2008, -1/+5GTA IV hasn't bored you yet!?!?!? That was a great game... but nowhere near the perfection all the reviews alluded too. Once I beat the game I was done... and multiplayer sucks despite what everyone says. Honestly overal... I think GTA:SA was better.
- quasipolymath, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4That's kind of the point. These games are all older or "on their way out," as you put it. A pan-retail price cut gives fading titles a last boost and prolongs their waning shelf life. Consoles have been doing this with older games since at least last generation. Xbox had "Platinum Hits", PS2 and Gamecube had their equivalent, etc. I wouldn't take this as an implication that the games industry is in any way running out of games to sell.
- iluvatar, on 07/29/2008, -3/+7yeah... failing all the to the bank.
- soundsofreason, on 07/29/2008, -2/+6Your mom has a bit more substance. That's why I'm renting her next month.
- whateverHeSaid, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4@sindex
Apparently not as much as you suck at trolling. - Protoss, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4This obviously isn't your first foray into the console world...Every generation of consoles have had their respective "greatest hits" collections.
- mywhitenoise, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4Save your money for Motorstorm 2...or buy the expansion packs for Warhawk.

In fact I deplore everything gamestop stands for... BUT no one can deny that they are making a metric *****-ton of money, even if it is by taking advantage of innocent, sometimes naive, gamers. - apena89, on 07/29/2008, -1/+4no you *****, it was because I DIDNT have the PS3 anymore.
- apena89, on 07/29/2008, -2/+5I once had a dream (before i got my PS3) that I found $600 cash laying on the ground in the middle of the street, and I picked it up and bought a PS3. I cried a little when I awoke.
:( - soundsofreason, on 07/29/2008, -1/+4Were you not around for the PS2? Greatest hits after a short time did just fine for it in the bode department.
- inactive, on 07/29/2008, -0/+3You know it'll just be the game.
