Then he says that now, those stats are flipped, with the 360 beating the PS3 in market share. - AARGH2K, on 11/01/2007, -2/+13Catch is Sony wanted and needed this game to come out before the holiday season. This is only going to put them even farther behind in market share. What drives game development for your console, yeah that's right. So Sony is looking at smallest share of console market, and hardest console to develop for. MGS and FF series can only do so much, and the longer it takes for them to come out the less impact they will have in the long run.

How many times did Sony say that there was no price cut coming, only to then cut the price 3 days later?? And, how many times did Sony say that Backward Compatibility was always going to be a feature for the PlayStation brand, only to then drop it with the new 40GB model. And how many times did Sony tell us that rumble was a "last-gen" feature that they were moving past, only to then announce the Dual Shock 3 with rumble.
You see, it doesn't matter what people say in this business. Nothing is ever final. I'm not saying that MGS4 is going to FOR SURE come out on 360. MGS I thought was extremely overhyped and overrated, but woudl give it a 7 out of 10... which to me is a good game. MGS2 I may have enjoyed even more, but then again I played it more recently obviously since its newer, and maybe if I went back and played MGS1 again I would like it alot more. Never played Snake Eater, but actually... maybe I should pick it up since most places have it for 10 bucks.
I mean I do think its a good series, just not GREAT in my opinion, its just not my thing, but again I do enjoy it.
And I wasn't being a dick, I honesly though that the damn release was always late 2008 officially as well. - xOpifex, on 11/03/2007, -8/+17I bought a Wii on launch night and I haven't touched it in months. My PS3 on the other hand gets played every day. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Let me list what I've bought since July for PS3. Ninja Gaiden Sigma, GRAW2, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Eye of Judgement, PSN Poker, PSN Super Stardust. And that's not including the games I'd like to have. That's just what I can afford. I'd still like to pick up Ratchet and Clank, DirT, COD4, & Guitar Hero3. The only game I've bought for my Wii in the same period is Metroid. And in all honestly it's not that good.
- coheedcollapse, on 11/01/2007, -1/+9Exact opposite for me. I haven't played the Wii any great length of time since Metroid Prime 3 (and there was a large gap of time between Warioware and that). I think that's the same for most people. I know 360 took over in many xbox owners' lives.
My friends don't even play theirs anymore. We drag it out maybe once every three weeks to play a game of Mario Party 8, but aside from that, nothing. It's lost its novelty. - KrustyTClown, on 11/01/2007, -1/+8it's been done already

Besides, I haven't even purchased the console yet (no games worth it yet!)... ehe... but to be honest, I never expected it any time soon. Whenever MGS4 is mentioned in friendly discussions, me and my friends always threat it as the late savior of the Playstation 3. In other words, it's no news that it will be out near-too-late... but if the reason really does end up to be "because it's going multi-platform", then OUCH.

They would be fools not to port it to the 360. Just look at the sales numbers for Halo 3 and Heavenly Sword as great examples of how big name titles sell relatively on each console. - navster15, on 11/01/2007, -2/+8Did anyone really expect this game to make its winter time frame?
