They have already dropped the price $100 after 7 months, and now another $100 is due next month, not to mention the Motorstorm and Resistance bundles. That is 1/3 of the price in less than a year.
Also, weak sales for Sony in the US means 120,000 a month. Weak sales for the 360 in Japan means 12,000 a month. Thats a big difference in weak sales. Like the ability to replace the hard drive with any off the shelf 2.5" laptop drive? Or a 3.5" drive if you don't care if the drive is outside the box. What about adding and using any USB harddrive? The Playstation 3 does all of these things. - wageslaven, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2The price isnt the only problem. The dreadful library is killing them too. The lack of compelling online features. Lack of Mutli-Media features and the myriad of coming non-game value-adds from MS (say, Internet TV and "XNA-Tube").
MS is out pacing Sony badly. Even if the prices were the same, Xbox 360 still has far more to offer. - zioxide, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2It's probably like the euro ones, where they dropped the hardware backwards compatibility but it still has software backwards compatibility.
