http://ps3mods.blogspot.com/2007/12/gran-turismo-5 ... - silverwolfe, on 12/12/2007, -1/+23***** gorgeous.
- UbIwerks, on 12/12/2007, -1/+20How much virtual wax did they put on those cars!?!
- invectivelover, on 12/12/2007, -4/+20I'm hard.
Not ashamed either. - intricate, on 12/12/2007, -1/+14Actually they really do. I recently played this and I was absolutely amazed at how good the cars and background looked.
- EvanVolm, on 12/12/2007, -1/+14Crap. Too late to edit. I meant to link this:
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/28748.html - rssolo23, on 12/12/2007, -2/+14Not even close?
Welcome to 2007, my friend. - ZenMojo, on 12/12/2007, -1/+13That ad for Kane & Lynch made me appreciate GT5 even more.
- noseeme, on 12/12/2007, -1/+12*considers never making fun of the PS3 again*
- melondoc, on 12/12/2007, -2/+12I would love to look at the screenshots but that crappy Wii ad keeps playing over the top
- INTERNETMASTER, on 12/12/2007, -2/+9best graphics in any racer ever confirmed. nothing else comes close!
- sinfony, on 12/12/2007, -7/+14Show me a picture of a damaged car in GT and I'll start to care.
- inactive, on 12/12/2007, -1/+7The London track looks amazing.
- Dracusis, on 12/12/2007, -0/+6Lets see if you can, oh, do a google search before you post ***** next time. These screens are from GT5 Prologue, which ships in Japan tomorrow.
- vinht426, on 12/12/2007, -0/+5you xbots need to learn how to be subtle with your jealousy.. its very apparent to us all
- gordmoo, on 12/12/2007, -1/+6thats the nice things about cars, so much money gets put into understanding the paintwork and making sure that robots can make the parts via schematics that they are very easy to re-produce in 3D graphics hardware. indeed most car adverts these days are computer generated and you wouldn't even know.
- roxya, on 12/12/2007, -0/+5If I saw a Ferarri 599 driving past me in real life, I'd find it plenty breathtaking.
- cyrix, on 12/12/2007, -2/+7Proof please? Else....stfu.....
- oyourmom, on 12/12/2007, -2/+7Yes.
- Virgule, on 12/12/2007, -0/+4Take that, Forza!
- dsmx, on 12/12/2007, -0/+4Odd comment I seem to remember a lot of xbox 360 fanboys saying when PGR came out recently it would make GT5 look like crap, then we go back to GT4 on the ps2 that had better car models than anything the xbox ever had. Polyphony are the best developers when it comes to getting brilliant graphics out of hardware and if you think that the xbox 360 will ever get anything that can compete with that your going to be waiting a very long time.
- ItsMyWii, on 12/12/2007, -1/+5Holy. *****. I know what console I want this Christmas.
- cyrix, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3I've played prologue. And from what I've seen so far the frame rates are pretty damn stable and smooth.
- BearinG, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3They are computer graphics.
- terencec, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3yes it was in one of the other screenshots shown before
- Proctor, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3Holy *****. There's so much detail down to the Chromatic Abbreation of the camera lens :D
- thecheatah, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3Are you serious? The demo looked AMAZING in 1080p. Your obviously a fanboy and dont have the ability to appreciate quality.
You are useless! - Mysrt, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3F1 doesnt race in america, last year's race in indy was the last one. And actually the only formula one race that takes place in a city is monaco
- Jeffler, on 12/12/2007, -1/+4The game is out tomorrow in Japan, they aren't going to lie NOW of all times.
- GTPro, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3No surprise here. Kazunori Yamauchi has always been a perfectionist when it comes to designing games for the Gran Turismo series. This is clearly no exception.
- schoate09, on 12/12/2007, -1/+4I have a 360, not a PS3. I'll readily say this game looks sweet. However, I will attest that, Forza 2 does more than enough to fill my void for racing, as I'm not a big fan of the genre. But if you like racing games, PS3/GT5 are the obvious choice.
- Mysrt, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3um if i saw ferraris racing through the streets of london in real life that would be pretty breathtaking. And about the fake part, it's a hell of alot cheaper this way to get closer to the experience than ever before.
- altaknight, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3Or open the screenshot window, then scroll down the screen until it's not showing... even so, I agree, retarded ad.
- Jayeugene, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2zipped 'em all....
http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=downl ... - redxxx, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Apparently they've got Daytona International as one of the tracks. I recognized from one of the pictures pretty much right away, though I had no idea it was going to be in the game. Quite cool, cause I live a few miles from it, even if it isn't all that great a track.
- hightower77, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2On this one, yes.
- GTPro, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Graphic-wise, you are correct. However, the series focuses on providing not only a good-looking 'game' but a 'real driving simulator' simulator, meaning Polyphony Digital focus on all the core areas needed, particularly the in-game physics, not just graphics. I assume by this statement that you've played 360's Forza Motorsport which is, at the minute, considered a direct competitor to the GT series. However, I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a more realistic simulation of vehicles dynamics than that found within Gran Turismo.
- Altron21, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2the z4 is in the game
- BearinG, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2But still a PS3 douche asking for it..
- BearinG, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2And if you are playing the game properly and oversteer in the dog leg and slam in the wall, you should not be "good to go"
Wait til you play online, you will see how "properly" people play - gavroche, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2I dont give a ***** about his penis either. How come you do?
- vinht426, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2hes not asking for it, just expecting it
- ours, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, what a waste K&L. Doesn't come close to the Hitman series made by the same devs. It plays and looks unfinished. Like they dropped 6 months of work.
- johnmalc, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Often Ferrari owners don't know the first thing about driving. The machines are outrageous, but the venture capitalists behind the wheel can't find an apex for the life of them. There was a 360 Modena at a BMW track day in Watkins Glen; it finally got black flagged for being such a hazard on the course.
- hightower77, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2DD FTW!
- ronfez, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Destruction Derby had damage heavily implemented 12 years ago
- samdu, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Done: http://www.gamersyde.com/news_5645_en.html
- thecheatah, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2First thing you need to do is stop reading the crap on the internet and get warhawk.
- punchinelli, on 12/12/2007, -1/+3I'll get excited when the tracks don't look like Mario Kart compared to the cars, a supercharged, V8 Camaro doesn't sound like a Honda Civic riceburner, and the cars have actual damage - all of this is coming from a massive GT fan.......
- grumbel, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Dirt had pretty realistic crashes. Beside even the most crappy damage model would be a lot more realistic then the bumper car physics that GT featured in the past.
I really don't see the point of not having one, so instead of having something that might not look perfect, we get something that looks utterly ridiculous. -
