- Responder656, on 10/28/2007, -4/+57The first PS3-exclusive IP to recieve a 9/10 average. Good job, Insomniac.
http://www.metacritic.com/games/ps3/scores/ - flyinghigh91, on 11/07/2007, -5/+46This is going to be a jaw dropping game!
- Hyde69, on 10/28/2007, -8/+47its about time PS3 got a good exclusive
I am a 360 fanboy, but competition is good for everybody, right now that competition seems lopsided (i don't count wii) and its nice to see ps3 get a solid game
solid ps3 sales = better games for everybody - Sedako, on 11/07/2007, -2/+41The guy on Gamespot that gave this a 7.5 is pretty much the site's dedicated sports game reviewer... In fact, he said this recently on his blog: "I have never played Half-Life or Half-Life 2." Why the ***** would they allow a dimwit like this to review big releases?
- CReyes4182, on 10/28/2007, -9/+46Wasn't the reviewer considered a 360 fanboy? If it flipped him it must be good.
- drizzlelicious, on 10/26/2007, -4/+38Gamespot gave it a 7.5. Its reviews are really starting to suck. It gave Skate a 7.0. Guess I'm going to start reading IGN
- felman87, on 10/24/2007, -4/+34That's quite a bit from IGN. I was expecting a high 80s.
- EDmAN, on 10/28/2007, -2/+30Does this make anyone else excited about Resistance: Fall of Man 2? I mean Insomniac seems to be the only company to get PS3 right yet... Naughty Dog might be next Uncharted is looking good... R&C tomorrow, can't wait...
- kenvsryu, on 10/26/2007, -2/+27Not sure why the other review got buried here. Hopefully this one stays afloat.
- spoiled1, on 10/26/2007, -0/+24There are so many things you would love about this game, but one thing I love most is making your enemies dance. That is just classic.
- Insomniac33, on 10/24/2007, -1/+22"Good job, Insomniac."
Don't mention it! :) - RooDoG, on 10/24/2007, -2/+23Play some Warhawk!
- goldfenix, on 10/26/2007, -7/+25Thank you Jeebus! I can finally stop using my PS3 for crunching protein strands and play some games on it!
- scotthew1, on 10/24/2007, -9/+27cuz digg is filled w/ xbots?
- computerdave, on 10/26/2007, -4/+21This game is why I want a PS3
- nphp20, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1510.0 scales are really just 100 point scales in disguise.
- maxsunset, on 10/26/2007, -3/+17This generation or last, you can't really compare R&C to Zelda. They are radically different types of games.
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -3/+17You could always suck ***** for the money. Get your priorities in order son. Maybe then you'd stop crying at night.
- Incosian, on 10/24/2007, -3/+15Gamespot has really gone downhill. They've been reduced to a bunch of 360 fanboys under the guise of professional game critics.
- samdu, on 10/24/2007, -0/+12Yes. This definitely makes me anxious to see Rise of Man. R&C looks noticeably better than Fall of Man, and they're both built on the same engine. More tweaking to the engine should make for a great looking sequel to FoM.
- chriskzoo, on 10/28/2007, -2/+13The guy gave The Bigs for PSP a better score than RAtchet and has NEVER given a game over an 8.5 in over 150 reviews. Hard to please - why is he a gamer again?
- iRoy, on 10/24/2007, -0/+10Yeah Insomniac has some serious experience with the PS3. They've probably had the first SDK's considering their close relationship with Sony. Expect nothing but the best from them, they are hard at work on R:FoM 2. I am really hoping for an expanded online component and more awesome unlockables.
- samdu, on 10/25/2007, -1/+11Check out the metacritic and gamerankings composite scores. This is not an abberation. It's a great game.
- santasing, on 10/24/2007, -1/+10Because it seems like the first one is off the front page. So, a better question is why are so many people burying a perfectly good story.
- staticneuron, on 10/24/2007, -5/+14really? you mean nowhere near the amount of bioshock and halo 3 right?
- strictnein, on 10/25/2007, -1/+10Gamespot is like that for pretty much every game. Their review formula: wait until everyone has posted their review, take the average, subtract 10-15%.
- samdu, on 10/24/2007, -0/+9Ummm... no.
- Dracusis, on 11/05/2007, -2/+10Note to self, stop readin Digg comments, they're all a bunch of whining *****
- MrFettuccine, on 10/26/2007, -2/+10I'm not surprised at this review. Insomniac hasn't messed up with a R&C game yet. It is one of my favorite series. That will probably be the first game I'll get when I get a PS3. This is one of the main reasons I'll be get a PS3 instead of a 360. R&C will never be able to go on another console.
- BattleScars, on 10/25/2007, -0/+7Mario Galaxy? Never heard of it.
- mythicflux, on 10/29/2007, -0/+7The demo was pretty fun. I love the groov-i-tron.
- pegisys, on 10/25/2007, -4/+11it's a remake like resident evil for the gamecube
- Sedako, on 10/24/2007, -1/+81up gave it an 8.5, which is still pretty damn good. Gamespot made a stupid decision in picking their reviewer, not to mention that they're generally biased against the PS3 as it is.
- samdu, on 10/24/2007, -1/+8Wait a couple of weeks and it will be.
- Sedako, on 10/24/2007, -4/+11Gamespot seems pretty anti-PS3 as of late. They are those lowest scoring reviewer by a full 1.0 according to metacritic:
http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/ratc ... - Dracusis, on 10/25/2007, -2/+8It's gamespot... enough said.
I've never liked their sites. - Dracusis, on 10/24/2007, -2/+8^^^ I wish more Wii60 fans would realise this. ^^^
- MaddGIJoe, on 10/25/2007, -0/+6Sorta both...
- reed311, on 10/25/2007, -2/+8It probably got buried because they knew it would result in a different review making the front page every couple of hours. It was annoying when it happened with Bioshock and Halo 3, and it will be annoying when it happens with this game. One story is fine: a link to metacritic or gamerankings.
People submit these stories as if they get commission based upon how well the game was reviewed. - rusty123jimi, on 10/25/2007, -1/+7Im glad to hear this kind of news for sony! :) The needed something like this! Never Been a big fan of the game series, but I really enjoyed the demo!
- whateverHeSaid, on 10/25/2007, -1/+7I could have sworn Resistance: Fall of Man was over 90 as well, at least up until a couple of weeks ago.
- iRoy, on 10/25/2007, -3/+8Yeah, I once sucked a dick for coke.
- smhTheory, on 10/24/2007, -6/+11If you were to buy a ps3 right now you would have no shortage of exclusive gaming goodness, both already out and on the way in the next 8 weeks. between those and all of the quality pc titles set to launch in the coming weeks i dont know how i'll find the time to play them all.
- sadilak, on 10/25/2007, -0/+5You dont even own a PS3.Stop lying. Didn't your teacher tell you that lying is bad.
- tastypastry, on 10/24/2007, -4/+9It's a great Blu Ray player too, assuming you have a HDTV.
- AceLy, on 10/25/2007, -1/+5I always thought they were really biased before then.
- Sedako, on 10/24/2007, -3/+7Wrong, just because it's rated E doesn't mean it's targeted primarily at children. There is a lot of humor in the R&C series that most children probably wouldn't even pick up on. Aaron is hardly suited to review a release of this magnitude, and that shows in his review of it. Jeff Gerstmann would have been a much better choice, considering he reviewed the previous R&C titles and has a lot more experience reviewing a wide variety of games.
- blueelement15, on 10/24/2007, -3/+7God forbid the game isn't as good as its advertising. If all you want are reviews that meet your expectations, I don't see why you read reviews at all.
- maci01, on 10/25/2007, -1/+5Ton more like 50 bucks?
- kenvsryu, on 10/24/2007, -1/+5Skate's controls are awesome - even thought I hate EA.
