- BigLou, on 07/01/2009, -2/+30Flower is one of the most gorgeous games I've ever seen. So simple and serene.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 07/01/2009, -4/+32"The PlayStation Network doesn't have the regular release schedule of Xbox Live Arcade or WiiWare"
?!?!
PSN is updated with new stuff every Thursday. Just because each week does not include some ultra-cool top tier game does not mean there's no regular release schedule... Same goes for 360 and WiiWare... - nkap, on 07/01/2009, -2/+25Simply put, Flower is perfect. Game design at its best. I urge anyone with a PS3 to grab it: you will not be disappointed.
- BooYeah, on 07/01/2009, -3/+25Fat Princess is coming soon too...
- sevendeuce, on 07/01/2009, -5/+23ignorance thrives in regard to the ps3
- mywhitenoise, on 07/01/2009, -2/+17uh....Warhawk!?
Does that not count cause it's a disc based game? Regardless, that should be number 1, I'd put it in my top 3 PS3 games overall. What about Ratchet and Clank Quest For Booty? I'd replace that with one of the lower ranked games. - frostydf2, on 07/01/2009, -4/+18Really? No flOw or Blast Factor?
- RandyTheFool, on 07/01/2009, -2/+15" The PlayStation Network doesn't have the regular release schedule of Xbox Live Arcade or WiiWare"
Huh? Maybe I just don't understand the statement here, but doesn't PSN do newly released stuff every Thursday? - chriskzoo, on 07/01/2009, -2/+15I would digg you up 10 times if I could. Now back to Eden.
- wigenite, on 07/01/2009, -2/+14It seems warhawk always gets left out. When people talk about disc based games, warhawk gets dismissed because it's "technically a PSN game"
When people talk about PSN games it gets dismissed because its "technically a Disk/retail game"
Warhawk was what got me to buy a ps3. I played it at a friends house and for the longest time my ps3 was my "warhawkbox" - superkendall, on 07/01/2009, -1/+13The one I keep coming back to is Eden. That's a fantastic game, great music and visuals.
- sevendeuce, on 07/01/2009, -4/+15wtf !?! why are you blaming SONY for an IGN article
- Ajajadude, on 07/01/2009, -2/+12Warhawk was the first game I ever downloaded from PSN. Can't say I regret that choice.
- ThaDRD, on 07/01/2009, -2/+12Wipeout HD is a stunning display of what the PS3 can do and makes all other racers (read: Gran Turismo) seem slow in comparison.
- Shazbuckle, on 07/01/2009, -6/+16I know it's probably not considered PSN exclusive, but I'm so happy FFVII was released on the PSN not so long ago!
- Kbriggs, on 07/01/2009, -3/+12You and 100,000 other people.
- chriskzoo, on 07/01/2009, -2/+10Seems like one of those "I don't really understand the PS3, but I know it's cool to trash it" statements - kind of like Fox News bashers who hate it, but never watch it.
- sameer768, on 07/01/2009, -2/+10If you live in Europe, and you havn't got Super Stardust HD I highly recommend getting it before Thursday, as they have lowered the price to £1.59 for a limited time. It is an amazingly addictive game; lots of fun.
- Jellyhead512, on 07/01/2009, -3/+11Wish they would get VIII and IX too!
- JollyDumple, on 07/01/2009, -1/+8I don't know if they really count as PSN exclusive games, but Warhawk and Siren are both amazing.
- TangentThought, on 07/01/2009, -1/+8Yup. Every Thursday. Not sure what the guy was saying here.
- kingmanic, on 07/01/2009, -2/+8oye.. I own 8 of these. The PSN does have some very nice deep games. Burn zombie burn is also a great smash TV clone.
- chaosblade77, on 07/01/2009, -2/+8Apparently Microsoft does too, since they are clearly willing to pay for even time exclusivity.
- drenath, on 07/01/2009, -1/+7WipEoutHD is the reason I bought PS3. I think any lack of popularity is due to the game's difficulty and the lack of your average gamer's appetite for challenge.
- n0t0kayipr0mis3, on 07/01/2009, -1/+6Calling All Cars is also a really fun game.
- Ashkc88, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5It is on the 360. "Lumines Live"
- BinaryDelt, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5Pixeljunk Monsters rules.
- thatonekid393, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5Agreed. I went into it not knowing what to expect, and it absolutely stunned me.
- frostydf2, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5I enjoyed all of the Pixel Junk games. Pixel Junk Monsters was my favorite though.
- milomilomilo, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5The new billiards game coming out for the ps3 looks amazing.
I wish we were getting it on the 360 because bankshot billiards 2 sucks, and the only other pool game is the snooker tournament game from 07'. - inactive, on 07/01/2009, -2/+6The HD version of Critter Crunch on the PS3 is ***** epic.
Also, is it wrong that the games I enjoy most on the PS3 and 360 are arcade titles?
And another thing... I miss arcades. - PrometheusZero, on 07/01/2009, -1/+5Critter Crunch HD and Fat Princess, fantastic PSN exclusives to watch out for!
- johnTheQ, on 07/01/2009, -2/+5THE... LAST... GUY....!
- sneakyness, on 07/01/2009, -4/+7Lumines is available on every other platform. Some new skins/songs being exclusive isn't that big of a deal these days.
- sfcaptainrob, on 07/01/2009, -1/+4I love Burn Zombie Burn. Been playing it pretty regularly lately.
- imikedaman, on 07/01/2009, -3/+6But you can play Cuboid online (considering it ripped off an online game) and Echochrome on the PSP.
- Dougman82, on 07/01/2009, -1/+4Too bad the hot chick didn't get more camera time.
- tech9, on 07/01/2009, -2/+5i'm hoping they will bring out xenogears
- sm4k, on 07/01/2009, -1/+4It is on PC and 360.
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -0/+3I play on the 360 sorry.
Its away red ringed at the mo but should you ever be online on xbox live (at a friends house for example) feel free to send me a msg and we will play.
I use the same name, and my vega (yes, that's right) is tight. - NiceGuyVan, on 07/01/2009, -2/+5"Exclusives are ***** lame because they only benefit the hardware manufacturer"
And the game developer since they can make the game more optimized than a multiplatform game, and the game takes better advantage of the hardware as a result. Multiplatform game = divided resources
And the gamers because they get a better game - staticneuron, on 07/01/2009, -3/+5it came out on a disc but that doesn't mean it is a disc based game. It pretty much installs everything to HDD and uses the Blu ray for verification. The same thing goes for Socom, Siren, and GT5P. They are all network based games with the option of getting them on disc.
- qwerty1263, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2missing the best game on the network...PAIN. the game keeps on giving. GTI racing game also pretty good as well and the bowling game was pretty good too.
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -1/+3Yeah the dual shock is a better pad for fighters (dual shock II is better than III for fighters...) but the actual fight pads capcom + madcatz released are much much better than either.
Of course I play with a stick, being as I am, better than you in every way, shape and form. - Royish, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3Optimized meaning what? A few more frames per second? Slightly more detail?
Not worth it at all. It's better to have more people playing your games. - DarthVolta, on 07/01/2009, -3/+5Cuboid is also playable online (I'm sure under a number of different names). I played it as Boxorz - it's very fun, and very addicting.
- guybrush3000, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3after checking this article I downloaded Flower and i've been playing it all day. The visuals combined with the feel of it is like a drug
- chaosblade77, on 07/01/2009, -0/+2F-Zero would like a word with you. Actually, WipeoutHD is faster at the higher Zone modes (Phantom to Subsonic is roughly on par with F-Zero's speeds, KPH for KPH) but in terms of standard gameplay (ie normal races), F-Zero GX is faster.
But those two series, and possibly a few others that I don't know about, really don't compare to standard racing games. I find normal racing games boring, but love me some Wipeout and F-Zero. Hopefully we get F-Zero Wii using a slightly updated GX engine. - TriNiiTy, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2Braid FTW
- TriNiiTy, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2Twisted Metal anyone?
