I don't see how any single player game can have that high of a lasting appeal...it's really hard to be shocked by plot twists the second time through.

Its easy to tell the developers spent a lot of time with the game graphically, but the stories were way to redundant and similar with the previous GTA's. And the alternate endings were *****. The last missions of both endings were practically the same thing!

  • mywhitenoise, on 05/30/2008, -1/+15That's actually not that bad considering MGS was probably about 60% cutscenes, MGS2 was about 85% (I might even say 90%) cutscenes. I haven't played MGS3 in a long time, but it had a good balance.
    We don't know if it's actually 50/50, since it's just one guys review, another review said it was 1/3 cutscenes.

  • TheWorm, on 05/31/2008, -6/+18Seems like it's a trend on Digg to hate the really popular game after the attention dies down a little..I'm surprised by how many people on here are saying GTA didn't deserve the scores it got..Have you spent some time playing the game? The detail and work that were put into that game is why it deserves to be considered a near perfect game. Plus it's fun and interesting unlike many of the generic stories that have come out recently.
