- mace2, on 10/10/2007, -1/+28Make a new Twisted Metal game and I'll run and buy a PS3.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+31aha. At first, there were NOTHING but negative PS3 stories and if anyone mentioned ANYTHING positive about a PS3, they were dugg down. Blueray was also going to fail miserably, FOR A FACT, because betamax did, etc. Now, most PS3 news that reaches the front pages, are somewhat positive at least and everyone predicts Bluray will certainly win the format war, while HD DVD will die a horrible death, for certain. I don't care either way, just thought I'd point that out, because I find it humorous.
- nreynolds, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21his new studio doesn't own the rights to God of War....
- walnoj, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16You're really stupid. You know that, right?
- grat2001, on 10/10/2007, -4/+18I could care less about the exclusive part...3 more games is what makes me happy!
- Segitz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Neither does the other studio, the rights are Sony's
- WhereAmI, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13I saw it coming.
- Deeaannooo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13God of war is a huge franchise on PS2, http://vgchartz.com/worldtotals.php?name=god+of+war&console=&publisher=&sort=Total, over 4.5 million worldwide!
- Responder656, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2007/07/17/rumor-twisted-metal-ps3-hinted-at-in-clownsplosion/#c6011031
- dillona, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11Last I checked, that has nothing to do with the article and you just want to be a PS3/Console hater.
- wedges, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1107-08 is looking good for PS3... this, combined with things from SCEA, Naughty Dog, and UT3 keyboard/mouse is making next weeks purchase even more certain.
- jacksons98, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Why not? 1 was great, 2 was even better, I'm okay going for a third time around
- wedges, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10and without the limited offer, it's still 499
besides, 360 elite (479) + wireless (99) + HDDVD (179) = $757 - evozero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9one or two will probably be PSN titles.
- amrush4th, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Eat Sleep Play...ESP...PS3 get it?
- jdaniel284, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Another nail in the 360 coffin. Good riddance, you damn dirty 360 ape.
- TangentThought, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7What a clever coincidence.
- walnoj, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5No, I mean you're ***** stupid. David Jaffe is a former long-time Sony producer. As in, Sony funded his projects. They also signed his paycheck. He recently opened his own studio called Eat Sleep Play. As of right now, it's Sony-funded as well. Of course Jaffe's going to make projects for the PlayStation 3. You dumb-ass. Maybe you ought to know what you're talking about before you write stupid ***** like that. And my "$600 paperweight" gets more use than almost anything else I own, save for my car and iMac.
- LvsSocer, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7That's nice, considering its not the price (at least in the US) --
how about $350 (http://www.destructoid.com/playstation-3-for-only-350-with-limited-time-offer-37677.phtml) to $500? - X18999, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5yeah, but fortunately PSN titles can be full games
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Twisted Metal Online should be a great game, about time Sony starts getting some excellent games that aren't ports
- YouRookies, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4And before you xbots digg him down, THAT WAS A JOKE.
- AvidPreatorian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1PS3 is gaining more ground worldwide. With games such as these and the hardware which is build for years, Sony made a great call by introducing blueray and the cell along with a huge hard drive. When the PS2 came out all these years ago, critics claimed that a CD had more than enough memory, now look at the world and its DVD standard. Innovation is hard to see, especially for Halo fans - that game hasn't changed since the first installment. Sad. PS/Linux/Mac for Life.
- dionusos, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The 80GB isn't selling because the 60GB is available for $100 less. Duh. Once that option is gone people will have to buy the 80GB.
- explodey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I think the next Twisted Metal (TM: head-on) is for PS2
- errictshunn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Last I checked PC gaming was on it's death bed.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Not sure, but this is the guy who wanted to make a PSP game where the People's Liberation Army invades the US.
Someone on digg described it as "a project that an angsty teen who just heard about the rape of Nanking would be involved in"
Not surprisingly, Sony quickly *****-canned the idea. - explodey, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0I take it you don't have 360 either. Elite+WiFi+Controller Battery+ HDDVD > $700.00. And still, no where near as powerful
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+4This is a shock? It's not like God of War wasn't an exclusive to begin with. This is like Bungie saying they are coming out with a new game that's a 360 exclusive.
- mandarin, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1What an ego...
- makemeweak, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0He previously stated that he would be developing three exclusive titles for the PS2, has that changed?
- errictshunn, on 10/10/2007, -3/+0Do not kid yourself. Once the PS3 60gb are gone the boost in sales will end. Look at the sales charts the 80GB model is NOT selling. The Price cut helped a little bit for a short time but PS3 will be outsold by 360 and Wii again in August. (I think the PS3 outsold 360 in July.) And Honestly for what's in the box the PS3 is a WAY better deal, But These systems are gaming machines and right now 360 has the best games.
- KidVicious, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Eh, I don't think either standard is going to win any format war, at least for many years. In moving from VHS to DVD there were a lot of reasons to switch, like extra features and ease of use, as well as size. It was either analog cassette or digital disc. Now it's a digital disc or a slightly better, but incredibly similar and much more expensive digital disc. I think the majority of consumers are going to stick with good old DVD until the new players become a lot cheaper.
- samfishercell, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1Would that be the 'pointing out the obvious' kind of stupid, or the 'I shelled out 600$ for a dust-collecting paperweight' kind of stupid?
You can say it's stupid all you want, but more and more PS3 "exclusives" jumped ship when the designers and publishers realized they'd have a hard time selling enough copies. But I don't expect this tiny shred of truth to see the light of day seeing as how anything even slightly anti-PS3 is quickly buried in this topic...meanwhile a teaser image for a PSP to PS2 port is being danced around for its supposed ps3 connection.
Stupid, huh? Hmmm.. - Dracusis, on 10/10/2007, -5/+0From the makers of Twisted Metal and God of War...
Sounds promising, but they haven't really given us much to go on so no Digg from me. I'll wait until they announce something about the games themselves, for all we know they could be sucky casual PSN titles. - loganhid, on 10/10/2007, -9/+4You'll buy one anyway Muhahahahahahahhhhhaaaaaaaaa
- YouRookies, on 10/10/2007, -9/+3People also thought the Wii wasn't going to do as good as it now. Almost 1 year later and it's still impossible to see it at your store shelves.
- Animal, on 10/10/2007, -11/+1I have my doubts about the 'exclusive' part anyway. It seems that most games that are announced as exclusive end up being timed exclusives and eventually find their way to other platforms.
And what's the deal with "The three new games will either be on Blu-ray disc or as downloadable titles..."
Am I the only one who finds that phrase a bit odd? - MaximegalonInfo, on 10/10/2007, -13/+2Last I checked, the PC had a lot more exclusives.
- Graemebru, on 10/10/2007, -12/+0He forgot to add that the titles would only be exclusive for 4 days, because Sony paid them 50 Million. then they will be ported to PC, 360, Wii,PSP,DS,PS2, and Atari 2600
- cnycompguy, on 10/10/2007, -16/+3all the exclusives in the world wont make me pay 700 bucks for a console.
- berb, on 10/10/2007, -18/+5Hopefully it's something new. GoW 1 and 2 were both really good, but another game following the same exact formula wouldn't exactly warrant another $60 purchase.
- Kdog22, on 10/10/2007, -17/+3"and will focus heavily on multiplayer"... That doesn't sound like God of War 3.... that makes me a sad panda...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -19/+4I never really like God of War... So not much of a loss to me! Still never gonna buy a ps3!...
- AwesomeMonster, on 10/10/2007, -21/+4Isn't this the same guy who had a ***** fit because calling all cars didn't get amazing reviews?
- CornStarch, on 10/10/2007, -22/+2a man who's traditionally developed PS3 exclusives is going to continue to develop PS3 exclusives... what's the news?
- samfishercell, on 10/10/2007, -25/+3Proof this man is insane: thinking he can recoup development costs by making games exclusive to the PS3.
Either that or he's getting a nice little check from Sony....
