Bottom line is, a good game is a good game, regardless of platform. If it winds up being great, its not the PS3 that will make it great... just like the 360 didn't make Gears of War great... Epic did.

Everyone has always agreed that MGS is one of the best games series around, yet now most old PS2 owners have Xbox360s they are dismissing MGS4 as mediocre over-cinematic games. Fanboys.

In your cause you are coming into the Metal Gear Solid 4 review which has nothing to do with the Xbox 360 that you proved your love for so what other conclusion can be derived from your comment? 1. That you hate the MGS series and 2. You wish it was on the 360 just so that no one waiting on MGS would buy a PS3.

I spent the last month going through the MGS Essential Collection and am now on Portable Ops. I will say, that I now totally understand what was happening now in MGS2 than when I played a MGS2 for the first time when it came out on Xbox having never played MGS1... when I played it then, it was for the enjoyment of playing the game, when I played it again after playing MGS1, it all made sense and made it that much better. So do yourself a favor and read up on the story on Wiki or something, or you'll be missing a lot.

- staticneuron, on 05/13/2008, -0/+8I am sorry. As much as I like certain PS3 games (uncharted and R&C) I seriously thought that 7 was fair enough for resistance. It did have some interesting weapons and some clean graphics but nothing mindblowing, it had poor pacing, a somewhat weak story and the gameplay felt rather average.
