      if you look at europe (excluding UK and Australia) then the PS3 has always outsold the 360. However, the PS3 has been selling well in both the UK and Australia now, so.....
      Ah hell, I don't know. Nor do I really care since I cashed out my Sony stock after not seeing any gains even after the BluRay won the format war. Stupid economic recession.

So the digg title is misleading. The PS3 has now more consoles sold in europe (including UK, as this article is from the BBC news). And the month-to-month sales have favored the PS3 for a long time.

Australia is not big enough to warrant its own sales category (ie Japan/Asia, North America, Europe) and trend-wise it is closer to Europe than the Asian countries so it is thrown in with Europe sales data.

No one saw that coming.)

  So since you say everyone already owns a 360..........that means there are people in europe buying more than one ps3 - makes sense

  It's absolute BS that GTA is selling 2 to 1 on X360, most sites are claiming X360 is selling a bit more overall, but the attach rate is higher on PS3.
