  • nascentia, on 06/14/2008, -0/+2I don't get why it has to be one system or another. They're different, and I think they all have strengths and weaknesses. All three have excellent exclusives (Wii: Zelda, Mario, etc.; PS3: MGS, FF, Gran Turismo, Tekken; 360: Gears of War, Halo, Forza) and unique abilities (motion sensing, Blu-Ray, Xbox Live.)

    I remember reading an opinion piece at one time saying that fanboy-ism and console wars came about because you'd have teens saving all summer to buy their ONE system, and they'd defend their purchase to the death. I think this still holds true.

    Now that I have a career and can afford whatever I want, I don't care who makes it - I just want the games.

    I have a 360 and I LOVE it - I'm addicted to the achievements system, and there are just a ton of great games that I personally like. Until now, I've held off on a PS3 because the games that -I- enjoy haven't come out yet.

    That changes today. I'm getting a PS3 (just for MGS4 now, heh. Maybe Resistance if I get a lot of trade-in credit.) Do I care which console "wins" or is "better"? No. I just care that kick-ass games are made for both.
