Haven't figured out the logistics of black out drunk and work yet... but I'm sure it will work itself out.

I like "real" games too but I greatly enjoy interactive stories like this, especially if they have a lot of paths you can take.

It's not a series of "press X to not die", it's more like a branching series of choices and actions and if you actually miss, the scene adapts itself instead of a fail-restart routine. It looks seriously incredible.

First 10 hours I absolutely hated that game... I wanted to burn the disc and throw my slim out the window. Fortunately, I pressed on and now I'm about 52 hours into it and I simply can't get enough. Once you get the proper gear and level up, you can pretty much walk around and destroy anything in your path (almost).
I'm sporting a leveled Bone Crusher and Tower Shield, so don't invade my game cause I've left a pile of bodies on the floor from the poor cats that tried before you. - Slust, on 10/22/2009, -0/+7Maybe I'm not far enough in Demon's Souls (just got it last night and beat Phalanx) but there was no losing your gear that I had seen...
If you're living, and you die, you go into Soul Form and have half of your HP. As well, you leave a "bloodstain" (corpse) that you need to fight your way back to (everything respawns if you die or leave an area) that you can loot for the souls you had when you died.
However, if you die again, you can only have one bloodstain (as I found out the hard way =/) so yeah, it is pretty ***** hardcore. But it's not EverQuest hardcore!
It feels so good, though... It is like finding out that you totally dug being the submissive to a dominatrix this whole time, you just didn't know it. - TheUngod, on 10/22/2009, -0/+6Just got Demon's Souls. It's the hardest thing I ever played, but it's true that it makes it rewarding. It's almost a roguelike in many ways.

- nickert0n, on 10/22/2009, -0/+6I agree, Uncharted 2 is by far the best game ive played this gen and I have played all the "big" ones on all platforms. The gameplay, graphics, story, and the technical feats they do in that game are just top notch. I cant recommend it more.

It's sad that I'm probably going to have to buy Madagascar karts for my kart racing needs since there isnt anything else. Sonic has a kart racer coming out but thats not for another 5 months.
I heard PS1's Crash Team racing was on the Playstation Network and was going to get that but then found out that its only for the Euro and japan PSNs, lame. -
