diggtris - Play Tetris based on Digg

kyyhkynen.net — A Tetris-like game based on dugg stories. The size and color of the blocks depend on the category the story belongs to and the total number of diggs the story has.

    Very cool implementation of the digg interface. Not sure how functional it is because I was more focused on the game than I was any of the stories or color coding, but very creative nonetheless.

    • CapeKid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I didn't mind the crazy shapes every so often. But I felt that the threshold for those huge blocks should have been more diggs and the small blocks would have been less diggs. It is nearly impossible to do well with every brick being 6 or 7 blocks each.

  • falstaff, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9It's got a few bugs (my game froze when the next piece came up "undefined"), and it needs a few more features (classic shapes or extended, plus hard drop and maybe redefine the controls a little), but with a little more polish, this unofficially becomes the greatest use of the Digg API ever. Just a few weeks earlier, and it would have had a serious chance at winning the contest.

    Pause while clicking, all sorts of ideas are coming up. Oh and sounds. Sounds will make people scream or rave or rant.
