Vector Wars

arcade.itch.com — A new action shooter where you battle through increasingly intelligent waves of alien ships. WASD to move, mouse to aim and shoot and spacebar to use your bomb. If the game runs slow on your PC goto settings and disable the effects. The music is a little loud so if playing from work make sure to hit the mute speaker button in bottom right.

      I listen to Pandora at a moderate volume in the office so getting something like flash mute won't work for me. I hate being assaulted with somebody's techno/house when I load one of these games.

    • terrix, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2Except you can't move in one direction and shoot in another in Asteroids, nor do the enemies break into smaller pieces, about all they have in common is they are both shooters.

      This is more like Geometry Wars then it is Asteroids, Asteroids is old and was fun in the day, but Geometry Wars is far more action packed and harder to master.

  • smergs, on 05/05/2008, -1/+3I thought I was going to see that Geo Wars(the one that looked exactly like Geo wars but sucked my balls) rip off from a few months ago when I clicked this. Glad to see it wasn't that. For the 20 seconds or so that I played it seems to be a good time waster from work. I might get in trouble if I waste time at work today though so I guess I'll have to check it out later. Dugg so that I can do that.

  • chrgrose, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1I got over 300k but there is a huge glitch that made it way too difficult to get farther. Whenever i tried to move my ship up or down my whole browser would scroll (didn't matter that I had the flash screen active)..... what a ***** piss off.

    Grid Wars 2 is a Geometry Wars-like game
    and Echoes is like Asteroids on crack - This is the only 2D game I have ever seen that some computers can't run on max settings .. it's insane.


    Both are awesome.
