The game is Planarity by John Tantalo
http://planarity.net/ - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I dunno... let me ask my goldfish.
- Omniquisitor, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Kept me entertained for a while. The same mathematical concept holds for any number of vertices I'm sure, so it's a trivial, if difficult game.
What would make it more difficult (and perhaps more fun, if you're a masochist) is to specify the minimum number of moves needed to undo the 'knot.' - raindogmx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6If only real strings had dragging points like these.
- gregm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Level 6 and I got bored of it.
- ADIOlab, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4agreed. i just saw level 5...
***** that, i dont need the headache. im done. - odaen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Easy solution for all levels:
Select a point. Move all connected points adjacent to this one keeping links between moved points non-overalapping. Choose a new point out of the ones you moved adjacent to the current point and do the same as you did for the initial point and repeat until done. You need to keep your points nice and compact, expecially for levels above 10. Ignore all links to points you havn't touched yet. They will be grey until you touch both ends of the line anyway.
I got up to 15 before i got bored. - sphinx13, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Why do the same crappy games get to the front page repeatedly?
- MrZop, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4not sure. but i remember this being front page awhile back. not even a good game.
- Valtiel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Level 4 was such a hassle I'm not even going to attempt Level 5.
- Crucifix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Agreed. I gave up at level 9 without even bothering to drag a dot. It's just the same strategy over and over again - each new level just takes a bit more time.
- PatrickBeseda, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Ahh the misquito advert! I'm on level 5
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1level 9 and i thought i was actually getting somewhere but i cant deal with 15+ levels
- murtlest, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1level 16, this wasted my whole day
- ardenr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1level 10, checked the high scores and my game disappeared. Don't do that! My tip: follow Odaen's advice, but start in the corners with vertices linked only to two and you'll have a much easier time of it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I'm at level 5 and i'm pretty sure I won't get much farther.
- sideral, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Level 10. I liked this game, it's interesting. But maybe I've had enough of it for the rest of my life.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1im on 7
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1level 5
- MrSidnet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yea how is this game hard? It takes a minute..but it;s not hard..
- MrPeach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Got to lvl 20, using a different method than mentioned above. Probably took longer though. ^_^
- pronouncable, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, a year is sooo long as to make a game made on the web untraceable to it's author. The original is clearly Planarity and that's hit the front page sometime back.
- AriaStar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Odaen, you pointed out the solution I was just going to mention. An emphasis on keeping it compact.
- elf586, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2this game has been around for a while....i doubt it can be traced back to the original programmer...i have seen at least 15 different versions....from 15 different people
- ki1022, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3That mosquito flash ad REALLY pisses me off! lol
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hahahaha
- roostishaw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1this is new...
/sarcasm - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2SAVE SCREENSHOT TO PROVE YOUR LEVEL
- JonBuddy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I love the way 'intercepts' is spelled. I find it more entertaining than the game itself.
- popflop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you get the mosquito ad just reaload the page until you get a less annoying ad.
- petrosgr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Thanks for pointing out that the game was originally made by John Tantalo. I changed the text and gave credit to him. Don't really want to apologize here but the game says nothing on the flash about its creator.
I will not delete the game for now because some people have it bookmarked and it would look bad to just delete it. I hope anyone understands my position, running a humour site and tracking down every single photo or game is impossible.
Anyway, thanks for the diggs. I am really honoured. - timmage89, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Why Valtiel, what are ya, chicken?
- rusackas, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1or intersect, for that matter.
- Rhelim, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1you spelled intercept wrong.

What is Digg?
