- fletchowns, on 10/12/2007, -1/+56It's time for a FLICKERPUSS TESTRUM!
- bairy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+49I used to love this game so much. So brilliantly put together and it even ran on a at-that-time low end PC smoothly. I hope there's a YDKJ 7 on the horizon.
- dslabuser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+26I remember when you could play the whole game over the internet it was updated twice a week. It was very good.
- bradmyers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25I sent an email a couple of months ago to the guys at Jellyvision. Their response was SOO perfect and in line with the humor in the game I thought everyone might appreciate it..

Subject: PLEASE....PLEASE...FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY!!!
Yes..I'm yelling in the subject line.
I LOVED YDKJ Netshow and Acrophobia. Lately I've had this HUGE hankerin for some good old trivia fun.. and especially to play against my buddies on the internet.. but alas.. no jack.. no fun.
Netshow was YEARS ahead of it's time. Not only was it technically a masterpiece, but it was brilliant from beginning to end. PLEASE bring it back.. Open Source it.. do something! Let Others create content and piece together a game.. (see http://www.pop5.com for an idea of what I
mean)
Acrophobia.. How hard would it be to open source this gem and let people have some fun like the good ol days??

Hey there Bradley,
First off, you may have noticed that in responding to your e-mail, I decided NOT to yell at you via the subject line. No need to go all caps-lock here, let's just take this one thing at a time.
"No Jack...no fun." That's a mighty fine quote you've come up with there.
Would look great on ads, wouldn't it? Can't say it's entirely true, as I must ashamedly admit, there have been *a few* times in my life where I have had fun without the use of Jack.
So what you've been doing without Netshow over these past years, I have no idea. I hope I don't disappoint you when I say that there are currently no plans of re-releasing these old Jellyvision products that you loved so much.
BUT I will say this: Keep checking back at our website (maybe in about a month or two?) as there are new plans for Jack in the works which you may very well enjoy.
But until then, I challenge you to have some good-old-fashioned trivia fun without the use of Jack. Might I suggest some of my old favorites such as "Which Part of a Chicken is This?" or "How Many Times Can You Count to One?"
Oh, and don't forget "Name That Odor!"
Thanks for your interest and take care.
SINCERELY,
JELLYVISION, INC. - kasted, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20you dont know jack about servers
- TheJuggernaut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Wow! This brings back memories.... The new Cookie doesn't seem quite as surly as the old one, but I love the simple elegance and display of the original. Welcome back, Jack.
(Remember those great, cheesy question intro songs? "You're my question four / for evermore / I love youuuu / my question four.")
Question 4: The Question that cares. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15The Zombie Jesus?!?!?
- KingMoses, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11And you're the only one.
- mcflail, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I was on the site last week and used the feedback form to ask what was going on and I got this response - so it sounds like something bigger and better is coming!!

Hey, we just couldn't wait to tell you about the big things that are afoot, here at Jellyvision. We wanted it to be a huge surprise, but we just can't wait any longer. It's called the Daily DisOrDat, and it's-
What?!
You've already heard of it?!
What a pisser.
Anyway, it's official now. YOU DON'T KNOW JACK proudly presents The Daily DisOrDat. It's a unique opportunity to test all that worthless knowledge in your coconut, and your ability to divide information into two neat columns. And a brand-spankin’ new question comes your way every weekday. For nuttin’! So now you have absolutely no excuse to be doing the kinds of things that would actually earn your paycheck.
Head on over to ydkj.com to try it out. Once you're there, you can register with the site, post comments on the games and sign up to be the first to know when we feel like doling out even more free crap.
So, you think you know everything now? WRONG! What you don't know is that the Daily DisOrDat is just the tip of the trivia iceberg. This is just a mere prelude to the forthcoming [SFX: Ta-Ta-Ta-TAAAA!!] JACK ONLINE. It's everything you love about YOU DON’T KNOW JACK, without those pesky CD-ROMs. And it's coming soon, to your computer screen.
So head on over to ydkj.com, to sign up for updates and breaking news, and to sample our shiny new wares. We’ll leave the light on.
It's time to wrack your brain.
It's time to prove your mettle.
It's time to be humiliated by a computer program, once again.
Jack's Back. - tabledesk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I would like to see a multiplatform console release at a bargain price. Say 40 dollars to buy next-gen YDKJ for Wii, 360 or PS3. That ***** would sell.
- EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8YDKJ is the first streaming web game I ever remember on the PC. That was close to 10 years ago and unfortunately there are still few games that can match its production values and continual new content. Nuthin' better than screwing your opponent.
I got all excited that it was going to be the full game again. :( Still dugg because it brings back a lot of memories. - Toupee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Harry Gottlieb, the first host, was by far my favorite. I wish he would return if they make a sequel.
- whamdanglers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Cookie reminds me so much of the announcer from Maximum Exposure. God... two dead franchises I loved.
- Strider817, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I used to love how when it asked for your name if you didn't put in anything for like 15 seconds it would assign an amusing one for you.
- JonnyTrombone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Looks like you just got screwed....
- ericeman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Yay, dis-or-dat! Awesome news!!
- EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I'm not sure the Wiimote would add much, but the Wii is the greatest party system of all time and YDKJ was one of the best multiplayer games of all time, so it seems like a natural fit.
- sfmman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6One of my all-time favorite game series EVER! So many good versions....
and then a few bad ones... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7You think you know trivia?
- ketsugi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9I would love a Wii version of YDKJ 7... Playing YDKJ with the Wiimote promises great fun!
- AppleTamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Hosted by Paul Reuben's... Who could forget that?
- SuitCase874, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Too bad BeZerk is not around anymore. YDKJ the Netshow, Acrophobia and Get the Picture were a hell of a lot of fun to play.
- rebelbranch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4YDKJ was my gateway drug to Internet addiction.
- seneyr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Did a little more research on this. According to a forum post by someone at Jellyvision, they're going to relaunch Jack Online.
http://free.prohosting.com/jellyvis/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.cgi?board=news;action=display;num=1165196051 - stigma15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think a FlashGame will be better than a CD release because they are able to keep the subjects and humor up-to-date/topical. However, they should do a console version because who wants to gather their friends 'round a single keyboard? I think a 360 Live Arcade release would do great, but I wouldn't bet on it happening.
- tkmluv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3http://duggmirror.com/playable_web_games/The_Return_of_You_Don_t_Know_Jack/
- Shawn1141, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I think this would be a perfect game to release onto xbla
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Oh dear, it's been dugg.
- drtyfrnk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is awesome news!
I dug out my you don't know Jack's out of a box in my basement a few months ago and I can't put this game down. It's just hilarious - dan2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Did it just go down?!
- Coolgamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Also, some notes.
1. There's a special final response to the Gibberish F you code if you hit a key during the third part.
2. Some games have YDKJ bloopers, but you need to know how to access them. One of our forum members found this.
3. The Ride's Gibberish has responses for "screw you" as well.
4. Some of the games aren't compatible with XP, like sports and offline. Remakes for sale now are compatible. - Pebcak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Ahhh I remember playing YDKJ and Acrophobia. Those were sooo fun. I wish Jellyvision would bring them back. :-(
- Coolgamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Jellyvision rocks. I'm one of the regulars at the unofficial forums (which became official). They put the user names of our members into the Lost Gold game as an Easter egg! Major geek bragging rights!
- 1911wolf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Nice. I still have my CD's of 1-3. I've played them so many times, I like to load them up and play friends that never have. Hilarious!
- briankealer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I loved playing this game as a kid -- glad to see it coming back to life.
- inturnaround, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3POWER SURGE!
- tito13kfm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Register for the site, you won't be disappointed by the questions they ask.
- DrewBlood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I just installed 6 a couple of weeks ago. Not nearly as fun as the first 3, but it worked.
- bouche, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I used to play this ALL THE TIME back in the mid nineties! Good STUFF!
- MadManMund, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Why does the load progress bar resemble a condom unrolling?
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That was rather enjoyable! 6/7 and $2870. Nicely designed. I'll be back for more.
- ophilye, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I personally loved the Acrophobia. I sucked at it, but I still loved to play it.
- sfmman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Does anyone remember the highly advertised You Don't Know Jack TV show that only lasted for about an episode?
- seneyr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sports is compatible with XP, just not the installer. If you still have a Win98 machine lying around, you need to install it on that and then copy the files over and some registry settings to the XP machine and you should be good to go.
Check these steps out. I know for a fact they worked for me:

- sinembarg0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2FLICKERPISS TESTRUM, not puss!
- cozinator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It was amazing how smooth the online game ran, even over dialup. Sure, the audio was a little tinny, but the whole experience felt years ahead of its time.
- cdf12345, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I remember later in the series question 4 looked all normal, then it got all blinged out and it said "The question that still cares"
- tito13kfm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Many Dis or Dats that are up aren't linked from the page.. here's 1
http://www.youdontknowjack.com/node/20
Just change the number for more Dis or Dat action. - iamafatguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2ydkj5 internet play still works. I love these games.
