- kingatrock, on 08/21/2008, -0/+44Wow.. moving your mouse over the picture shows the file names either "real#.jpg" or "#.jpg"

- constantine111, on 08/21/2008, -3/+34well it doesnt help WHEN IT TELLS YOU THE ANSWER WHEN YOU MOUSE OVER THE FUKIN PICTURE
- neuens07, on 08/21/2008, -0/+27agreed. I said untouched for the one with george bush and the rubix cube. If I remember right, it is staged with a look-alike, not shopped. Maybe I'm wrong though.
- physco827, on 08/21/2008, -0/+26Ill take slow ass websites for 600 please
- ireland88, on 08/21/2008, -5/+31***** thing sucks!
- TrueBlueJP90, on 08/21/2008, -2/+2863% not bad. I think it's a cool test. With a very skilled shopper, you may never tell the difference.
- Spudster, on 08/21/2008, -0/+23I hate how the answers don't show the pictures. Makes them bloody useless. Bad design and interface if you ask me.
- LordScarab, on 08/21/2008, -1/+23The big dog is real his name is hercules and the Min body builder is real "At just 2ft 9in, Indian muscleman Aditya 'Romeo' Dev is the world's smallest bodybuilder." Interesting but they got quite a few wrong
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 08/21/2008, -0/+21Small photos that hide the editing artifacts by dropping down the resolution.
- AReallyGoodName, on 08/21/2008, -1/+1863% isn't that far above random guessing in a 2 choice quiz.
- coheedcollapse, on 08/21/2008, -0/+14They should have more sneakily named these before uploading them.
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 08/21/2008, -0/+12Yea helped that some of these photos were on Digg before.
- vinceislegend, on 08/21/2008, -7/+19***** you Babyman.
- Poorlytoldjoke, on 08/21/2008, -0/+10I was wondering if they considered HDR photography to be photoshopped. It's unaltered, but just taking 3 different contrasts and pushing them together.
- vinibinini, on 08/21/2008, -0/+9um i play this game everyday on digg...
- GMofOLC, on 08/21/2008, -0/+8Umm, digitally rendered != photoshopped.
So I think I deserve better than a 57. - Mononuclear, on 08/21/2008, -0/+7http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/hercules.asp
The dog in the picture is not Hercules. - spambutcher, on 08/21/2008, -0/+6I got 97% - but I cheated.
Every image that's real has "real" in the file name.
(a few pages came up blank - so I just guessed - apparently I missed one) - asus2000, on 08/21/2008, -0/+6So is water.
- jasmus, on 08/21/2008, -0/+6The Internal Server Error is so shooped, I can tell.. pixels and stuff
- SasaLukac, on 08/21/2008, -1/+727 is real: (http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://thesport ...
and i'm pretty sure 19 is too.... - morphinapg, on 08/21/2008, -1/+70% would actually mean 100% as you would know exactly which ones to say photoshopped and which ones not to
- iAmGeek, on 08/21/2008, -0/+6Half the "larger versions" were either the same size or even smaller. And a few of them were the same size but longer or wider or they weren't even the same picture. Like the hog picture. I clicked on that and got a completely different photo.
- T440, on 08/21/2008, -0/+570%.....had nothing to do with my ability to tell the difference from real and fake, I've just seen half of these images before.
- noisymime, on 08/21/2008, -1/+6Photoshopped != Digitally rendered
- dawgma, on 08/21/2008, -1/+5Quite a few of these answers are wrong...
- Ryanx0r, on 08/21/2008, -0/+4I got 70%.. but that's because I've seen some of the original works before.
Too bad there isn't any 'you're wrong, you're right' remarks after making a choice.. would like to know which one's are and aren't photoshopped.
Edit: Oh ok.. you can see the answers at the end.. but then you'd have to either remember them all, or go back.. argh. - noahgelman, on 08/21/2008, -0/+4I wish they could shop for a new ***** server
- joshcxa, on 08/21/2008, -0/+4Some of the "photoshop" ones weren't even photoshop. On of them was actaully illustrator!
- coheedcollapse, on 08/21/2008, -0/+4There's a difference between blending exposures and "***** the ***** out of a photograph with photomatix and the detail bar".
I assume if three exposures were blended and that's that, it might not be considered photoshop, but all of this fake fairy tale ***** that people love to produce when using "HDR" is definitely "photoshopping" in my book. - npowel, on 08/21/2008, -0/+3Agreed. I'm not quite sure why it didn't give me the point for saying #28 isn't Photoshopped, seeing as it isn't. They seem to be confusing digital renders with Photoshopped images as well.
- TheKingInYellow, on 08/21/2008, -0/+3the miniskirt pic is not photoshopped. those are/were a popular style of clothing in japan.
- freakstyle571, on 08/21/2008, -0/+380% I thought it would have been harder. There were some I knew I was gonna get wrong as I clicked my answer. Maybe I spend too much time on the internets?
- bizkit00, on 08/21/2008, -0/+3down for the count.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 08/21/2008, -0/+3It's a lot easier when you realize that the image name you see when you mouseover the image gives away the answer...
- shadyconcepts, on 08/21/2008, -0/+3hm..that 500 server error is DEFINITELY shopped. i mean, the reflections are all wrong!
- alcavit, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2damn 2% i must suck
- WillyWonka, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2I think I got 33% wrong because they were 3D renderings done in Max and Maya (that I've seen before). I wasn't sure what to pick on those.
- alcavit, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2agreed
- lbtori, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2Thank you coheedcollapse..
People need to stop misusing the term HDR. It's starting to become equivalent to the halo-ridden flickr style and it's a shame as it delays technological progress. Also, technically, even if the photo is not destroyed in photomatix, if several exposures are combined to an 8-bit image that can actually be displayed on our screens then some sort of tonemapping has taken place either through photomatix or photoshop or whichever app. So in a sense, in the case of HDR images, as long as our screens stay LDR we'll see an edited image. - LuxFX, on 08/21/2008, -1/+3It's a fun *idea*, but it's an unreliable test. There's at least one that was marked Fake that wasn't, which brings the reliability of the other answers in question. #27 is Romeo Dev the "world's smallest bodybuilder" -- the original pic can be seen here:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-513820/Min ... - inactive, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2it'd be cool if they gave you the answers at the end..
- Mononuclear, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2Also the bodybuilder one if you look at the pic link it is one of the real images and if you enter it as untouched you get it right. It seems their answers at the end are wrong but in the test it's right.
Edit: Actually the answer key for some reason thinks the bodybuilder pic is #26 when it's really #27 - ar0ne, on 08/31/2008, -0/+2ummm this link is taking me to a quiz about surviving the apocalypse...
"How Well Would You Survive A Post-Apocalyptic Globally Warmed World?" - marinLETOILE, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2Dugg for the Damen stop on the El.
- econofast, on 08/21/2008, -0/+2Yeah, unless CS4 comes with a "replace image with actual photo of a lookalike" filter (specifically the Bush vs Rubik's photo), that is not "shopped". Also, almost any photo you see nowadays has been adjusted for levels, color balance, etc, in Photoshop. Or the Bert Monroy "painting". Is something that is entirely created in Photoshop (and illustrator) "shopped"? Usually the term refers to a manipulation of an actual photo.
Semantics, maybe, but I want a recount! -
