- invisiblesun, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I'm in the beta and it is pretty cool. It eats up CPU big time, especially on my ibook. It's really fast-paced which can be a bit nerve wracking. The rulesets have changed too, so don't expect super strong typhoon towers to get you through later levels.

- TacticalPenguin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It only eats cpu because you're using an iBook; my vaio's fan (1.86ghz pentium M and a 128mb nvidia card (i doubt that even gets used by flash, i could be wrong though)) doesn't even speed up or get louder when I play it.
cerealjynx - it's in private beta right now, about 2000 people are in it right now. Based on how it looks, I'd say itll open in a week or two.

- arcooke, on 10/10/2007, -14/+10I am so sick of this particular tower defense getting so much exposure. The graphics are horrible and it's one of the least advanced TD (feature-wise) game I've seen. There have been hundreds of clones of this game since the Starcraft version, and most of them are 100x better than this one. These were just the first few links on google searching for "tower defense games". There's tons.

DTD is so popular because it allows you to build your own mazes. Creativity makes a great game. - TacticalPenguin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2The others are a fixed maze and you sit there while the creeps come through. DTD gets so much exposure because you build the maze as you go and that makes it so unique and such a great game; if by "least advanced" you mean "most unique" then yes I agree. The graphics do not suck, they are just simplistic. If you don't like it, you don't like it; don't go spouting biased/opinionated BS at others.

I'm in the beta and I really like the multi player capabilities, but some of my friends aren't near as good as I am in DTD so having a larger map/harder waves of creeps with multiple people building/upgrading would be a lot of fun.

- whoisKeel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2First off, Nuke is only available in a certain mode of play. Two, last I checked, it costs 12 points to Nuke. The points are handed out rather sparingly, so you can't just Nuke every level, or every 5 levels or anything like that.
- TacticalPenguin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Levels are only sent out once one of the players defeats the last level; you cannot send levels in advance. Also, nukes cost 12 points and through the entire game (50 levels) you only get 30-75 points (for me anyways)

it is pretty fun, definitely needs work though. kind of laggy and you can't see your enemies mazes in real time ( with critters ) which kind of sucks.
