Phit: I can't stop playing this game
jeffwofford.com — This puzzle game is so simple yet so addictive. You slide Blokus/Tetris-style pieces around, trying to fit them all into the yellow area at the bottom. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes I swear it can't be done until I finally figure it out. You have to try this--could it be the new Tetris?
- 1218 diggs
- digg it
- leereeves, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Thanks a lot ;)
I'm stuck on level 13 and won't give up! How many hours...levels, that is...are there?- Salgat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I gave up after 17. It became repetitive.

- DimBimbleby, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5There are 100 "main" levels, but the levels keep getting randomly generated up to 9999 and beyond.
- blaaguuu, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4"up to 9999 and beyond."
make up your mind... "up to 9999" or "beyond"?
Sorry... I just hate it when people say stuff like that. Especially commercials that say "Savings up to 50 percent... or more!"
- blaaguuu, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4"up to 9999 and beyond."
- ThinkBox, on 10/11/2007, -13/+1level 12 was the first one to take me over a minute and 1/2 .... and im watching a movie.
It really isn't that challenging, the hardest part is clicking all around to move the blocks around... not finding where they should go.- leereeves, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3The first 12 were easy, but it gets harder.
- ThinkBox, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1so i have to waste 13 minutes before it starts getting fun? no thanks.
- leereeves, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3No, you can jump to higher levels without playing the easy ones.
- ThinkBox, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1so i have to waste 13 minutes before it starts getting fun? no thanks.
- wendelgee2, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6I bet you're the smartest guy you know.
- bds268, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Then you need another drink...
- MrSidnet, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Isnt ..umm...that part of the game? Moving the pieces around, then fitting them in. Two steps.
- leereeves, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3The first 12 were easy, but it gets harder.

Mirror?- Scynet, on 10/11/2007, -6/+56Phit: I can't start playing this game.
- fwedwic, on 10/11/2007, -12/+3DIGGG please make all replies under one base comment visible with only one click! i think we can all assume that if we click it once we wanna see what everyone has to say about it. THANKS!! ps fixing the problem (digging someone down meant all further replies were unreadable ) was excellent!
- dggeek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Under your viewing preferences, choose "Show all threads." I've found this to be a nice compromise between the old system and the new. I still get to see all threads without clicking around, but I get to see them nested. Comments below my threshold are still minimized. It's similar to slashdot's system (which is, after all, the main reason to read slashdot).

- Beevo, on 10/11/2007, -20/+4Yet again..... Diggs =/= page hits.
- xtmno3, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Who cares if diggs != page hits? It is still down, and it happened (apparently) at 42 diggs. Shablog's statement is still correct.
- mikesherov, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Yes, but his statement implied a correlation.
- ShakeWell, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7of course there's a correlation...

- redxii, on 10/11/2007, -4/+21≠
- PhilH, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1It was down after 38 when I first saw it. Makes you wonder why people continue to digg a page that they can't access. None of the mirrors on this page are working.
- resplence, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5People digg a page they can't access to bookmark it and come back to check it later. It's not a mystery.
- Beevo, on 10/11/2007, -20/+4Yet again..... Diggs =/= page hits.
- TroyBenedict, on 10/11/2007, -11/+4Dugg down simply because "I can't stop playing this game" = "Addictive". If the game isn't fun, I would hope people wouldn't post it. Can we all assume that if somebody posts a flash game, that it's fun?
- Fraff5, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Agreed. Boring as *****.
- funkmachine, on 10/11/2007, -2/+54No, it won't be the new Tetris, but you knew that already. You just said it so that people would be more likely to click on the link.
- Salgat, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1I buried this lame game.
- mishsquish, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Because, of course, when you submit an article on Digg, you don't want people to click the link.
- tnvwboy, on 10/11/2007, -10/+7Am I the only one who thought the name of the game was some bizarre new hacker variation of *****?
- DoomMusic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yes you are.
- rryyyaannn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Oddly enought I thought the same thing.

- shertzerj, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Interesting how artpop posted the exact same comment, sans period at the end, four minutes before this one, yet this one has more diggs. The comment must make all the difference!
- landmonster, on 10/11/2007, -13/+7Phit: Rhymes with *****
- TheSolomon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Phit also rhymes with fit, but sadly that comparison doesn't tickle those of us just *dying* for an excuse to use one of those naughty words mommy and daddy warned us about.
Grow up.- spudnic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Phit doesn't rhyme with fit, they're homophones.
- Fafnir43, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Huhuhuh. Huhuh. Huh. He said "homophones". Huhuhuh.

- Mortiferous, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22Check it out, now you HAVE to stop playing this game. We broke it for you.
- TheSolomon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Exactly. "You have a game on the web that you absolutely can't stop playing? No problem! Just watch, as the digg effect comes to your rescue!" ;-)
- rimco, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10I tried this game, but I just ended up throwing a hissy phit.
- LightsOut565, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1lol, don't hurt yourself
- sephiroth965, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Now you're just trying too hard, give it a rest.
- rimco, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I will have you know that that joke took no effort whatsoever.. first thing that popped into my head when I saw the story title... yes, I'm just that lame.
- fffizzz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4would be better if it didnt feel so unresponsive most of the time.
- Nurjle, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3The drag constraints are a pain in the ass, turning what might be a distraction into an irritation.

- LightsOut565, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Heres How to Do LVL 13
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/579/lvl13ap5.jpg - 5HTP, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I really don't see what's at all new, addictive or special about this game. It's an old idea with different graphics
- aggrazel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Tangram puzzle the new tetris?
I used to play it on my gameboy in the 80s... was called daedeleon opus or something. - j3one, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3This is so phricking phrustrating...

http://tinyurl.com/yvakft - dajs, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2why are people digging this even though the site(s) is down?
- wheezy2, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Because people digg stuff and then open it.
- CharlesMay, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Or they're clicking the digg button on the mirror
- 3toe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0The game is great, when I was able to play it. We'll still be able to get to it once the problem is resolved.
- wheezy2, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Because people digg stuff and then open it.
- chazzbro, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0I get so tired of people throwing up their new games on servers that can't handle it.
Here's a little TIP for the entrepreneurial among us:
Come up with an easy model for embedding ads in these games. SO easy that there's no excuse for not using it.
So that, instead...these games can be hosted on a bunch of sites willing to handle the load...and EVERYBODY wins. Money flows back to the game creator, and game sites get the traffic.
This really cannot be that hard.- LesPaul75, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I think this is the idea behind those "Mochi" ads, or whatever they're called, that you see in a lot of Flash games now.
- smd31, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Stuck at 12 :/
- smd31, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2make that stuck at 19....
- theman8631, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Phit: I can't start playing this game
- privatewreckage, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0stuck at lvl22 =/
really adictive, in the way sokoban was :) - decay, on 10/31/2007, -1/+6I can't start playing this game.
- dizlexik, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'd really love to start playing this game.
- LesPaul75, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4It is interesting for a while, but then it just starts to feel like work. There have been a few games like this recently, which basically amount to solving a math or geometry problem that's known to be NP-hard. The one with all the dots in a circle where you had to "untangle" the lines comes to mind.
It seems inevitable that soon we'll be seeing games like...
"Salez-Man: Help the traveling salesman find the shortest path through all the cities!"
"Special Delivery: Arrange all the boxes so that they fit in the back of the U.P.S. truck!"
"The Add-It-Up Challenge: Find the subset of the numbers that adds up to zero!"- picardo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1hahahaa. That has been in the back of my mind too. It's like the games are designed by frustrated mathematicians.
