- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -20/+53polyphonic spree is a ***** cult...
- immersofloctan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28This is great. The overall style and the absolutely minimal point & click interface really make me feel like a small child again. I'd love to be able to read a children's book again the way I used to when I was little, discovering every image bit by bit.
If you liked this one, you should definitely give these a shot:

Made by Amanita Design as well. They must be nice people. - raid517, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Yeah, so for us non gamers - how the ***** do you play it?
- benguild, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24This music is completely different from heavy metal. Heavy metal sets a complete different mood and has a whole different intention and meaning behind it...
- f0dder, on 10/12/2007, -6/+26so far i got the people to move arms and turtle to blink eyes. Not very addicting
- spiffyfitz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18flow had noise, not music.

-fixed the headline - hobgobbler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Here this will keep you busy: http://www.samorost.net/
- Grimme, on 10/12/2007, -5/+14This game is very interesting and the music is incredible. Reminds me of Jellyfish. Digg this!
- rossmcd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8First track reminds me of Sigur Ros. I'd check out their new album.
- WallyAnti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Yes and if you haven't seen them live you most definitely should. One of the few bands that actually has a Theremin and uses it well. Last show I saw had an incredible harp lead out at the end that has stuck with me to this day. There are over 20 people in The Polyphonic Spree which makes it a really unique show. The lead singer for this band is from Tripping Daisy from the 90's. I met him once in Dallas, really awesome guy. Also their shows usually don't cost a whole hell of a lot.
- wush, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Nice "game" but the article description is a way over the top.
- cyclopsface, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5all you need is a little curiosity! ;)
(ie. try clicking on everything - more than once) - judgeFire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Yes. they did this game in 2004 for their 'Together we're heavy' - album and it keeps getting noticed again and again.

- eclectro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Actually they have moved out of the robes and are in uniforms now. They look quike dashing, rather than their previous commune look.
- Cubedude04, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I did what you said and listened to it in the dark with my computer.
- ZiGz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5click the things stickin out of the cactus until they drop fruit. drop all three at relatively the same time, then click the turtle. finally, click on the guy who the turtle drags in.
ill leave the other levels up to you - thiagoleon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is not an action game - the "challenge" is to find what to do. In this case, find clickable points in each stage, and watch the cute animations.

- sleepwalkers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4How on earth are The Polyphonic Spree an "eery" Sigur Ros? I hardly consider singing about how beautiful the sun is to be "eery".
- actorboy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Not possible, huh?
- Willeth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4As soon as I loaded this up I thought of Samorost. Good to know I'm not alone. :)
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7"If possible, listen to the music in the dark, with someone you love."
uh. ok then - Asystole, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Oldie but a goodie. The Polyphonic Spree is amazing. Dugg, more people need to see this :)
- outlines, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3uh yeah it's just polyphonic spree.they've been around for awhile.lame title.
- Eddm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Am I the only person who hears subliminal messages in the music, and will these messages tell me how to play the game? Because my common sense sure isn't helping.
Edit: Ok, I've got it now. Quite clever in retrospect. - sleepwalkers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The Polyphonic Spree, as happy and whatever their music is, create some excellent ambient tracks.
- eclectro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Followup: Here's pics of there new garb. IMHO improvement.
http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/38491/Polyphonic_Spree_Ditch_the_Robes - benijuana, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i love the polyphonic spree. having older siblings, i grew up in the 90's to a tripping daisy soundtrack. then their guitarist died and the remaining members started PS with like 30 other people. just some background info. very happy, psychedelic but not overly so. just good music
- rspeed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I have both of their albums. It's very unusual music, especially considering how recent it is, but it's really quite good.
- guyinjapan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3the cactus buds
- diggsIt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That was a trip. Spent a half hour getting through it.
- hawarkarem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The Ployphonic Spree have been around for a while. They quite good but sometimes a little scary because they do look like a cult. But grab some of their music if you're into an eerier (sp?) Sigur Ros.

- spiffyfitz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I love the very first track. I'd like to know the title of it.
- merreborn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Doesn't look like there's any evidence of PS being a cult at all.

Yes, there are a lot of them, and they all wear robes. But that's it. A bunch of guys in robes does not a cult make. - hudson99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Just played both Samarost's - similar in some ways, but they are much, much, MUCH better than the one this stories about.
Thanks for linking them - maybe submit them as a story? Yes they're old - but so is this one. - Niallgriff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The name of the band is polyphonic Spree
- mustafap, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2>"Mysterious Game"
It's an advert. There, cleared that mystery up for you. - ne0shell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I used to be in a couple of bands in the Dallas scene and even back when Tripping Daisy was tearing up Deep Ellum they looked like a ***** cult. Every show they brought about a dozen people to take over the lighting and ***** and they got real bent if everything wasn't perfect. I remember when they trashed Video Bar.....
- SoundJudgment, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Naturally, this is a Site which was built to 'promote' the musical album featured. It was designed to keep the Listener 'engaged' with little puzzles to solve, while giving them a few of the tracks to sample at the same time.
The Flash puzzle was fairly easy to get the 'player' past level 3 and to the end where everyone is singing 'Kumbyaah' together. I can imagine the Beatles using Flash to promote their new releases in a similar manner, had they been around as a group in the '00s... instead of the '60s. ;) - GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3WHA?!?!
This album came out July 13th, 2004 according to the last page.
I didn't really feel confounded... - kixxster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think they look more like a cult now than they did with the robes; at least that was colorful.
- sunchild, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Another crap headline and bizarre description from Cliff. Quantity over quality, every time.
- pearmanjim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2 polyphonic spree is the best feel good music around, enjoy every bit.
- hudson99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Kidding: I played it through and it's ok for one of those "click on random crap" games. Though they did just take "Lemmings", turn them into Hippies and remove the ability to let them die...
Polyphonic Spree: Listen in the dark with someone who also ate a bunch of shrooms. - hudson99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3How do I make the little hippies jump off the cliff and end this torture?
