- naiku, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21DRIFT = Drive Right Into the ***** Tree
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -14/+30It's for people who desire a quick death via rollover.
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Crap just got good at it and the boss caught me....
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+17Pretty lame, and here's why. You can't see anything! You have no way of planning your moves because you can't see the boards. If they expanded the visible playing area, then maybe it might be more fun.
- JuliusCaeser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11This game isn't very fun, considering you can't even see the barriers your trying to get snow on, I would go as far as saying it sucks.
- Aliarse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Cmon dude, all it took was "View Source" to find the link.
http://www.mercedes-amg.com/games/drift/amg_final5.swf - jd5alive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9i just figured it out.... you can get a max of x 7 by sliding by each board at least once.
and you just need to plan a path. i got 1050.583 by doing just that and i still missed a few.
lets call them
(6)-------(5)
-----(7)------
(1)-------(4)
-----(2)--(3)
start by hitting them in order 1-7 then repeat by going from 7,2,4,5,6,7,2,4... - djmik83, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13look at all those exclamation marks...
- CoffeeandTV, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Drifting is pretty lame. Especially in a Mercedes.
- buzz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Does any web game really merit 5 exclamation points?
- ziki, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8i like to just do donuts in the middle.
- nbcivic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6now i want an amg. Wait, i've always wanted an amg.
- Aliarse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Better racing game + Like Need for speed, in the same sentence. = Digg down for you.
- gnyffel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Erk. Bad game.
- intense321, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6You can turn off the traction control in all AMG cars. That's when the fun begins. With the traction control on you can't drift at all.
- Krane, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Indeed.
If you want to try drifting (as in _real_ drifting, not that NFS-blingalingslidingcrap) with your PC, try Live for Speed - http://www.liveforspeed.net
Note: It's not really a drifting game, but a "normal"-racing simulator in which drifting just happens to work without any separate drift-modes thanks to the realistic physics. - s73ve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Drifting has become too American and looks extremely LAME now. Just leave it to the professionals, the Japanese.
- fuggo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Hint: avoid looking at the radar map in the lower right corner. Otherwise you'll know where the boards are.
- Aliarse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5You have to perform a drift between the blue markers on the black boards.
The higher your snow roost + number of markers = more points earned.. - intense321, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Uhh.. yes it is. An AMG car by definition is a 10 second car, dude.
- iLEZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I wish there was some way to filter Digg for descriptions with more than one exclamation mark and too many caps.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+11Pics or it didn't happen

- warox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3People who hate on things other people like are such douches. There's something obnoxious about people judging values and hobbies for their own petty, subjective, and socially crippled reasons.
Dugg down for being a dick - kidcodea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3crap game. www.liveforspeed.net is a much better sim where like irl u can drift.
- shakin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It works fine for me. I'm using the Flash 9 beta from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer9.html
- shifty2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@intense321
I dont see how buying an overpriced heavy car makes it better for drifting.
and i highly double a AMG car can contend with Porche, BMW and Ferrari's highend cars.
Porche GT2 has less HP/TQ as a AMG CLS 63 and weights almost 800lbs less.
I wonder who would win and any category.
My BMW e30 is lightly modified and drifts like a dream @ only 200bhp and total cost of $8000 - justice7, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5your e-peen is too small, you need a smaller penis car.
- djgargamel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Five exclamation points: !!!!!
- polyGone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This has nothing to do witht the game, but this chick I work with just described the frozen water in her water bottle as a 'penis in a jar' and then went around screaming it. She is 29 mind you. I had to tell someone.
- Malcx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4While they're at it...

153"4' x 7 =1073.333 - HoboMaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As with my discussion up top, there's basically no way in hell you're gonna roll a Mustang GT. That car's center of gravity is way too low for it to roll before it overcomes the force of friction on the tires. It'll just slide.
I really need to just write up the physics for this and put it online. I've had this discussion way too many times. - zeroed, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Is it just me, or is this bad marketing?
I mean, the game is great, however, shouldn't merc promote cars that do not skid on snow and ice? - HoboMaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Right. Because people from Japan are inherently better at making a car slide sideways.
- 9teen7ty9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://209.200.250.151/manual/drift.swf
Deja vu - flameboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@crweaks23:
someone probably edited the game's memory. tsearch will do it - Tweak589, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2agreed, play the LFS Demo and you've got two decent drift cars with nice physics. This Mercedes thing is a joke!
- gJon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This game is lame. Now why can't I stop playing it?
754 is my best so far. - tahim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL1YhU0hOIQ
- Dennern, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I got 107'5" x 7... You just gotta plan a route, and the practice it for a while.
- stewieh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Reminds me of the game Miami Ice from Compute! magazine, back in the days when you typed in your own program. Way ahead of its time!
- netdroid9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@flameboy: Wouldn't it be easier to find decompile the flash file and just send a fake score through the PHP/ASP/Whater backend?
- DrAcUlA212, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This game is a rip off of the Subaru Wrx drift game. BURIED!!!!
- Hawkstra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I kinda like this game, its just that it is to hard because i cant see ahead of me.
- shifty2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2you amuse me... my $3000 BMW e30 will drift better than your $175K Mercedes.
- aiken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Indeed, what is it with people thinking that sliding = rolling? In fact, a car is less likely to roll over when it is sliding than it is when cornering at the limits of its grip without sliding (other than the normal slip angle).
That said, you can roll a low center of gravity car while drifting / sliding / whatever is if you hit a curb or get two wheels off into some mud or something. However, that takes some real (lack of) skill, plus bad luck, plus general idiocy for driving like that around curbs or mud-filled shoulders. - bill0001, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2once again PR using digg to promote 'stuff'
I'm getting very tired of this... -
