- daldredge, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20Too bad this won't be on http://www.digggames.com.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Thank you because the blog sucks ass.
- Paroparo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Whoa. This is just plain cool. Thank you Japan. =P
- Smwbigboss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10http://www.fallingsandgame.com/sand/sand7.jar
- Hootyea, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I told you something came before God.
- daldredge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9The point is there is no point. It is simple, mindless fun.
Kind of like digg without the lawyers... - JimDinger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Ok thanks for helping me to waste half my day! Just what I needed.
- ckirsch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Feed the little yellow ball some water and it goes beserk and eats all the stick figures.
- xtmno3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Now with even more sadistic pleasure!
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Its not buried yet
- KJSatz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Oh, I finally understand! You DIGG something, like with a shovel, and you BURRY it, also like with a shovel!
And all this time I thought it was like "yeah I dig the ladies."
Well of course it means both but still. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This is the coolest game I've EVER played!!!!
- VipeNess, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4well where is your version so we can rock it too ?
- VipeNess, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Thanks Man!!
- mattb5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3But does anyone remember the Sand song? That freakin' thing was stuck in my head for weeks!
http://chir.ag/stuff/sand/falling_sand_by_tim_debruine.mp3 - VipeNess, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4This thing is AWESOME!! THANK YOU
can someone rip the code, and make this a downloadable version ?? - bs0l, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6way old, they updated this like two weeks after it was on digg the first time
- Daisuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3and if you blow it up too much, just use salt. :D
- sikkdog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2wanna know how to make the game crash...turn your pen size up to 16 and douse that haystack thing with water.
- jacobee519, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That's not technically a port of this - there are no zombies.
Still cool, though. Check out www.fallingsandgame.com for a whole bunch of these. - dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think you play with this when your boss pisses you off. Waste company time AND envision torturing them. You get him/her back twofold!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wow, this needs some instructions or something. I have no idea what to do.
- surian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You should check out the C++ port of this game. It's called "Burning Sands" and it is absolutely amazing. Plus, it is easily configurable (lots of user mods to make all sorts of new elements/reactions).
http://www.naglmax.de/
Just navigate to "burning sands" - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That is the least accessible website, ever. It can't be accessed without Javascript enabled, and you can't link to the individual pages. I don't know why you would ever think to design a site like that. Even a frameset would be better than that monstrosity.
- skatiN64, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3this was the original
- Himself, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1add salt
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is the most technically complex version of the sand game, but also the least playable. I remember a version of this that let you draw vacuum pipes so that you could create a perpetual system of falling sand. I even coded a sand game in VB6 and I added a zoom window so you could draw really detailed pixel art structures for the particles to go through.
- magshot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is awesome... so many possibilities for fun =p dugg.
- mattmollysdad, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I think i love it but what am I suppose to do? Have to wait for the kids to get home to explain it to me...
- dignation, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you put wax on the bottom and light it on fire the zombies will repetitively light on fire and die, re appear at the top, fall, light on fire and die again... cool
- wallclimber, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just explore a little, try some of the tools, be creative...there are no rules.
- stylerm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2
pressure isn't accurately represented. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It was my first ever VB program. Do you honestly think it's going to go down with Digg? I can see them pitching their tents and sharpening their pig-poles already.
- MrZop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I prefer the one with the explosives, and C'mon, Who wouldnt.
- Bamborzled, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I got that yellow thing so large it filled the screen and even ate the labels! (OK, maybe that was a bug)...
- qqtt991, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dudes make 2 circles of earth and fill the bottum with wax and put 1 zombie on each earth circl and lite the wax on fire and make the zombies fight
- ffachopper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This "game" is amazing! I really can't understand the objective of it, but it's really fun to interact with each object and it's reaction... DUGGED!
- greyfade, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2indeed.
- kevyn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1??? is where its at
- libbydib, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1There are more falling sand games at fallingsandgame.com.
- ryanscott, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1old, but cool.
- Terc, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2START each sentence with caps lock. BECAUSE it looks cooler.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1thats what i'm saying, i dont see a point to it.
- zointax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0There's some.. weird games on that site. Cannon Cat?
- dH2K, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Click on 'support': http://dh.squidcode.com
Every click generates a random stage. I like physics :) - Hootyea, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Check this out. A clone, but meh.
http://fallingsandgame.com/sand/NewSand.html - zzz@tkz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Burried, as stated, it was mentioned on the first digg story.
- seattle98104, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3this was out, the FIRST time hell of sand was mentioned on digg. read the date. lol
- VipeNess, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1oh the irony
