He's really devoted to getting it done and you should see the massive amount of work he's doing. For all those wondering about the legal issues, they've already contacted and got an OK from Nintendo.

It went down due to a virus in all the servers of the hosting company POL is hosted on. POL is hosted on Intel Dual Xeon processors so they are very powerful. The POL staff are only developing POL in their spare time, and are not making any profit from it. The servers are funded using the money from advertising on the site. When the full version of POL is released it will be completely free to play. There will be no charges.

Moon and the Elite Four...PvP fits perfectly....storyline is that everyone is a new pokemon trainer....competitions for non-fighters for prettying up their pokemon and such....crafters can use berries and special pokemon moves to gather resources....complete in 3D graphics, of course :P

Firstly, I'd like to inform everyone that we have moved to a different server and also have a new domain. The new address is http://www.pokemononline.org, for those of you who have not been able to access our site. We've just moved to a different server and hope to have the servers up and running soon. During the downtime, we've been working on the next version.
Also, the game is in development. You are only able to walk, chat, and have basic battles with other players. It's true that there are some bugs, but there are bugs in every game that's in it's development stages. Also, cheats won't be in the game, obviously..POL will be fair for all players. Of all the big game franchises, Pokemon has to be one of the biggest which has never been turned into an MMORPG, and yet it lends itself so perfectly? I just hope that the reason they took so long over getting it out is because they have tested it extensively, all the other games have been very well made.
