- dustko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20I created perpetual motion!
- dmron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10It's funny how things that seem so silly and stupid can be entertaining. I played with this for like 10 minutes before realizing I had other thigns to do. :)
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7http://thecleverest.com/content/attractors.html
that one looks cooler - Traddles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7that's because you're not taking gravity into account. All the water is being pulled down. The earth moves in orbit around the sun in an ellipse because there is no external force pulling the earth in another direction
- kimzor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Interesting game, might be of good use in some sort of lemmings game. :)
- tehJR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I wish this was a screensaver
- gimlik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I've made an infinite loop :)
This is pretty neat. Don't know how you code something like this, but it would be cool to know. - WeThePeople, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Thanks a lot for posting that, there goes another hour of my life watching dots follow a ball. I am helpless against these mind numbing waste of time games, yesterday I'm watching GW bounce off balls in some rag doll game, and now I have one dot doing perfect orbits around a ball and for some reason I can't bring myself to exit the dang thing. I truly need help.
- rageguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4> "I created perpetual motion!"
Does that mean you fail the simulation? - morpheeze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This game utilizes this idea. Kept me entertained for days and i still hear the dripping.
http://www.pangeasoft.net/enigmo/info.html - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Weird...when I put the two dots next to each other, none of the water's orbits are elliptical. Other than that, it's an interesting flash.
- jchip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2awesome game! id really like to be able to control how much water there is and how many dots. it would be awesome to control the strength of gravity between the water and the balls and the water and the ground. Another cool one on his site is http://thecleverest.com/content/attractors.swf its very similar to the water but the particles leave trails.
- garraeth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2another win - w/ just one ball:
http://www.*****.com/images/allwater.jpg - Durinthal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2garraeth: That doesn't count. They orbit freely around that one. vajra's (and mine) are trapped between the two spheres without touching either.
http://img370.imageshack.us/img370/1993/attract1ot.jpg - gcube9x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's like a decaying atom.
- SnowBladerX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just lost 30 minutes of my life playing with this thing,
- solomania9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1PS - The aesthetically pleasing effect I'm talking about is better illustrated in the other variation of this file, linked below:
http://thecleverest.com/content/attractors.swf - vajra918, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I win!
http://img427.imageshack.us/img427/4478/untitled7bk2.png - JonathanHarford, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I found a trailer for the sequel. Looks fun!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzSVXryh6Tw - greendayfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I hated it :(
- mackoid101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is so cool! Reminds me of the falling sand game in the sense that you play with it for hours and never goes anywhere. It's really soothing though!
- stealthrocket, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Enigmo rocks! It has one of the best game designs I've ever played. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
- adam98971, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1woot i got the balls to hold all the water with out the walls
- Sammy20, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2ummm what the hell was that?
- n1000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Woo, this is pretty sick. I wish we had ultra massive (yet easily movable) spheres in the real world.
- Atomic1fire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1that and the falling sand game would be a good combo
- bs0l, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1if u can collect them all so they're held by the two circles, then u drag the circles apart, its all funky and cool.
i love this game! so much stuff to do with it! - bs0l, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i hope whoever makes it makes a new version too, so you can get more circles and such
- solomania9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey everyone - I'm glad you're all having such fun with this thing. I made this animation about two years ago as an experiment to learn more about actionscript, as well as to explore the aesthetic quality of motion. I love how every swoop and turn of the dots is controlled by gravity and as a result, seems to be inherently "beautiful." Plus it's pretty friggin fun. I wish I were a better mathematician and code junky so that I could add all the cool features people are suggesting. Thanks for sharing your thoughts everyone!
- razicop, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1its coool, thanks!
- zanvann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not the best physics game I've seen, but nice to look at nevertheless.
- TannerLD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Fun "game". Too bad there isn't more than 2 balls as it would've been more entertaining.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i dont see how this was fun at all..
- Inc3pt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think I'm missing what the point is. I had fun playing with it though...:D
- KenMo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I blame Bush!
Oops wrong Digg.
Well... he might as well get the blame for this too... - BlackTye, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, they should more gravitation balls... Make things really interesting. Pretty cool thing in general... dugg
- inio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://img92.imageshack.us/my.php?image=complexwj6.png <-most complex setup I could get.
- FantasykeyX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That is awesome. I could probably spend hours playing with it and it's combinations.
- jchip, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0if you guys really like this thing go to
http://www.grc.com/wizmo/wizmo.htm
for a free program with a customizable screensaver called graviton.
its really close to this swf - shamanking, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Im not sure what this is doing but it looks cool lol
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2WoW got boring when I figured it would take a week to get from 55 to 60. I gazve up. Im still at 55.
- PunchMeIBleed, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4@blueblood
One word dude:
LOSER - radar480, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0fun, but really has nothing to do with real physics. i don't remember the part in class where they talked about water defying gravity. i may have mised it though.
- roqs, on 10/12/2007, -16/+0yawn*
- blueblood, on 10/12/2007, -24/+2entertaining for a while? more like for 2 seconds.
