sciencedaily.com — In the wake of a study that documented for the first time the use of weaponry by Cross River gorillas to ward off threats by humans, the Wildlife Conservation Society has announced new field surveys to better protect this most endangered great ape.

- Eunonia, on 12/12/2007, -4/+1thegreatone28, at least you made the most intelligent comment. I salute you. Others are just ingrates. What they need, is the human reasoning, and we are starting to see that in them.

- jaymzdean, on 12/12/2007, -2/+4Was hoping to see an ape standing over dead poachers brandishing a flint axe with a wooden handle, instead was greeted with the text "clump of grass".
- hadees, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3It is really sad. I wish there was more going on to help these animals. I always wondered why Bill Gates is spending all his vast wealth on trying to keep as many humans alive as possible. Just think what his money could do if he bought up the land that is still undeveloped in this world and made them all nature preserves. I bet he would have enough left over as to setup a fund that would hire park rangers to protect the areas and because the amount of his money is so vast the fund could in theory earn enough of normal investments to stay funded forever.
- cptn_cardboard, on 12/12/2007, -1/+3Title got cut off at the end. It should read:
